    Овај извештај је резултат пројекта „Постављање основа за јачање капацитета заједнице економије дељења у Србији“ (енгл. Setting foundation for caPAcity buildiNg of shAring Community in SERbiA - PANACEA) који реализује тим истраживача са три факултета Универзитета у Београду: Факултета oрганизационих наука, Саобраћајног факултета и Економског факултета. Пројекат се реализује у периоду од јануара 2022. године до јануара 2025. године под руководством др Вељка Јеремића, редовног професора Факултета организационих наука. Израду ове публикације је омогућио Фонд за науку Републике Србије у оквиру програма „ИДЕЈЕ“ (БРОЈ ПРОЈЕКТА 7523041, PANACEA).     Feasibility Assessment of Digital Transformation Projects in Agriculture

    The United Nations, as the leading international organization that brings member country governments to cooperate in the fields of international law, global security, economic development and social equality, has defined 17 sustainable development goals to reduce poverty and hunger in the world, healthy life, better and more accessible education, environmental protection, etc. One of the ways to achieve the set goals is the digital transformation of society (United Nation, 2022). Digital transformation projects in certain areas are not simple, and therefore it is necessary to draw conclusions with great care and adequate feasibility assessments of their implementation. There are significant challenges in determining all the effects of these projects, because in addition to quantitative, easily measurable, there are also qualitative effects that are very difficult to measure in money. Traditional methods of feasibility assessment do not take into account qualitative effects, which can significantly affect the abandonment of digital transformation projects, which are extremely important and can be very successful (Chen, 2001). The aim of this paper is to investigate and analyze the way in which digital transformation projects in the field of agriculture can be measured and evaluated. The basic specificity of agricultural production in relation to other branches of the economy is that agricultural production largely depends on climatic conditions and the quality of the land itself. This is a consequence of the fact that in agricultural production the climate is difficult to predict. Also, the climate is something on which the whole agricultural production depends, much more than in other branches in which it mostly affects indirectly, and the profitability of growing a crop directly depends on the place of cultivation. Better climatic conditions and land means higher yield, and therefore the production will be more profitable. Furthermore, the specificity of agricultural production is that the time period from the beginning of the investment to the arrival of the first results is much longer than in other branches of the economy. In addition, the total income is not evenly distributed over the months, but arrives once a year, or in very short intervals

    Measuring The Success Of Digital Transformation Projects

    Digital transformation is today's reality that creates huge opportunities, but at the same time represents a great threat to many companies. Current changes in the environment as a result of the Corona virus pandemic have additionally accelerated the digital transformation of society, which began a long time ago. Digital transformation projects represent the implementation of ICT systems that combine the concepts of artificial intelligence, ERP systems and the Internet of Things (Ziyadin, S.; Streltsova, E.; Borodin ,A. & Kiseleva , N., 2019). Adequate implementation of such systems brings significant effects for organizations and society. These effects are long-term and affect the replacement of the traditional business model with completely new and innovative models based on information and communication technologies (Pihir, I.; Tomičić-Pupek, K. & Furjan, M. T. , 2018). However, digital transformation projects are not always successful. Furthermore, it is not always easy to assess their success. This hypothesis is supported by the fact that there is no significant amount of scientific literature that deals with this topic. Therefore, the idea of the paper is to investigate and analyze models for evaluating the success of digital transformation projects, to identify a comprehensive list of critical success factors of such projects based on literature reviews and to connect these success factors with project success dimensions

    ONLINE VS HYBRID TEACHING - COMPARISON OF STUDENTS' PERFORMANCE ON PRE-EXAM OBLIGATIONS

    The aim of the study is to examine whether there is a difference in student motivation and success in preexam obligations in terms of how teaching is conducted. Due to the corona virus pandemic, all teaching at the Faculty of Organizational Sciences in the summer semester of 2021 took place online, while in the summer semester of 2022, teaching were held on a hybrid model. The hybrid model implied that lectures are conducted in online teaching while exercises in direct teaching model. The assumption we want to test is whether students achieve better results in the hybrid teaching model. Recent papers on similar topics usually compared pre-pandemic performance with performance during the pandemic (Chisadza et al., 2021; Clark et al., 2021; Dwijuliani et al., 2021; Engelhardt et al., 2021; Nazempour et al., 2022).     THE IMPACT OF THE COVID CRISIS ON MACROECONOMIC INDICATORS OF EU MEMBER STATES

    The macroeconomic indicators for the 27 EU member states in the period from 2015 to 2021 were analyzed. The following macroeconomic indicators were selected: GDP growth, inflation, unemployment rate and public debt. (IMF, 2022). Descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA and cluster analysis were applied to the mentioned data set. The period before and during the COVID crisis was analyzed separately, in order to examine the statistically significant impact on macroeconomic variables. GDP fell in 2020 compared to the previous period in all observed countries except Ireland. Inflation recorded the highest growth in 2021, while unemployment increased slightly compared to the period before the COVID pandemic. Public debt has a tendency to increase in 2020 and 2021. Based on these results, the time interval is divided into two subperiods: the period before the COVID pandemic from 2015 to 2018 and the period after the outbreak of the pandemic 2020 to 2021. Due to the discontinuity caused by the outbreak of the COVID pandemic, 2019, in which macroeconomic indicators have a similar tendency as in the years preceding it, was left out of the analysis. Based on the average values for the two subperiods, the paired t-tests show a significant statistical difference in all observed variables. Based on the values of the variables, EU members can be divided into four groups of countries. As Greece showed the worst results among the observed countries, both before and after the outbreak of the pandemic, it is alone in one of the four identified clusters.     Machine learning in scientific grant review: algorithmically predicting project efficiency in high energy physics

    As more objections have been raised against grant peer-review for being costly and time-consuming, the legitimate question arises whether machine learning algorithms could help assess the epistemic efficiency of the proposed projects. As a case study, we investigated whether project efficiency in high energy physics (HEP) can be algorithmically predicted based on the data from the proposal. To analyze the potential of algorithmic prediction in HEP, we conducted a study on data about the structure (project duration, team number, and team size) and outcomes (citations per paper) of HEP experiments with the goal of predicting their efficiency. In the first step, we assessed the project efficiency using Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) of 67 experiments conducted in the HEP laboratory Fermilab. In the second step, we employed predictive algorithms to detect which team structures maximize the epistemic performance of an expert group. For this purpose, we used the efficiency scores obtained by DEA and applied predictive algorithms - lasso and ridge linear regression, neural network, and gradient boosted trees - on them. The results of the predictive analyses show moderately high accuracy (mean absolute error equal to 0.123), indicating that they can be beneficial as one of the steps in grant review. Still, their applicability in practice should be approached with caution. Some of the limitations of the algorithmic approach are the unreliability of citation patterns, unobservable variables that influence scientific success, and the potential predictability of the model

    A different approach to b(αn,βn)-hypermetric spaces

    Uvod/cilj: Cilj ovog rada jeste da se predstavi koncept b(αn,βn)-hipermetričkih prostora. Metode: Primenjene su konvencionalne teoretske metode funkcionalne analize. Rezultati: U radu su predstavljeni inicijalni rezultati koji se odnose na b(αn,βn)-hipermetričke prostore. U prvom delu generalizuje se n-dimenzionalno (n ≥ 2) hipermetričko rastojanje na proizvoljnom nepraznom skupu X. Funkcija b(αn,βn)-hiperrastojanja može se definisati na proizvoljan način dokle God su zadovoljene tri osobine: nenegativnost, pozitivna definitnost, simetrija i (αn,βn)-nejednakost trougla. U drugom delu rada razmatrani su koncept (αn,βn)-kompletnosti u odnosu na b(αn,βn) )-hipermetriku i teorema fiksne tačke, koja ima značajnu ulogu u primenjenoj matematici na više polja. Zaključak: Odgovarajućim generalizacijama moguće je formulisati poznate rezultate klasičnih metričkih prostora na slučaj b(αn,βn)-hipermetričkih prostora.Introduction/purpose: The aim of this paper is to present the concept of b(αn,βn)-hypermetric spaces. Methods: Conventional theoretical methods of functional analysis. Results: This study presents the initial results on the topic of b(αn,βn)-hypermetric spaces. In the first part, we generalize an n-dimensional (n ≥ 2) hypermetric distance over an arbitrary non-empty set X. The b(αn,βn)-hyperdistance function is defined in any way we like, the only constraint being the simultaneous satisfaction of the three properties, viz, non-negativity and positive-definiteness, symmetry and (αn,βn)-triangle inequality. In the second part, we discuss the concept of (αn,βn)-completeness, with respect to this b(αn,βn)-hypermetric, and the fixed point theorem which plays an important role in applied mathematics in a variety of fields. Conclusion: With proper generalisations, it is possible to formulate well-known results of classical metric spaces to the case of b(αn,βn)-hypermetric spaces

    Technological development and universal basic income: From utopia to reality

    U ovom radu se analizira ideja univerzalnog osnovnog prihoda, pod kojim se podrazumeva periodična novčana isplata koju, bez ikakvih prethodnih uslova, dobijaju svi članovi društva. Većina ranijih gledišta je u sebi nosila mnogo utopijskih elemenata. Stoga je osnovni cilj ovog rada da ukaže na realnost ove ideje i da odgovori na pitanje da li je to samo još jedna u nizu utopija ili danas postoje realne osnove za njenu realizaciju. Savremeni tehnološki razvoj otvara prostor za uvećavanje proizvodnje, isključivanjem živog rada iz nje i podizanjem profita organizatora proizvodnje, a sve više radnika ima povremene periode nezaposlenosti u svom radnom veku. Sve ovo čini ideju univerzalnog obaveznog prihoda aktuelnom. U tekstu se obrazlaže stav da tehnološki razvoj, mehanizmima preraspodele profita, otvara prostor da ova ideja preraste utopijski karakter i postane realnost. Prethodni uslov je da se višak bogatstva koji odlazi organizatorima proizvodnje preusmeri ostatku stanovništva.This paper analyzes the idea of universal basic income, which implies a periodic monetary payment received by all members of the society, with no prerequisites. Most former viewpoints contained numerous utopian elements. Therefore, the main aim of this paper is to point to the reality of this idea and answer the question whether it is yet another in a series of utopias, or there are actual foundations for its realization today. Modern technological development opens the space for increasing production by excluding human labour from it and by increasing profits of production organizers, whereas an increasing number of workers face temporary periods of unemployment during their working lives. All of the above make the idea of universal mandatory income up-to-date. The text explains the attitude that technological development, through mechanisms of profit redistribution, opens the space for this idea to overgrow its utopian character and become reality. The prerequisite is that the surplus of wealth that goes to production organizers should be redirected to the rest of the population
