Pan-Asia Partnership for Geospatial Air Pollution information : assessment of air quality remote sensing in Mongolia
Mongolia is rapidly urbanizing, resulting in growing concerns about increasing levels of air pollution. Beginning in 1990, industrialization and urbanization have resulted in grave environmental stresses in the once pristine ecosystems of the country (Batsaikhan et al., 2018). Report. Nineteenth Session of the SPECA Governing Council
The Governing Council of the United Nations Special Programme for the Economies of Central Asia (SPECA) will hold its 19th session on 8 November 2024 as hybrid session with in-person and online participation. Under the chairmanship of Kazakhstan, seven SPECA participating countries, Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan will discuss the outcomes of 2022 SPECA Economic Forum and adopt its conclusions and recommendations.The nineteenth session of the Governing Council of the United Nations Special Programme for the Economies of Central Asia (SPECA) was held on 28 November 2024 in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. The 2024 SPECA Economic Forum entitled “Green Development in the SPECA Region” held on 26-27 November 2024, as well as annual session of the SPECA Working Group on Water, Energy and Environment on 25 November 2024 preceded the annual session of the Governing Council. The 2024 SPECA high-level meetings were jointly organized by the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Chair country of SPECA in 2024, the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) and the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE). Recommendations of the Nineteenth Session of the SPECA Working Group on Trade
The nineteenth session of the SPECA Working Group on Trade took place on 3 April 2024, back-to-back with the eleventh session of the Asia-Pacific Trade Facilitation Forum: Leveraging Digitalization for Sustainable Supply Chains (1-5 April 2024). The session focused on advancing digital trade and trade digitalization in SPECA participating States, and reviewed progress of the implementation of the work plan of the SPECA Working Group on Trade. The event reviewed national and regional plans and strategies of the SPECA participating States for sustainable trade development and facilitation and strengthen cooperation among trade diplomats of the SPECA participating States

The Business Licensing in Samoa: A review of the business licensing process from the perspec-
tive of Women Entrepreneurs report was commissioned by the United Nations Economic and
Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) in partnership with the Samoan Ministry of
Commerce, Industry and Labour (MCIL).The main objective of this study was to review the process of acquiring a business license for women
entrepreneurs in Samoa and in doing so, provide recommendations to simplify the process, raise
awareness, and address barriers faced by women entrepreneurs in Samoa. This study focuses on
micro and small businesses owned by women who operate largely in the informal sector and are not
formally licensed
