No full textIvan Peev Plachkov is one of the first professional journalists in Bulgaria and during his four-decades long career is among the best and most prominent names in Bulgarian journalism. He is the founder, director, editor, and contributor of close to 20 periodic publications. In spite of these achievements and contributions to Bulgarian journalism, his name has been largely forgotten. This study aims to trace, analyze, and evaluate the entire journalistic work of Ivan Peev Plachkov and to illuminate his role in the development of Bulgarian print publications. Approach for analysis and modeling of reliability of network connectivity from the perspective of efficiency and its applicability
Get PDFReliability analysis and assessment methods can be used at any stage of system or component design, including development, operation, and maintenance. Fault Tree-based models and reliability block diagram RBD (qualitative and quantitative) are typically used to provide reliability and readiness assessments for both the early and later stages of design, where system models are more -improved and have more detailed specifications compared to the models of the early stage of the system. On the other hand, models based on the Markov Chain are mainly used in the later design phase. The aim of the work is to define ways to use methods for modeling reliability, with a subsequent goal for analysis taking into account the effectiveness. An approach for modeling the end-to-end network connectivity with different reservations of the connection lines is considered. The results are illustrated by graphical ratios at different influencing parameters, for different reservation methods. A comparative analysis was made using different reservation methods. The practical applicability of the proposed approach and the performed analysis, incl. for training purposes
Do football hooligans have human rights?
No full textHuman rights are the “last utopia†of our time that achieved contemporary prominence on the ruins of the last political utopias of twentieth century. All the international projects after World War 2 aspire to achieve a just balance between the basic individual rights and public interest. The human rights protection mechanisms introduce exceptions and qualifications to most of the human rights to allow for their restrictions proportional to the legitimate aims of the states. This article explores the human rights of the football hooligans starting with an analysis clarifying the historical, cultural and sociological aspects of the term “football hooliganâ€. Afterwards a detailed review of the case law of the European court of human rights is offered to reveal the status of the so called football hooligans as people whose basic rights could be restricted by the states upon wide discretion of the national authorities

No full textThe paper addresses some ethical issues that prevent a number of research articles received by the English Studies at NBU editorial office of the Department of Foreign Languages and Cultures from passing initial editorial approval and from going on to the actual peer review stage. These problems include a large number of authors and false authorship, and plagiarism and self-plagiarism, including translation. These signs alert editors to possible ethical violations. The article will be useful for both young science editors and young researchers
Conceptual design of a model for the creation and development of youth symphony orchestras in Bulgaria
Get PDFNumerous studies have shown that orchestral activities are extremely beneficial for the academic, cognitive, social and emotional growth of young people. The idea that these activities can revitalize, expand and enrich the musical education in Bulgaria and contribute to the social inclusion and integration of young people at risk inspired me to explore the practices and models of youth orchestras in Venezuela, England and USA. After analyzing the collected information on the experience of UK’s National Plan For Music Education and the elements of the Venezuelan El Sistema, I hereby proposed a Model for the Development and Growth of Youth Symphony Orchestras in Bulgaria, which is practical and can be efficiently implemented. The recent Pre-school and School Education Act of 2016 provides opportunities for this Model to be implemented in Bulgarian schools, allowing students to receive comprehensive musical education by introducing group training on musical instruments, ensembles and orchestras
