Testing readiness of adoption of blockchain technology in tracking the authenticity of organic coffee
This study aims to analyze the readiness for adopting blockchain technology in
tracking the authenticity of organic coffee to provide added value to consumers and producers of coffee considering technological advances in the Supply Chain. This study combines the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) and the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). An online questionnaire with eligible respondents is used to collect data which is then processed using Smart PLS 4.0 software. The data analysis method used is quantitative. The findings indicate that every explanatory variable has a positive impact on
the dependent variable, suggesting that consumer adoption of blockchain technology depends on simplicity, advantage, and positive attitude toward technology use
Examining The Antecedents Of The Adoption Of Ai Technology Among Prospective Healthcare Workers
Significant research has showcased the potential of artificial intelligence in healthcare and expanding its role in nursing education. For the technology to be implemented and sustainable, it needs to be used and willingly accepted. Prospective healthcare workers form their attitudes about certain technologies during schooling. The main goal of this paper is to examine the antecedents of the adoption of AI technology among prospective healthcare workers. When presenting technology to students, it is assumed that AI-based systems or applications have been tested and have security certifications. An integrated adoption model utilizes core dimensions of the UTAUT and TAM extended with trust and perceived substitution crisis. The model is planned to be evaluated. The results of this research will give insight into the readiness of students to accept AI technology and help teachers present emerging technologies in the right way to prospective healthcare workers through modern curricula
Blockchain Adoption in Supply Chain in Industry 4.0
In recent years, companies have been adopting new cutting-edge technologies into their
supply chains. This paper aims to examine the possibilities and ways of adopting blockchain
technology within the supply chain processes. The research methods include desk analysis,
comparative analysis of literature and analysis of relevant case studies. The results reveal different
ways in which blockchain can be utilized within supply chains and how the adoption of blockchain
improves the performances of supply chains. Examples of supply chains from different
industries that use blockchain are also given
The impact of emotional intelligence on students with extracurricular activities and regular students
This paper explores the relationship between extracurricular activities among students and the impact on their emotional intelligence. It starts from the assumption that students engaged in extracurricular activities also develop motivation, social skills, and empathy, while regular students may lack or possess these competencies to a lesser extent. The methodology used in the study involves a questionnaire consisting of general questions such as gender, year of study, employment status, and a set of questions assessing emotional intelligence, including self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy, and social skills. The hypothesis posited is that students participating in extracurricular activities during their studies, especially those involving project management, develop comprehensive competencies related to social skills, empathy, and motivation, thereby leading to enhanced emotional intelligence. Analyzing the responses collected from 84 students in the statistical program JASP, it was observed that these competencies are more pronounced and prevalent in the first group of students engaged in extracurricular activities, compared to regular students. The expected contribution of this research is to motivate students to engage in extracurricular activities during their studies, thereby enhancing their emotional intelligence competencies. The findings could be beneficial to human resource managers and youth recruitment and development departments. Furthermore, this paper serves as a foundation for further research in the development of the field of emotional intelligence
Towards Sustainability: A Quintuple Helix Approach in the Circular Economy Framework
The combination of innovative technological solutions with the natural ecological frameworks
of our planet offers a crucial path towards sustainable development goals (SDGs) delineated in The
2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, as well as the transition to a circular economy (CE) with the
adoption of the principle of circularity and natural-based business models. As we navigate the
challenges of sustainable advancement, it must be pointed out that innovation's crucial role in
accomplishing the SDGs. The Quintuple Helix Model and the SMART Quintuple Helix System offer an
innovative framework for encouraging innovation that need to be closely interwoven with sustainable
development activities. These models underscore the necessity of a collaborative approach involving
academia, industry, government, civil society, and environmental considerations to address the complex
challenges of today necessary transition to the CE
Digitalizacija, digitalna transformacija i nove perspektive rada
Apstrakt: Danas su u opticaju tri pojma koja govore o vezi savremene
tehnologije i karaktera ljudskog rada: informatizacija (eng. Digitization),
digitalizacija i digitalna transformacija Prvi termin, informatizacija, se koristi da
označi, u najširem smislu, proces prelaska sa analognog na digitalni oblik, dok se
digitalizacija definiše kao način na koji se različiti aspekti društvenog života
restrukturiraju oko digitalne komunikacione i medijske infrastrukture. S druge strane,
pod digitalnom transformacijom se podrazumeva proces čiji je cilj da unapredi
određenu organizaciju putem pokretanja značajnih promena njenih svojstava kroz
integraciju informacija, računarstva, komunikacija i tehnologija povezivanja i
umrežavanja. Drugim rečima digitalna transformacija je organizaciona promena kroz
upotrebu digitalnih tehnologija i poslovnih modela u cilju poboljšavana rezultata. Ovi
procesi se odražavaju na celokupni život pa, prema tome, i na ljudski rad. Cilj ovog
rada da ukaže na moguće promene u karakteru i načinu obavljanja ljudskog rada pod
uticajem razvoja digitalnih tehnologija.. Ovde se postavlja pitanje viška radne snage i
načina njenog egzistencijalnog zbrinjavanja

Adding Counterfactual Interpretation to DEA
This paper investigates the integration of the Synthetic Control Method (SCM), a proven method to analyze an impact of policy interventions, and Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA), a well-known mathematical technique for measuring relative efficiency of decision-making units with multiple inputs and multiple outputs, to evaluate the effect of policy interventions on the efficiency of decision-making unit. Specifically, this paper applies these methodologies to assess the efficiency of Serbian banks over a given period, focusing on the influence of a merger between two principal banks on their operational performance, and answering a counterfactual question whether efficiency of a bank would be the same if a merger did not happen. The study demonstrates that SCM can be an effective tool for analyzing the repercussions of policy measures on decision-making unit efficiency. In other words, we suggest combining these two methods in the future, in order to conclude whether an intervention really has an impact on efficiency
Higher Education Institutions Orientation towards Industry 5.0
It is known that Industry 5.0 can impact organizational performance improvements. Unlike Industry 4.0, which focuses on technologies and technological advancements, Industry 5.0 moves forward by prioritizing societal sustainability. Higher Education Institutions significantly contribute to societal sustainability as they represent the foundation of every society’s development. Higher Education Institutions have the potential to advance society by establishing mechanisms to adopt new, innovative methodologies in this era of profound global changes. In this regard, this paper focuses on the orientation of Industry 5.0 in the Higher Education Institutions in Serbia and its region. The research was conducted through a survey, collecting 366 correctly completed responses. Using four variables on a five-point Likert scale, the orientation of Industry 5.0 in the Higher Education Institutions in Serbia and the region was explored. All results fall within the scale range of 3.5/5 to 3.8/5, indicating that the level of acceptance and implementation of Industry 5.0 is not very hig
A domain-specific language for managing ETL processes
Maintenance of Data Warehouse (DW) systems is a critical task because any downtime or data loss can have significant consequences on business applications. Existing DW maintenance solutions mostly rely on concrete technologies and tools that are dependent on: the platform on which the DW system was created; the specific data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) tool; and the database language the DW uses. Different languages for different versions of DW systems make organizing DW processes difficult, as minimal changes in the structure require major changes in the application code for managing ETL processes. This article proposes a domain-specific language (DSL) for ETL process management that mitigates these problems by centralizing all program logic, making it independent from a particular platform. This approach would simplify DW system maintenance. The platform-independent language proposed in this article also provides an easier way to create a unified environment to control DW processes, regardless of the language, environment, or ETL tool the DW uses
