Dynamic analysis of a fractional-order rumor spreading model with double time delay under higher-order interactions

    No full text
Although traditional network-based models also explore higher-order interactions, they are limited in capturing the complex impacts of multibody interactions, making it difficult to characterize the reinforcement effect in rumor propagation. With this in mind, firstly, this study introduces the simplicial complexes, a higher-order mathematical tool, to model rumor propagation. Secondly, the fractional-order derivatives are employed to more accurately capture the memory effect and anomalous diffusion phenomenon in the rumor propagation process under higher-order interactions. Then propagation thresholds and the existence of model solutions are investigated. Moreover, the proposed model exhibits bistability, and the Hopf bifurcation is analysed by choosing time delay as the threshold. Numerical simulations suggest that fractional-order rumor spreading models with higher-order interactions are more consistent with actual data than network-based models and integer-order models

Numerical algorithms to solve one inverse problem for Navier–Stokes equations

    No full text
This model describes the Poiseuille type solution in the nonstationary case of the Navier–Stokes problem. An equivalent form of PDE problem is defined as the first-kind Volterra integral equation. The main aim is to analyze a possible ill-posedness of the given problem. For some problems the first-kind Volterra integral equation can be modified to the integral equation of the second kind and the letter equation is well-posed. Different regularization techniques also can be used to control the influence of error pollution with not equal efficiency. Thus we made an extensive analysis and compared classical discretization schemes for PDE and integral Navier–Stokes models and regularization algorithms. The regularization methods are applied to control the influence of the noise in data. The numerical experiment was aimed at obtaining new information about the stability of schemes for the inverse problems. Different approximations methods are used to solve PDE and integral versions of the equation. Results of computational experiments are presented, they confirm the theoretical error analysis and stability estimates

Generalizations of Darbo’s fixed point-theorem and its application to the solvability of a nonlinear fractional differential equation

    No full text
This paper introduces novel fixed-point theorems for generalized Proinov contraction mappings utilizing the measure of noncompactness. These results significantly extend existing contraction principles and provide novel methods for analyzing nonlinear problems. We demonstrate the practical power of our theorems by establishing the existence of solutions to a broad class of nonlinear fractional differential equations with integral boundary conditions. An illustrative example underscores the effectiveness of our approach, promising impactful applications in fractional calculus and nonlinear analysis. Overall, these results enrich the theoretical framework and offer valuable insights for researchers working on complex dynamical systems and applied mathematical models

Boundary value problems for third-order differential equations involving singular Phi-Laplacian operators

    No full text
We study strongly nonlinear, third-order differential equations of type (Φ(k(t)u\u27\u27(t)))\u27 = f(t, u(t), u\u27(t), u\u27\u27(t)), a.e. t ∈ J, where Φ is the singular Φ-Laplacian operator. That is, Φ : (–r, r) -> R, r > 0, is a generic strictly increasing homeomorphism with bounded domain, which generalizes the relativistic operator Φ(u) := u (r2 – u2)–1/2. Moreover, k is a nonnegative continuous function, which can vanish on a set of zero measure, so such equations can be singular, and f is a general Carathédory function. For these equations, we investigate boundary value problems both in compact intervals (when J = [a; b]) and in a half-line (with J = [a;+∞)), and we prove existence results under mild assumptions. Our approach is based on fixed point techniques

On the h-manifolds for impulsive conformable neural networks with reaction–diffusion terms: Practical stability analysis

    No full text
In this paper, we consider a new class of conformable impulsive reaction–diffusion neural networks. The stable behavior of h-manifolds with respect to the model is investigated, and sufficient conditions are proposed by constructing suitable Lyapunov-like functions. Our results are new and contribute to the development of the theory of impulsive conformable models. Examples are also presented to illustrate the proposed criteria

Indigeneity of Neoliberalism in Mongolia’s Nation Building

    No full text
In brief, this paper shows the different consequences being contested in the process of nation building in Mongolia. Among the different consequences, I focus on what is called the liberal economy and market, which represent neoliberalism in Mongolia. I contextualize this through an analysis of the reconstruction of history and the continuity of the Mongolian legal system. These are the main contesting features that have consequences in Mongolian nation-building. In the contest, the historical reconstruction and the legal continuity are widely acknowledged and promoted by the public, and they remain the main force to justify the bills and political decisions to limit and tame some principles of neoliberalism. I argue that restricting and taming neoliberalism is a process to indigenize forms of neoliberalism employed in Mongolia’s nation-building project

Social advertising’s orientation towards solving social problems demonstrates the exeptional importance of consumers engagement. One of dimension of consumers engagement, emotional engagement, reveals the relevence of research on consumers’s emotion ant the emnphatic responce, evoked by advertising. The relevance of this research is also supported by observation of researchers that social advertisements are characterised by an abundance of emotional appeals. The aim of the present study is to investigate the emotions and emphatic response evoked in consumers of social advertisemens of Lithuanian Red Cross, as well as the impact on the emotional engagement of these consumers in social advertisement of different emotional valence. The study evaluated the emotional valence of the selected social advertisings apeals ,,Overiew“ software, wich using artificial intelligence algorithms for facial and voice emotion recognition. During the experiment, these advertisements were shown to research participants, whose emotion durring the processing of these advertisenment were identified by ,,Overview“. During the experiment, the participants were interviewed to determine the emotion, they perceived thenselves to be experiencing and to determine their emphatic response and emotional engagement. The study showed, that emotionally valet appels in social advertising evoke consumers emotions. The creativity of the advertisement may have an importance on the consumers’ emotions. The most intense emotion experienced by the participants of research, according to ,,Overview”, was sadness. However, while emotional appeals with different valence in social advertising elicit an emphatic consumers response, neutral appeals do not. The study shows a trend, that emphatic response is directly related to consumeras’ emotional engagement with social advertisement

The rapidly changing global security environment necessitates a reassessment of the concept of total defense, in which, the society plays a key role alongside the Lithuanian Armed Forces and allied forces in collective defense. Many modern threats to state security, such as information warfare, target the public’s will to resist. As a response, civil resistance has emerged as a critical tool to address these challenges. Its essential components include resilience, civic will, and knowledge with practical skills. Recognizing the growing importance of civil resistance, the Republic of Lithuania’s Strategy for Preparing Citizens for Civil Resistance was approved in September 2023. Coordinated by the Ministry of National Defense, this strategy aims to equip the public with the necessary information and tools to foster societal readiness. Lithuania’s historical examples of successful civil resistance serve as valuable references for shaping communication strategies to engage the public. In the field of security studies, civil resistance is a prominent research topic, analyzed as a vital element of the security policy. A key issue arises how the Ministry of National Defense, as the primary coordinator of civil resistance efforts, leverages the advertising campaign strategies to effectively implement the strategy’s goals and how it engages society in collective defense.

In the context of ongoing military conflicts in Europe and globally, the question of Europe’s identity has assumed heightened relevance. The idea of Europe has undergone significant transformations, in terms of its geographical and ethnic boundaries. These transformations have also affected the way in which Europe is thought about. From the second half of the 20th century onwards, the subject has been superseded by the search for (an) identity, thus the concept of Europe as an idea ceased to be a subject of interest. It is currently a political and economic entity attempting to navigate the numerous identities that exist within it. This paper analyses how the ideas of the 20th century, which emerged in the search for a solution to the European identity crisis that hit the continent after the First World War, are reflected in the European discourse of the 21st century. To this end, the paper examines the emergence and evolution of the Pan-European project into political entities. It also explores the ways of resolving the crisis of the European identity from religious and sociological perspectives, and proposes a new perspective on the future of Europe. In the context of ongoing military conflicts in Europe and globally, the question of Europe’s identity has assumed heightened relevance. Integration of Image Decomposition Methods and CNN for Image Classification

    No full text
This study explores integrating Haar wavelet decomposition techniques with convolutional neural networks for image classification on the MNIST dataset. The research demonstrates that without losing significant accuracy by applying the 1-level, 2-level, and 3-level decomposition techniques, the model can reduce the dimensionality and the number of parameters required by the convolutional neural network model. During the training, the 1-level Haar CNN results achieved optimal performance, demonstrating competitive accuracy and computational efficiency compared to the baseline CNN model. This approach highlights the potential of wavelet decomposition techniques to enhance CNN performance with limited computational resources
