Educación artística, mediación y derechos culturales: el caso del Ateneu de les arts de Viladecans
Get PDFThis article employs a qualitative approach to examine the state of arts education as a tool for community cultural mediation in realizing citizens' cultural rights. It combines a documentary analysis of international, national, and regional regulatory frameworks with a case study of the Ateneu de les Arts de Viladecans (Barcelona). The analysis is framed around three core axes: (1) a historical overview of the international process to institutionalize arts education as an activity linked to cultural rights; (2) an approximate analysis of the current situation in Spanish and Catalan arts education curricula to assess access conditions and inter-administrative coordination; and (3) an exploration of local public policy implementation that connects artistic practice and training with the realization of cultural rights, through the Ateneu de les Arts case study. The study identifies structural barriers limiting arts education's community role in cultural democratization and its value as cultural mediation for developing cultural rights within public policies.
The article concludes by presenting the Ateneu de les Arts as an exemplary local public community strategy promoting artistic practice and cultural rights, strengthening social cohesion through proximity and mediation initiatives. It asserts that arts education must be considered a community right associated with cultural rights, and an effective mediation tool for fostering inclusion and cultural diversity, essential for the expansion of cultural democracy.El artículo adopta un enfoque cualitativo sobre el estado de la educación artística como elemento de mediación cultural comunitaria para materializar los derechos culturales de la ciudadanía. Así, combina el análisis documental de marcos normativos internacionales, estatales y autonómicos con el estudio de caso del Ateneu de les Arts de Viladecans (Barcelona). Para enmarcar y analizar el tema se examinan tres ejes básicos: (1) una aproximación histórica al proceso internacional para institucionalizar la educación artística como actividad asociada a los derechos culturales, (2) un análisis aproximativo a la situación actual en los currículos español y catalán en materia de educación artística para observar las condiciones de acceso a la formación artística y comprobar la actual coordinación entre administraciones públicas, (3) una exploración de la aplicación de política pública a nivel local que asocia la práctica y la formación artística con la materialización de los derechos culturales, a través del estudio de caso del Ateneu de les arts. En este sentido, el estudio identifica barreras estructurales que limitan el papel comunitario de la educación artística en la democratización cultural y su valor como mediación cultural para el desarrollo de los derechos culturales en las políticas públicas.
El articulo finaliza presentando el caso del Ateneu de les Arts de Viladecans para ejemplificar una estrategia pública local comunitaria que promueve la práctica artística y los derechos culturales, fortaleciendo la cohesión social, mediante iniciativas de proximidad y mediación cultural basadas en la práctica artística y creativa. El artículo concluye que la educación artística debe contemplarse como un derecho comunitario asociado a los derechos culturales, y como una efectiva herramienta de mediación para el fomento del valor de la inclusión y la diversidad cultural, fundamental para la extensión de la democracia cultural

This question uncovers a complex tapestry of struggles, resistances, and advancements in the history of women’s education in the United States. This article explores Tyng’s admission to the Graduate School of Design not as an isolated event but rather as the culmination of a century-long effort to access educational spaces traditionally dominated by men. It examines three pivotal moments: the progress made in women’s higher education during the nineteenth century, the gradual inclusion of women in architectural programs from 1870 to 1900, and the institutional openings that arose during the Second World War. The systematic exclusion of women from universities like Harvard inspired innovative responses, including the founding of women’s colleges and specialised schools, which paved the way for Tyng and her peers. Four key factors facilitated this transformation: the persistent demonstration of women’s academic capabilities, the establishment of alternative educational networks, the socioeconomic pressures of the war, and the solidarity among generations of women. This historiographical synthesis, aimed at a general audience, provides Spanish-speaking readers with a critical overview compiled from various Anglo-American sources.¿Cómo logró Anne Tyng estudiar arquitectura en Harvard en 1942? Esta pregunta revela un complejoentramado de luchas, resistencias y avances en la historia de la educación femenina estadounidense. Este texto examina el ingreso de Tyng a la Graduate School of Design no como un fenómeno aislado, sino como el punto culminante de un siglo de esfuerzos colectivos por conquistar espacios educativos tradicionalmente masculinos. Y lo hace analizando tres momentos cruciales: los avances en educación superior femenina del siglo xix, la gradual incorporación de mujeres a programas arquitectónicos (1870-1900), y la apertura institucional durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial. La sistemática exclusión de mujeres en universidades como Harvard generó respuestas creativas, como la fundación de colleges femeninos y escuelas especializadas que prepararon el camino para Tyng y sus contemporáneas. Cuatro factores posibilitaron este cambio: la persistente demostración de capacidad femenina, la creación de redes educativas alternativas, las presiones socioeconómicas durante la guerra, y la solidaridad intergeneracional de mujeres. Sustainable Usage of English: Students’ Attitudes to English Varieties
Get PDFThis article discusses the controversial issue of which variety of English learners and instructors should use. The United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal 4, Target 4.7 states that learners need knowledge to promote peace and cultural diversity. It is argued here that a broad awareness of English varieties is a way to achieve this goal, and that the use of English in online environments can contribute towards its attainment. Two surveys were carried out to investigate how attitudes to varieties of English and to non-standard linguistic norms are changing. They were sent to students of English on online courses at a Swedish university in 2018-2019 and 2019-2021, and were responded to by 100 and 92 informants, respectively. The first survey demonstrated that the informants did indeed have a less strict view of which variety of English to learn and use, while the second survey demonstrated that features such as the omission of subjects, and informal spellings such as “yeah” appear to have become standardised and acceptable in all environments. These results appear to support what has been discussed in the literature, namely, that the use of English online is leading learners to review their beliefs and adopt a less strict view of varieties and norms. Thus, it is argued that online English usage can contribute towards the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal 4, Target 4.7, cultural diversity and an awareness of the multifaceted dimensions of a global language in the 21st century

No full textThe project was developed on a narrow beachfront lot on the Riviera Maya, near Tulum, in Quintana Roo and is fully powered by solar and wind energy. The entire project was cast in an organic blue color concrete, which reacts over time according to its exposure to the sun and its position in the house, creating tones that range from ocean blue to sunset pink. By raising the house on cross-shaped columns, the impact on the environment is reduced and views are generated over the dune that separates the property from the sea. The project is organized on three levels that are connected by a spiral staircase: the auxiliary ground floor below the house, the intermediate level containing all interior spaces, and a large roof terrace with a pool and an outdoor dining room presenting views of the Caribbean Sea, the jungle and the lagoon. Close to the master bedroom a distinct turret is situated: it works as a formal element that anchors the ensemble into place and doubles as a flexible space for work or meditation.El proyecto se desarrolla en un angosto lote frente al mar en la Riviera Maya, cerca de Tulum, Quintana Roo, y se abastece completamente de energía solar y eólica. Todo el proyecto fue colado en concreto con un color orgánico azul, que va reaccionando según su exposición al sol y su posición en la casa, generando una gama cambiante de tonos que van del azul del mar hacia el rosa del atardecer. Elevando la casa sobre unas columnas en forma de cruz, impactamos el entorno lo menos posible y generamos vistas por arriba de la duna que separa el terreno del mar. Así, el proyecto se organiza en tres niveles que se conectan por medio de una escalera en espiral: la planta baja auxiliar abajo de la casa, el nivel intermedio con todos los espacios interiores y una gran azotea con una alberca y un comedor al aire libre ofreciendo vistas al mar caribe, la selva y la laguna. Revisión bibliográfica estructurada (SLR) de modelos logísticos de difusión en la agricultura
Get PDFDiffusion models can help in the decision-making process. In this review, a structured literature review (SLR) approach has been used. Our analysis was based on 945 studies. After an exhaustive review, 31 studies were re-reviewed. Diffusion is a dynamic and complex decision-making process that in the literature has been strictly linked to the expected utility theory. The logistic model is applicable to agribusiness, marketing, the telecommunications industry, electronics products, and agricultural crop diffusion. Diffusion processes have a link to population dynamics, introduced by Verhulst in the mid-19th century.Se presenta una revisión de los modelos logísticos de difusión de cultivos en agricultura; utilizamos un enfoque de revisión SLR. Nuestro análisis parte de 945 estudios. Tras una exhaustiva revisión resultan 31 trabajos. La difusión es un proceso dinámico de toma de decisiones que en la literatura se vincula estrictamente a la teoría de la utilidad esperada. El modelo logístico es aplicable a la agroindustria, marketing, la industria de telecomunicaciones, la difusión de cultivos agrícolas, etc. Los procesos de difusión presentan un nexo de unión con la dinámica de poblaciones, introducida por Verhulst a mediados del siglo XIX
Capacidad de gestión operativa para la certificación de calidad de micro destilerías de mezcales mexicanos con denominación de origen
Get PDFThe arrival of a designation of origin represents opportunities and uncertainties with a direct impact within organisations. This research describes the operational management capacity of micro distilleries (Sonoran bacanora, Mexican mezcal and Jalisco raicilla) in regions where the designation of origin is recent. With a sample of 87 production units, differences were identified by group in the human factor profile, training, use of technology, marketing reach, and progress in quality certification. It is concluded that they must strengthen their operational management in a planned manner to take advantage of the benefits of the DO.La llegada de una denominación de origen representa oportunidades e incertidumbres con impacto directo al interior de las organizaciones. Esta investigación describe la capacidad de gestión operativa de micro destilerías (bacanora sonorense, mezcal mexiquense y raicilla jalisciense) en cuyas regiones es reciente la denominación de origen. Con una muestra de 87 unidades productivas se identificaron diferencias por grupo en el perfil del factor humano, capacitación, uso de tecnología, alcance de la comercialización y avance en la certificación de calidad. The testimony of Catalan narrators educated in this environment serves to show an emotionally critical view of the writers towards the education they received within a space that could be defined as a heterotopia, following Foucault’s conception.El estudio de la función histórica del espacio escolar durante un periodo de la historia de España encaja dentro de las ideas de vigiar y castigar, incluso especialmente en ideologizar. Get PDFThis article presents the findings of a research that allowed us to understand the relationship that Colombian young people between 14 and 21 years old have with the digital ecosystem that encompasses the different social networks consulted either from a browser or an app. A survey was carried out on 1,809 young inhabitants of 112 Colombian towns and 99 in-depth interviews in different towns in Colombia to understand the relationship that adolescents have with social networks and thus understand their behaviors within them. Among the results was their dependence on connecting to the Internet at a time in life when they experience anxiety and uncertainty. It is concluded that excessive use of social networks can cause self-esteem and anxiety problems in adolescents due to the pressure to keep an idealized social image.Este artículo presenta los hallazgos de una investigación que permitió entender la relación que tienen los jóvenes colombianos entre 14 y 21 años con el ecosistema digital. Se realizó una encuesta y entrevistas a profundidad en distintas poblaciones de Colombia con el objetivo de entender la relación de los adolescentes con las redes sociales y así comprender cómo se han modificado las estructuras de poder. Entre los resultados, se encontró su baja producción de contenido audiovisual, así como la dependencia a conectarse a internet en un momento de vida donde experimentan ansiedad e incertidumbre
Perfil psicosocial y criminológico de menores condenados por violencia de género en Valencia
Get PDFPartner or ex-partner violence is a serious social and public health problem and is increasingly occurring at younger ages. The aim of this study is to establish a sociodemographic, psychological and criminological profile of young offenders who have committed gender-based violence and to identify aspects relating to physical violence, recidivism and the circumstances of the minor. The sample comprised all of the minors convicted of gender-based violence offences in the years 2019–2021 in the province of Valencia, including 41 case files from which all of the information was obtained. The results showed that the predominant educational style was permissive and that the variables relating to physical violence include dysfunctional behaviour in class, absenteeism and poor emotional management. These results provide valid information for intervening early and adopting the appropriate measures in different settings.La violencia contra la pareja o expareja es un grave problema social y de salud pública que cada vez aparece en edades más tempranas. El objetivo de este estudio fue establecer un perfil sociodemográfico, psicológico y criminológico del menor infractor de violencia de género e identificar los aspectos relacionados con la violencia física, la reincidencia y la situación del menor. Se consiguió la muestra total de los menores condenados por delitos de violencia de género entre los años 2019-2021 en la provincia de Valencia, consiguiendo 41 expedientes judiciales de donde se obtuvo toda la información. Los resultados mostraron que el estilo educativo predominante fue el permisivo y las conductas disfuncionales en el aula, el absentismo escolar y la inadecuada gestión emocional son algunas de las variables relacionadas con la violencia física. Estos resultados aportan información válida para intervenir de manera temprana y adaptar las medidas oportunas en diferentes los contextos
