An analogue of Ogus’s theorem for certain hypergeometric curves
For a family whose Picard–Fuchs equation is given by a certain hypergeometric differential equation, we express the Frobenius action on the de Rham cohomology as products of p-adic gamma values. Such an expression is known in specific cases, namely Fermat curves and CM elliptic curves, but remains unknown in general. The main result of this paper provides new examples. The idea of the proof is to reduce the statement to the case of CM elliptic curves by using a transformation formula for hypergeometric functions

Points to consider in experimental guidance for the 6th grade elementary school unit "Use of Electricity"
Lookism and Lacan—From Division (Adolescence) to Reunification (The Substance)
In this paper I try to demonstrate the vicissitudes of the signified and its similar concepts like the image, the imaginary, the type, the ideal ego, énoncé, etc., under the psycho-linguistic supremacy of the signifier like the symbolic, the individual, the ego ideal, énonciation, etc., and to show, with the assistance of Jacques Lacan and Christian Fierenz, that the signified and the signifier, though mutually exclusive, are not distinct from each other, but are rather connected in a loop (or what Lacan calls the “Internal Eight”). Their relationship thus conceptualized finds their corresponding psychic energies in drive and desire, which are located in the top and the bottom of Lacan’s Graph of Desire, but which are also reconceptualized as the ideal ego and the ego ideal in his “Optical Diagram.” The signified turning out to be the signifier and vice versa have become a major narrative motif in the recent media culture, and I examine the Netflix crime drama series Adolescence (2025) and the horror movie The Substance (2024). In both works, the signified (incel and manosphere in the former, lookism and ageism in the latter) turns against itself turns into an isolated signifier, i.e., a signifier that represents nothing but itself and contradicts its own definition as one in a chain of signifiers (the thirteen-year-old incel protagonist kills a classmate and isolates himself as a “murderer,” the aging celebrity reproduces her younger version, but the two of her cannot live together, and results in their mutual destruction, thus annulling the beauty and youth all at once.

Synergistic Functional Spectrum Analysis: A Framework for Exploring the Multifunctional Interplay Among Multimodal Nonverbal Behaviours in Conversations
A novel framework named the synergistic functional spectrum analysis (sFSA) is proposed to explore the multifunctional interplay among multimodal nonverbal behaviours in human conversations. This study aims to reveal how multimodal nonverbal behaviours cooperatively perform communicative functions in conversations. To capture the intrinsic nature of nonverbal expressions, functional multiplicity, and interpretational ambiguity, e.g., a single head nod could imply listening, agreeing, or both, a novel concept named the functional spectrum, which is defined as the distribution of perceptual intensities of multiple functions by multiple observers, is introduced in the sFSA. Based on this concept, this paper presents functional spectrum corpora, which target 44 facial expression and 32 head movement functions. Then, spectrum decomposition is conducted to reduce the multimodal functional spectrum to a synergetic functional spectrum in a lower dimension functional space that is spanned by functional basis vectors representing primary and distinctive functionalities across multiple modalities. To that end, we propose a semiorthogonal nonnegative matrix factorization (SO-NMF) method, which assumes the additivity of multiple functions and aims to balance the distinctiveness and expressiveness of the factorization. The results confirm that some primary functional bases can be identified, which can be interpreted as the listener’s backchannel, thinking, and affirmative response functions, and the speaker’s thinking and addressing functions, and their positive emotion functions. In addition, regression models based on convolutional neural networks (CNNs) are presented to estimate the synergistic functional spectrum from the head poses and facial action units measured from conversation data. The results of these analyses and experiments confirm the potential of the sFSA and may lead to future extensions
Silica-Immobilized Pd–Amine Catalysts for Suzuki–Miyaura Coupling with Catalytic Amounts of Base
Suzuki–Miyaura coupling is a robust method for constructing C-C bonds. Typically, stoichiometric amounts of base are required. However, high pH conditions can lead to the protodeboronation of several substrates and generate stoi-chiometric waste salt from the additive base. Here, we present a Pd-amine co-immobilized catalyst enabling SMC with a cat-alytic amount of base; the amount of cross-coupling product was 18-times higher than that of co-immobilized amines. Further, the use of a co-immobilized amine with a hydrophobic alkyl chain and water-based solvent effectively removed acid byprod-ucts from the Pd active species on the support surface, resulting in a high coupling product yield. The immobilized catalyst was characterized by elemental analysis, solid-state NMR, and X-ray absorption fine structure spectroscopy. Additionally, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, powder X-ray diffractometry, and transmission electron microscopy measurements revealed the in situ formation of Pd nanoparticles as the active species. Crucially, this system facilitates reactions even in the presence of aryl halides with acidic substituents
