Human Resource Management Practices and Employee Performance in Canon Chemicals Limited in Kenya
Although several studies have been done on the notion and context of Human Resource Management Practices (HRMPs) and their influence on employee performance in numerous organizations, none has been done within the cosmetic industry in Kenya. Therefore, there was a need for a study to be carried out concentrating on Kenya's cosmetic industry on what HRMPs impact on employee performance. The study was conducted at Canon Chemicals Limited in Mavoko Sub County, Kenya. The specific objectives were to determine the effects of compensation and workers participation on employee performance. The study utilized descriptive research design. A sample of 40 participants was selected using census approach since the population at Canon Chemicals Limited was small. A structured questionnaire was used to collect data from the study participants and all the distributed questionnaires were duly filled and returned. Descriptive statistics used were frequencies and percentage distribution, while inferential analysis were correlations and regression. The findings of the study suggest a moderate relationship between HRMPs and overall employee performance. Contrary to expected results, regression analysis did not show a significant relationship between HRMPs under consideration and employee performance. Therefore, HRMPs should not be generalized to enhance employee performance; rather, other confounding factors that are out of scope in this current study may play a significant role in overall employee performance. The result of this study is an indication that Canon Chemicals Limited should improve on all the aspects of human resource management practices that include employee compensation and employee participation to spur overall employee performance. The organization needs to carry out regular surveys and have merit employee motivation and embrace a human resource management practices policy.

A Review of the Cybersecurity Programs in the United States Army
Cybersecurity is very complex, and as such, decisions regarding cybersecurity are highly intertwined with the functionality and application of systems. The threat to cybersecurity is, however, ever-evolving and decisions regarding cybersecurity, therefore, need to be made with this in mind. Cybersecurity systems, therefore, need to be tailored to individual systems, be adaptive, have the ability to evolve with the threat as well as be highly integrated with the system designs and the mission these systems support . In the military, it is critical to develop systems that maintain the expected level of confidentiality, non-repudiation, authentication, integrity, and availability that aids towards the collective goal of cybersecurity. In the military there are several stakeholders that play a key part in cybersecurity with the main ones being; the ones commanding or using the military system, the ones involved in the acquisition, life-cycle management and testing, the authorizing officials, the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and the intelligence and the counterintelligence officers. Accountability and control is, therefore spread out throughout the organization. This, however, leads to the blurring of roles and responsibilities. In conclusion, therefore, even though militaries exist for the purpose of combat most of the time, they operate in relatively peaceful conditions. During these peaceful times, they imagine and manufacture wartime conditions to determine their preparedness and the chances of a victory with the current conditions and resources. A communication plan approach will be able to tear down the expected natural resistance since the leaders will support the proposed changes and even devote resources to see that they are successful. The purpose of the communication plan is to, therefore, make the leaders the advocates for change. This is based on the understanding that in this environment, change is not possible without support from the leadership.

Critical Review of Apple’s Advertising Strategies in North America
Advertising is a form of communication meant to lead an audience towards a particular decision concerning a product, service, or idea. Advertising sometimes uses narratives for marketing a product. This type of advertising involves the use of a story to sell a good, product, or service. The use of narratives in marketing has become widely used over the past years as other forms of marketing became redundant and ineffective. Narratives evoke a feeling in the audience and are a more effective method than previous ads and marketing tools. Apple uses its narrative in all the advertisements that it does. It researches its consumers’ needs and past purchasing behavior and uses that information to develop strategies that influence the purchasing behavior of targeted consumers. This paper sought to research the advertising strategies that Apple uses to promote its products, how Apple uses narratives in its advertising, how the brand influences consumer purchasing behavior, and an analysis of how companies have imitated the company’s advertising strategies.
