Transition from asymmetric to symmetric regulation of competition in the electronic communications sector in Bulgaria
Get PDFIn the electronic communications sector, the regulation of undertakings with significant market power is described as "asymmetric regulation" to indicate that obligations are imposed only on companies with leading position. The asymmetric regulation is subject to periodic review with a view to its complete abolition and replacement by the application of competition law. "Symmetric regulation" applies to all undertakings, regardless of their market position, and includes obligations to interconnect their networks, provide access to network elements, physical infrastructure, numbers, services and databases. From 2021, symmetric regulation is going to be the main method for ensuring and protecting competition in electronic communications markets in Bulgaria

The effect of implementing CLIL on subject learning in the context of business English
Get PDFThis paper aims to outline the effect of implementing Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) approach in teaching Business English through task-based practice. This includes gap-filling exercises, words in context activities, reading comprehension of ESP texts, translation of specialized terms, and oral presentation rubric. Students were divided into a CLIL and a Non-CLIL group. The aim was to assess students’ speaking skills in terms of acquisition of subject-specific profession-related terms depending on the used approach. The obtained qualitative data revealed higher progress of the students in the CLIL group. The results support the importance of CLIL methodology as a relatively new and more effective approach for an overall improvement of language skills and more specifically for the development of communicative competence in terms of teaching Business English terminology and ESP as an important part of preparation for problem solving in real-life situations enhancing future career opportunities

Get PDFChildren Choir „Bodra Smyana“ under the direction of Boncho Bochev in the period from the 1940s to the 1970s became a choir with unparalleled artistic accomplishments. The conductor built a refined mechanism for admission of choristers that reflected his vision of choral quality. This report looks at the qualities and skills of the candidates and the way of their improvement during the rehearsal process. Because of the great interest, „Bodra Smyanaâ€â€˜s admission occurred after two, and sometimes more, auditions, in which the necessary number of choristers was selected. The requirements were many, but they were not too difficult for the children. The skills that the exam questionnaire was designed to assess were grouped into three equally important categories: musical abilities, vocal qualities, and performance emotionality. Memoirs of Ingmar Bergman – the other face of genius
Get PDFThe modernist art of the twentieth century, reflected by the director and creator Ingmar Bergmann, does not stop at all within his theatrical and film productions. Like his stage work, the brightness of the artist is also reflected in the memoirs, books, essays and all his artistic work. Unlike many directors who write their own scripts, Bergman‘s own unique notes of such details as the exact number of elements in the frame, precise camera angles, and so on. On the other hand, they also contain many short descriptions of the feelings and inner states of the characters. Thus, everything he writes in the form of notes can also be regarded as literature in itself. The life and creativity of Ingmar Bergman is very relevant today, regardless of the relationship we explore – such as theater, director, film producer, writer. He himself has defined himself as a „pedagogue-artistâ€, both in plays and cinema, and in his books, he skillfully avoids improvisations and presents to the world a different face and talent. This report is one stage of a larger study, and the presentation of Ingmar Bergman‘s work in the context of his memoirs is a very important part of his work. The retrospective of his life path in his texts and books, as well as Bergman‘s memoirs, is as dramatic as his theatrical and film productions

No full textMedia in Eastern Europe has been in the spotlight since the radical changes of the 1990’s. Although all countries in the region started the democratization process at the same time, some are in better position than others. In the paper we will try to add analysis of new data and to rethink how media systems in Eastern Europe can be viewed through the Hallin and Mancini’s conceptual framework which consists of four dimensions – political parallelism, journalistic professionalism, media market and the role of the state. The final goal is to see where in the three models of media and politics we could position the media of Eastern Europe
