    An Analytical Study of Pashto Poetic Translations of the Holy Quran

    For non-Arab people to understand the Holy Quran, translation into the national or regional language is required. In this regard, the Holy Quran has been translated into different languages ​​of the world. One of these languages ​​is Pashto, which is understood and spoken in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pakistan province and most parts of Afghanistan. Many translations of the Quran have been written in Pashto, of which there is also a trend of poetic translations. It is an important work in the Pashto language regarding Quranic studies, but it has not been researched yet. Therefore, in this paper, the Pashto poetic Qur'anic translations will be mentioned, in which its introduction and styles and methods will be discussed

    The knowledge of Tafsīr (exegesis) is indeed the result of ‘pondering over its verses’ by some great scholarly men often known as Mufassir. The initial instances of tafsir can be traced back to the glorious era of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) who used to read the verses to his companions and so on the knowledge has reached to our times. In sub-continent there are many scholars who have served in the field of ‘Uloom ul Qur’an. Allama Ghulām Rasool Sa‘eedi stands ahead among those intellectual par excellence who spent their entire life in the propagation of Islamic knowledge and departed this mundane world during the same blessed service. He authored a large number of books, which are comprehensive and far-famed. Exegesis of Ṣaḥiḥ Muslim, Tafsīr Tibyān ul Qur’ān, Ni’mat ul Bārī and Tafsīr Tibyān ul Furqān are the manifest evidence of his encyclopedic knowledge. This article deals with the various prefaces by Allama Saeedi  written for exegesis of the Holy Qur’ān. The primary subject of the article is to highlight the structure, pattern, comprehensiveness and literary significance of these prefaces. Besides, it is also intended to present a model for the new authors. The article also brings forth the distinct feature of writing a preface especially for an exegesis. Hence, where his services in Hadith and Tafsir are remarkable, his associated writings are also worth and a masterpiece of Quranic Exegesis in the contemporary world

    The way Islamic scholars and thinkers have ventured to pen down the various aspects of the life of Holy Prophetﷺ is unprecedented in human history. The biographers have covered every aspect of the life of the Prophet ﷺ; his birth, lactation, upbringing, childhood and boyhood, youth, old age, invitation to accept Islam,  jihad, patience, wars, slaves, agreements, prayers, fasting, zakat and all stages of Hajj have been recorded. The miracles and tidings related to the birth of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ mentioned in previous heavenly books, actually happened before the birth of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.Covering all these topics has been the fundamental duty of the biographers of the past and the present time. Thus, in the article being reviewed, Ibn Kathir briefly described the Holy birth of the Prophet ﷺ and all the related matters, citing diverse and numerous sources and various hadiths and narrations from his own famous book “Al-Badaiya wal Nahayyyah”. An in-depth study of this text makes it clear that after the writing of brief and detailed biographies of the Holy Prophetﷺ, the author has incorporated in this short text all the hadiths, traditions, relics and news that came to his hands about the Holy birth of prophet Muhammadﷺ. In the article under review, Imam Ibn Khatir's expression and style of biography writing as highlighted by the book "The Birth of the Prophet" will be examined. At the same time, the rules and principles will also be pointed out on which the hadiths and traditions of the birth of the Prophet ﷺ have been judged

    Jurisprudential renewal in analyzing the opinions of jurists on accepting the impact of silver currency changes on fixed rulings after happing of changes in it: An analytical jurisprudential study

    In modern era all kinds of monetary changes have occurred in the silver coins. But the jurists did not accept them in the silver coins. As for this paper, it describes the types of monetary changes and then it looks, have these types occurred in silver coins or not? It concludes that all these types of change have occurred in it. Furthermore, the jurists also did not accept the silver coins change’s Impacts on the jurisprudential judgments which were described with it, as they have accepted other currencies changing’s impacts on the jurisprudential judgments which were described with them. Therefore, it searches for the opinions of jurists in accepting the Impact of money changes on the jurisprudential judgments in other currencies like falūs. After the discussion it concludes results from these opinions. Then it applies the same results on silver coins. After studying this paper we will be able to find the happing of changes in silver coins and we will also be able to find the silver coins changing impacts on the jurisprudential matters which were described with it in the past

    Research and critical study of Tafsīr Mīzān ul Qur‘ān by Allāma Rahmatullah Tāriq in the light of lexical methodology of Quranic Exegesis

    The literal interpretation of the Holy Qur ‘ān is the interpretation that is made taking the dictionary into account while interpreting the Holy Qur‘ān. Without a doubt, the dictionary is an essential source of Quranic exegesis. However, the entire interpretation cannot be based only on the dictionary. Acceptable and unacceptable both aspects are found in the lexical interpretations. The satisfactory element is to present Hadiths or signs to support the description. In contrast, the unacceptable pattern of the literal interpretation is the opposite. This article is aimed to evaluate the exegesis 'Meezan ul Qur ‘ān ' by Allāma Rahmatullah Tariq from these two aspects, as he has used the dictionary repeatedly in his commentary. The paper begins with a brief yet comprehensive autobiography of Allāma Rahmatullah Tāriq, followed by an introduction to the Tafsīr Mīzan ul Qur ‘ān. Then, the article details the methodology Allāma Tāriq adopted for the exegesis of the Holy Qur ‘ān. The paper mainly deals with the various words of the Holy Qur ‘ān and their lexical discussion, which begins with the chapter-wise pattern of interpretation and examples from chapters 1 and 2 of the exegesis. The article concludes with a summary of the research and some valuable suggestions from the researchers. The series of literal interpretations started from the time of the Holy Prophetﷺ. And it continued till the present. The research presented in the article is an endeavour to present a review of Urdu commentaries which were affected by this lexical methodology

    The Holy Quran is a comprehensive guidebook which guides human being in every field of life, and presents the solution of his individual and collective problems. Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) took guidance from the Holy Quran to solve many problems of Ummah,  after him the Sahaba, Aaima and a large number of Ulama(Religious Scholars) followed this Sunnah of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). Through ‘Ulama (Religious Scholars) this process reaches Maulana ‘Ubaid Ullah Sindhī who in the supervision of Maulana Mehmood Ul Hasan and in  the light of explanatory principles of Imam Shah Wali Ullah solved the problems of Ummah and compiled the Quranic rules or principles. This thesis has highlighted and discussed the introduction of Mulana ‘Ubaid Ullaha Sindhī and his explanation of Ilhām-Ur-Rahmān and it has investigated the explanations of the Holy Quran in the light of his explanatory principles or rules

    Southern Pashtoon Khwa also known as Balochistan, is one of centers of Pashto literature. Particularly, the then Kakar Khurasan regions which are rich in Pashto folklore. Keeping in view the historical and political background of the region; it had also witnessed British rule till partition of sub-continent. This paper focuses on the resistance against British imperialism in the Southern Pashtoon Khwa which has been reflected in Pashto folklore; specially, in Kakarai Ghari, one of the prominent and well-known genres of the Pashto folklore. This paper discusses the true image and attribution paid to the freedom fighters of Southern Pashtoon Khwa who had continued resistance against the then British invasion

    The people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, former NWFP played a key role in Freedom Movement. They took an active part in all offshoots of Freedom Movement like Handkerchief Movement, Caliphate Movement, Hijrat Movement and Civil Disobedience Movement. Though the province was under the influence of Congress, yet the hearts of the people of this province were beating with Muslim League. The Congress won both the elections of 1937 and 1946, but in the historic referendum of 1947, the people of this province gave their historic verdict in favour of Pakistan and joined Pakistan Constituent Assembly. This article is an endeavour to disclose the possible struggle of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in Freedom Movement from 1930 to the birth of Pakistan in 1947. Therefore, this study focuses on the basic ideas of Islamic renewal used by Zaki Naguib Mahmoud. Through literary studies and semantic analysis of Zaki Naquib Mahmoud's works, language (al-Qur'an and Hadith) was the primary source of Islamic scientific knowledge, religion as an open interpretation and modernity as a complex reality be correlated with a rational and innovative nature

    Prohibition of "Zarar" in Islam: The case of Crypto Currency

    Virtual Currency also known as Crypto Currency has become people's new form of assets in recent times based on network that is distributed across a large number of computers. It is now important to figure out whether it is Sharia compliant or not. Virtual Currency has various characteristics which traditional currency doesn’t have such as its availability only in digital form on computers and mobile phones, hidden identity of buyer and seller during transactions, not issued by any central authority and not controlled by any government or state bank. This decentralized structure of Virtual Currency is completely new and different from other traditional currencies; hence it has to be examined under Islamic Sharia Law. "Zarar" is one of the crimes which are prohibited in Islamic Law. While creating and dealing with Virtual Currency there are huge costs of electricity and mining hardware which is the example of "Zarar" and cannot be ignored. In this article it has been discussed in detail the concept of "Zarar" in Islam and has been explained how majority of people are involved in "Zarar" by dealing in Crypto Currency
