Comparative analysis of results of traffic modelling in simulation environments
Get PDFIn the paper are presented the possibilities of various simulation products for agent-based modelling of complex processes related to traffic management in urban environments. The theoretical framework contains a description of a basic algorithm for traffic management at an intersection in order to better understand the experimental part in which is explained which input parameters are key for conducting an effective simulation study for the needs of the urban transport infrastructure. The selection of simulation environments is based on specific characteristics after evaluation by a number of basic criteria. The scientific and applied contribution of the research is expressed in a comparative analysis of the generated simulation results in the relevant software products, through which the author aims to prove their reliability and applicability

The infinitive subjunctive with obscure reference in modern Italian through the eyes of native speakers
No full textThe paper uses the perspective of native speakers to present an aspect of the topic of the infinitive subjunctive in modern Italian that cannot be extracted through sentence grammar. The study is based on a corpus extracted from the pages of three novels – contemporary Italian fiction – and on a questionnaire distributed to twenty native speakers. Through a linguistic analysis of the informants’ responses to the questionnaire created for this purpose, their point of view is interpreted with regard to the phenomenon under study. The main aim of the study is to get at the strategies that native speakers use in interpreting linguistic facts, and to try to answer the question why the violation of syntactic norms does not interfere with the comprehension of the text

No full textSince 2006, the Hampsong Foundation has been working closely with the music festival Heidelberger Frühling, an annual co-production of master classes for young opera singers. In the last three years (2017-2019) they were lead by the baritone Thomas Hampson himself and were streamed through Facebook Live. Based on this video material (almost 60 hours) observations were made on Hampson’s methods of teaching and this article resumes important discussions about the Lied-genre in social and cultural aspect, Hampson’s vision about the art song as a metaphor of Human Being (Dasein), his approach to achieve better posture, breath, sound and diction of the participants. All these components aim to achieve better clarity and understanding of the poetic text, set into musical composition; they help the singers in finding their own way of interpretation

The authors discuss the use of complex geophysical methodsin archaeology depending on the objectives of archaeological research, on the one hand, and thelikely properties of the archaeological sites, on the other. As known, the methods of appliedgeophysics involve reverse geophysical problems, which do not have definitive solutions. Toovercome potential ambiguities in this regard, the study demonstrates how the complementary useof different methods makes the interpretation of the final results easier
