Retrodirective Harmonic Tag Using Van-Atta Array
Get PDFIn this paper, the concept of retrodirective harmonic tag using the Van-Atta array is proposed. Its effectiveness is evaluated through experiments using a 2-element patch antenna for each subset-antenna, where the 2nd harmonics was used for the uplink channel. The experiments are conducted in 2.5GHz and 5.0 GHz for a basic consideration. It is shown that the coverage range was 3-times broaden by using the proposed retrodirective harmonic tag in comparison with the one without the retrodirective function.
