This article reflects on the regulatory reforms that have taken place in recent decades with respect to the rational use of drugs, and the measures taken to reduce pharmaceutical expenditure. In this context, the high cost of biological therapies and the difficulties of access to them —especially in developing countries— should be highlighted.
Biosimilar drugs have analogous health guarantees —similar or equivalent— to reference drugs but are not subject to patent protection and facilitate accessibility for patients, as well as the equitable distribution of therapeutic resources. In addition, some of them are included in the list of essential drugs of the World Health Organization (WHO).The role of biosimilar drugs as essential drugs and the possibility of improving equitable access to these health resources through pharmaceutical provision are also examine.
This article explores the implications for bioethics of the common themes between transhumanism and the global governance of human genome editing (HGE). First, the reflexive thematic analysis (RTA) method was applied to a set of texts on transhumanism and a set of texts on the global governance of HGE. As a result of this application of RTA, three common themes emerged and their elements. After that, an example of implication for bioethics of each one of the common themes was developed. Each implication considers the current situation and a task for bioethics. Finally it is concluded that recognising the situation arising from the common themes and working on the three identified tasks is crucial for contemporary bioethics.

The price of agave in Mexican states holding Designation of Origin of Tequila status, and its systematic depreciation over the forthcoming decade (2000-2031)
In the last two decades, the price of agave in states holding Designation of Origin of Tequila (DOT) status has been subject to uncertainty. This mixed sequential investigation identifies the variables that affect its value, verifying the cause of the problem. Using Minitab software, Pearson’s correlation analysis is applied to the most important variables and time-series predictive methods are applied to forecast them. The correlation analysis verified that the production of agave is not correlated with its price, in contrast to the production of tequila, its export and the income from its export. Since 2016, the price and production of agave systematically reduced its annual average growth until reaching negative levels in 2021, contrary to the production, export of tequila and its income (the five variables maintain this trend for the next 10 years). It is shown that the problem of the agave price at the end of the last decade is not due to imbalances in its supply, suggesting that the oligopoly of leading companies of the tequila agroindustry in Mexico controls its value. In the last two decades, the price of agave in states holding Designation of Origin of Tequila (DOT) status has been subject to uncertainty.
The ravages caused by the COVID-19, which include the deterioration of the tourist economy of the countries, the gigantic impulse of remote work, the depopulation of small cities, and the need to boost the regional and local economy promptly, have become the factors that have amplified the need to strengthen the City Brand around the world. This research, which aims to analyze how the Guggenheim Museum has become the spearhead of Bilbao’s soft power strategy, has been developed by combining in-depth interviews with content analysis, allowing us to understand the strategy implemented. For the Biscayan capital. It is concluded that the global strategy to strengthen the Bilbao City Brand has focused on culture, where the Guggenheim Museum is its most fundamental factor.
