All Praises are for Allah Al-Mighty, we seek guidance from Him and peace be upon the Messenger of Allah, Muhammad peace be upon him, and his family and his companions: This is a rhetorical study of circumlocution in the sayings of the Holy Prophet Peace be upon him, as Hadith is the second source of Islamic legislation. Allah Al-mighty says in the Holy Quran: {وَمَا آتَاكُمُ الرَّسُولُ فَخُذُوهُ وَمَا نَهَاكُمْ عَنْهُ فَانْتَهُوا}.The scholars referred to the circumlocution in different contexts. Some of them referred to it in the chapter of prolixity as a color of its colors. Some of them included it within the types of علم البديع.This article deals with the patterns of the circumlocution in the Prophet's Hadiths, and I have focused on the following points during research: First, meaning of circumlocution. Secondly, the types of circumlocution were mentioned and tried to clarify each type with references to the noble prophetic traditions, with an emphasis on analysis and application on different aspects of circumlocution

    Get PDF
Pakistan has not been able to introduce uniform education system. The country is polarized over methods and goals of education. In the context of language teaching, private English medium schools promote English language while public sector schools rely on Urdu. At the rare extreme are more than 13000 registered madrassas (religious seminaries) where an independent scheme of studies is followed with Arabic at the top as language of religion. The lack of appropriate attention on the part of the government has led to the growth of an independent religious education system that does not teach English language. Thus, the graduates fail to compete in job market that is dominated by English. The current study is a qualitative investigation of English language teaching situation in selected madrassas purposively selected with data generated through 42 in-depth interviews from students and teachers.  The study reveals that madrassas do not have trained teachers and allied facilities for teaching English. The current situation is deplorable and asks for timely State intervention to introduce meaningful reforms with a view to promote English language in madrassas to safeguard the future of about 2 million graduates in the English-dominated job market and to mainstream religious education

Therefore, in this research, I would like to inform the followers of these religions that Let them provide an atmosphere of unity while keeping the differences in this global village.Secondly, I will reveal one thing about the followers of my religion, Islam, that not only the differences in the days of Eid in Islam but also other religions have the same problem. Allah swt created the human being and taught him to speak therefore Allah bestowed the human with the blessing of the tongue to communicate and Allah swt sent messengers in their language in order to understand the message. Allah has not sent any messengers but in their native language so they comprehend (surah Ibrahim verse 4) Allah chose the Arabic language to send the Quran because of its purity and chose the best human in creation to pass the message to His companions, the companions understood most of the Quran but a few unambiguous verses were explained by The prophet (pbuh) and the understanding of the companions is evident for those who came after (the Muslims) and this the doctrine of all Muslims. There after many denominations of groups occurred who’s understanding contradicted that of the companions and sometimes translated to their own convenience but the rightly guided scholars set rules so in order the Quran is not misinterpreted and preserve its true message, the most important rule is that the interpretation of the words must be in sequence otherwise it will be deemed as invalid

    The Concept of Maqāsid al-Shari’ah

    No full text
Reading Islam, from a Sharīʿah (law) perspective, reveals a direct correlation between human interest and objectives of the Sharīʿah (Islamic law) stipulated by Allah (sw). The objective of Islamic law, comprehensively takes into consideration the worldly existence of man as well as the afterlife, both of which are interrelated, to achieve success in both worlds. Therefore, the main objectives of Islamic law are to protect human lives, their intellect, wealth, religion, progeny and dignity and provide all the necessary principles to govern themselves by a justice system, laid out by Divine revelation. On the other hand, ignoring the pursuit of such objectives renders the practice of Islamic law as ineffective. The early Islamic scholars endorsed the examination of the Islamic rules and its principles (Fiqh & Usūl al- Fiqh), with little emphasis on Sharīʿah. As a result of which, they neither explicitly elaborated nor presented the science in their works. Modernity was a turning point in Islamic science, the Muslim intellectuals (ʿUlāmā) adopted various approaches to develop the Islamic legal system attempting to comprehend the performance of the Qur'an and the tradition of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) in the context of new challenges, which resulted in exploring the overall understanding of the objectives of the entire Sharīʿah and its rules. This paper’s research methodology entails presenting a review of the contemporary literature on the pioneers of the theory of Maqᾱsịd al-shari’ah and to suggest a few research directions for future developments. The paper will employ a historical and content analysis method to achieve its objective. The expected outcome of the paper is that it will serve as a base for future studies in Islamic jurisprudence
