換気カプセル式デジタル発汗計を用いた定位反応の検討 : 刺激の反復提示による馴化とその回復について
It was examined whether orienting response (OR) might be indexed by sweating response and dilation of pupil response. A simple habituation-dishabituation paradigm was employed that the 1,000 Hz of pure tone was presented ten times and then it was replace the 1,500 Hz pure tone at the 11th trial. The magnitude of sweating response decreased in response to the stimulus iteration, although this tendency was remained marginal. The recovery of the sweating response was not significant. The dilation of pupil response also decreased as repeated stimulation, but this decrement was not significant. The recovery of the dilation seemed to appear, but this tendency was also insignificant. The sweating response might be regarded as an index of the OR. It is difficult to conclude that the dilation of pupil response may or may not be considered as an index of OR, because of divergent individual differences of the response. 北信地域の千曲川本支流および野々海池における魚類捕獲記録
Fish fauna in northern Nagano Prefecture was surveyed by netting and electrofishing during July to October 2019. Ten fish species including recently recognized species( Pseudogobio polystictus & Silurus tomodaini) from the main Chikuma stream, five fish species from the tributaries, and three fish species from the Nonomi reservoir were recorded in the present study. Chapter 5. Various Capital Linkages in Inclusive Wealth [English translation]
This chapter put forward an outline of inclusive wealth (IW) and carried out its analysis mainly in terms of Japan based on the estimated values of the three facets of IW capital: produced capital (PC), human capital (HC), and natural capital (NC). As an analysis of its contents, there are three indexes of IW, which are the total amount, the per-capita index, and productivity (i.e., value added divided by IW). As for the specific contents, it verified a comparison between 1990 and 2014 for the whole world (Section 3), for the IW of Japan (Section 3), a comparison between Japan and G7 (Section 4), a look at the IW by prefecture (Section 5), and the relevance of IW to measuring the damage due to the Nankai Trough earthquake (NTE) (Section 6).Book chapterYagi Michiyuki, Managi Shunsuke. Effect of the degree of acetylation on the physicochemical properties of α-chitin nanofibers
Available online 27 March 2020.The effective utilization of abundant α-chitin resources for materials engineering applications requires methods for controlling the physicochemical properties of α-chitin nanofiber (NF) dispersions. Herein, the relationship between the degree of acetylation (DA) of α-chitin and the physicochemical properties of α-chitin nanofibers (α-ChNFs) was investigated. α-Chitin with different DAs was prepared by varying the deacetylation treatment time. These α-chitin samples were disintegrated into NFs using wet pulverization. The average width of the α-ChNFs decreased with decreasing DA. Furthermore, the transmittance and viscosity of the α-ChNF dispersions increased with decreasing DA. We successfully developed a simple model for estimating the average width of α-ChNFs with different DAs. Recent Naturalization of Tragopogon species (Asteraceae) In Kami-ina Region of Nagano Prefecture
近年,長野県上伊那地方では,バラモンギク属植物(キク科)の帰化が急速に目立つようになった。そこで本研究では,バラモンギク属植物が帰化・定着したとみられる上伊那地方4 地点(辰野,箕輪,南箕輪,伊那)において植生調査を行い,種の同定を行うとともに,開花・結実の状況や群落の種組成の把握を試みた。その結果,4 地点で確認されたのは,フトエバラモンギク(Tragopogon dubius)1種のみであった。いずれの地点でも開花・結実が認められ,細い根出葉を叢生する越冬期の草型も確認された。生育地は開けた裸地(路傍)や緑化された斜面に発達した草本群落(土手や河川堤防)であった。出現種数に占める帰化植物種数の割合は42~68%と高く,最も早期に帰化の見られた地点(辰野)から離れるほどこの割合は高くなる傾向にあった。起源地は不明ながら,本種の種子は大きな冠毛を有するため,風による種子散布で侵入してきたものと推測される。Article環境科学年報 41:7-13(2019)journal articl
Physiological and Pathological Mitochondrial Clearance Is Related to Pectoralis Major Muscle Pathogenesis in Broilers With Wooden Breast Syndrome
Wooden breast syndrome (WB) constitutes an emerging myopathy in the pectoralis major muscle (PM) of broiler chickens, characterized by myofiber hypertrophy and degeneration along with severe fibrosis. WB pathogenesis has been considered to involve hypoxia induced by rapid growth of the PM. In this study, we focused on mitochondrial morphology and dynamics in the myofibers, as these organelles are sensitive to damage by hypoxia, and examined the effects on WB pathogenesis. Specifically, the PMs of a flock of 35 broilers at 50 days of age were evaluated. First, the severity of disease in each bird was determined by measuring histopathological indices including the fibrotic area (FA) in the muscle and circularity of myofibers (CM). These values were 29.4 ± 9.6% and 0.70 ± 0.042, respectively, showing variety among the flock. Myofiber vacuolization was observed in all birds including numerous small- or large-rimmed vacuoles, with the former consisting of ultrastructurally autophagosome-like vacuoles engulfing degenerated mitochondria. The large-rimmed vacuoles frequently occurred in the PMs with more severe FA and CM, indicating a relationship between altered autophagy/mitophagy and WB severity. Next, the expression levels of hypoxia-adaptive and mitochondrial dynamics-related genes were analyzed, and their correlations with the histopathological indices were examined. The histopathological indices were negatively correlated with the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor A (VEGFA), indicating that less angiogenesis owing to weakened hypoxia-inducible factor signaling induces more severe WB pathology. In addition, the observed negative correlation with mitochondrial dynamics-related genes implied that WB pathology deteriorates concomitant with reduced mitochondrial dynamics. Furthermore, the expression of mitochondrial dynamics-related genes showed strong positive correlation with that of VEGFA and autophagy-/mitophagy-related genes. These results revealed that the PMs of broilers possess the mechanism of physiological clearance of mitochondria damaged by the hypoxia resulting from the continuous mitochondrial dynamics and autophagy/mitophagy accompanying rapid PM growth. In turn, the altered mitochondrial clearance induced by chronic hypoxia and the accumulation of damaged mitochondria likely underly the severe pathological features of WB.ArticleFrontiers in Pharmacology.11:579(2020)journal articl
