Représentations de la mobilité dans le récit de soi contemporain au Canada francophone
Il existe une relation de complémentarité entre la mobilité culturelle (W. Moser) et la mobilité poétique au sens de la naissance d’un « esprit migrateur », selon Pierre Ouellet. Les deux notions s’appliquent principalement aux contextes de déplacements, de migrations, d’exils et de métamorphoses. En même temps, la notion de mobilité s’inscrit dans le cadre des nouvelles configurations du récit de soi : le récit de la mobilité a pour fonction de cerner de quelle manière un sujet est en mesure de circonscrire une identité propre dans l’espace. En témoigne l’apparition, depuis une vingtaine d’années, de récits de soi littéraires qui mettent l’accent sur le déplacement, et où interviennent des figures de l’hybridité culturelle. À partir de La Ballade d’Ali Baba de l’écrivaine québécoise Catherine Mavrikakis, en dialogue avec L’Énigme du retour de Dany Laferrière, cet article explore la poétique de la mobilité au niveau de la thématique et du discours narratif. GPU-Accelerated Algorithm to Compute Bessel-Fourier Moments
Bessel-Fourier moments have been applied in image pattern reconstruction since their introduction in 2010. In this research, a scalable GPU-based algorithm is proposed to accelerate the computation of Bessel-Fourier moments of high orders while preserving accuracy. To analyze our new algorithm, image reconstructions from Bessel-Fourier moments of orders up to 1000 were tested on two systems. The experimental results prove the correctness and scalability of the algorithm. In addition, by investigating the precision-related performance, both 64-bit and 32-bit precisions were shown to provide the same level of computational accuracy for Bessel-Fourier moments of orders up to 1000. Nevertheless, reconstructions with 64-bit precision are computationally more costly. Furthermore, we applied filtering in Bessel-Fourier moments and Fourier Frequency domains and found that Bessel-Fourier moments share some similarities with the frequencies in Fourier Frequency domain, though more image power is distributed in the Bessel-Fourier moments of lower orders.Master of Science in Applied Computer Scienc

The purpose of this review is to summarise past Inuit health and wellness studies in Manitoba and the
Kivalliq region of Nunavut to provide a snapshot of the types of studies available and identify the
gaps in knowledge. Research to date has largely been disease-based and often provides comparisons
between Indigenous and non-Indigenous people. Distinct Inuit experiences are rarely written about
from an Inuit perspective. Anishinaabekwewag Teachings of Self-Determination
Since being excluded from decolonization efforts in the mid-twentieth century on the grounds that they were not colonized peoples but minorities living within sovereign states, Indigenous peoples have called for a broader understanding of self-determination. The Indigenous self-determination debate has become characterized by a spurious dichotomy between its collective and individual aspects, with the argument from leaders often being grounded in trickle-down logic that collective self-determination is a prerequisite for individual, so the former must be addressed first. As a result of such arguments and the heteropatriarchal ideologies implemented through the Indian Act, Anishinaabekwewag have been largely excluded from self-determination discourse. However, in order for self-determination to be realized in a meaningful way, a more holistic and inclusive understanding is necessary. Anishinaabekwewag occupy a unique space from which to contribute to the development of such an understanding. In this thesis I will explore and apply a framework informed by ikweism, a concept derived from Anishinaabekwe thought and conceptualizations within the context of Anishinaabe cosmologies, ontologies, epistemologies, and axiologies regarding the strength of femininity and its inherent connections with ideas regarding Anishinaabe sovereignty and self-determination. In doing so, I will demonstrate that Anishinaabe philosophies have long worked to empower Anishinaabekwewag and provide a strong foundation on which Anishinaabe self-determination discourse can find meaning going forward.Master of Arts in Indigenous Governanc
