Over 60 students from Bachelor’s and Master’s programs participated in the competition for the best essay, organized by the Final Scientific and Practical Conference, dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the creation of the fi rst programs in Business Administration in Bulgaria. Foreign students from Greece, Syria, Ukraine and Russia also showed interest in the competition

Specifics of modeling and simulation of the risk on the communication and ensure systems

    Get PDF
The aim of the proposed work is to study the characteristics of modeling and simulation of risk on the ensure systems, as specific communication systems. On the ensure systems case of interest is Probabilistic Risk Assessment (PRA). The assessment focuses on predicting the probability of failures that can lead to injury and / or loss of life and / or severe damage to the system and / or environmental damage. The result of PRA modeling is to determine the probability for a particular result, but with severe consequences, and to identify those events or components, which will most likely lead to this result. Risk assessment models are typically use to assess system safety and to decide on resource management to prevent accidents. Results of analyzes performed using analytical models, as well as simulation modeling of risk on ensure systems, under various specific initial conditions, are presented. Based on these results, the peculiarities (advantages and disadvantages), as well as the perspectives of the analytical and simulation modeling, can be seen. Based on the examined examples are illustrated the actual results, related to the principles and peculiarities of the analytical and simulation modeling in the field of the risk assessment in the ensure systems according to the sampling survey

Methods and means for agent-based visualization of digitized data

    Get PDF
The research aims to present the possibility to visualize the processes simulated by agent-based modelling method, contributing to a better understanding the methods of digital transformations of physical objects and the means for visualization of digitized data. The theoretical framework is supported by examples related to practical realization of agent-based visualization in the simulation environment NetLogo or a cloud platform. The individual stages in the process of working with a personal online GIS-assistant Land Viewer for performing built-in analysis of satellite images, with data clustering capabilities, are described in detail. The scientific and applied contribution of the research is expressed in the analysis of the possibilities for creating an agent-based visualization to a suitable simulation model, selected by the library of the simulation software

Application of approaches to artificial intelligence and machine training in cyber security

    Get PDF
Of interest is how machine learning is used in cybersecurity for both security and criminal activities, incl. and for cyberattacks targeting machine-learning models. The aim of the development is to show how machine learning, can be applied in the context of security in terms of both protection and attack, as well as the potential threats posed to machine learning models. Results were obtained using analytical descriptive methodology based on literature sources, examining the use of artificial intelligence techniques and machine learning to increase cybersecurity, as well as the most important areas of application that improve cybersecurity. On the other hand, the features and applications of artificial intelligence and machine learning in the service of cybercriminals are considered. Regarding the contribution part, an in-depth and extensive analysis of the features and applications of artificial intelligence and machine learning from two points of view (cybersecurity and cybercrime) has been made

Actor, movement, space in Oskar Schlemmer‘s theatrical concept

    Get PDF
The Theatre Concept of Bauhaus continued the main ideas of its founders. It found its shape in Oskar Schlemmer‘s ideas of triadic ballet, demonstrated in various theatrical experiments, which he directed as a leader of the theatre section of Bauhaus. His interest in the canons of movement led him to the concept of Design-in-Motion. The correlation, the color-sound movement of the actor in space is crucial to the comprehension of the overall impact on the senses of the spectator. It determines the concept of anti-mimetic theatre, which is inspired by dance and acrobatics. This theatre of the senses and ideas is based on the picture rather than the drama. It seeks for a holistic impact and metaphysical suggestions on the base of music, mechanics and mathematics. It renounces the drama, its linear narrative and the imitation. The analysis of the Bauhaus Theatre through the concepts of Oskar Schlemmer, shows their impact on contemporary dance, on Bob Wilson‘s theatre and performance

Theatrical practices and play models in working with children and youth in multicultural communities

Thе article presents the experience, methodology and results achieved by the „Artists for Children and Youth†program, existing for fourteen years between 2003 and 2017, comprising multicultural teams of 300 young artists from Europe, and 5000 children and youth from Bulgaria, Kenya and Tanzania. One innovative model for working with underprivileged children and youth through the means of the performing arts that emphasizes on the values in the arts and theatrical approaches as a bridge for communication, integration and fostering interpersonal and interethnic tolerance. The presented methodology combines five creative workshops: dance, music, puppet theater, mask theater in the system of the French pedagogue Lecoq, visual arts, and two training workshops in martial arts and yoga. The program content part offers a revival of oral traditions, a return to the forgotten ability of storytelling, handles and classifies tales from different cultures, provokes and develops the imagination. The practical experience presented adds valuable information to the potential that the theatre art brings to indirect learning and integration of the emotional experience of the individual

GIS research project on karst in Bulgaria

    Get PDF
This paper is focusing on the development of geographic information system (GIS) which aim is to facilitate the study of anthropogenic influence on karst systems in Bulgaria by analysing characteristic model areas. Five model areas are selected representing different types of karst systems in the context of the political, socio-economic, and global changes. This study is part of the project „Current impacts of global changes on evolution of karst (based on the i ntegrated monitoring of model karst geosystems in Bulgaria)â€, Science Research Fund
