    No full text
This paper explores the use of drones in smart agriculture, focusing on the design and programming of drones for agricultural applications using a simulated environment. The motive for this topic is the need for improvement of the efficiency of agricultural operations and the sustainability of production. The paper provides a prototype drone program and model, developed in simulated environment, that can be integrated with Internet of Things (IoT) system and will enable farmers to precisely control parameters and increase productivity. The physical prototype for collecting sensory data from the environment is also implemented. The used approach describes software architecture needed for development of a drone-based solution for smart agriculture, as well as the software and hardware tools used in the process. Through this research, the paper contributes to the understanding and application of advanced technologies in the agricultural sector, opening the way for further research and development in the field of agricultural automation

    No full text
The digital age, the uprise of new technologies and contemporary challenges have significantly impacted leaders and their functioning. This paper aims to examine the core competencies leaders have to possess or develop to successfully navigate the digital disruption age. Despite the plethora of noteworthy studies about leadership competencies, there still is a research gap in the context of leadership competencies in a digital age. The article aims to identify the competencies required for leaders to overcome contemporary challenges and successfully navigate new challenges of the digitally disrupted age, drawing on relevant research and respectable articles, and provide a new definition of leadership in the context of the digital age. The findings of this article present six leadership competencies for the digital age and indicate that leaders who understand and embrace new challenges and develop a unique set of competencies will be able to navigate the complexities of the digital age and lead their organisations towards success. This study makes valuable scientific and practical contributions, examining leadership competencies from the perspective of digital-age challenges and providing more fine-grained insight for leaders to enhance their competencies and adapt to the changing landscape of the modern business environmen

Airbnb Adoption among Students: Insights from Serbia

    No full text
This research was conducted to investigate the adoption rates and intents towards Airbnb platform among students in Serbia. A total of 201 students and millennials participated in the research. Findings show that only 59.6% used the services of this platform, mostly 1-2 times, predominantly for international travel. The main reasons include lower price. Respondents believed the accommodation's location and surroundings could threaten their safety, but not their hosts. Students mostly find using the platform fun and modern and are willing to recommend it further. In assessing students' future Airbnb involvement, we investigated how location, host, and accommodation safety, along with extra costs, lower quality, and complaints, influenced participation. Unexpectedly, location insecurity positively impacts future platform usage, while poor accommodation safety predictably diminishes it. Our findings highlight the growing popularity of Airbnb among Serbian students for international leisure travel, yet safety and privacy concerns remain. Despite this, most respondents enjoy using Airbnb and intend to continue

Digital Transformation and Key Performance Indicators in Manufacturing: A Comprehensive Literature Review

    No full text
Digitalization presents a revolution in the manufacturing sector that refers to the transition from traditional to digital technologies forming an integral part of Industry 4.0. The purpose of the article is to present the relevant literature dealing with Digital Key Performance Indicators and Digital Transformation Key Performance Indicators and their application in the manufacturing industry. The aim of the article is to improve the comprehension of digitalization in production processes and their optimization, where these key performance indicators are of high importance. The intention of the article is to highlight the importance of the application of digitalization in manufacturing companies, identifying key challenges, by presenting the results of the literature review using the bibliographic databases Scopus and Web of Science. The results presented in this article can help manufacturing companies improve the planning of their resources and direct them towards digital transformation, tending to gain a competitive advantage in the market

Farm to Fork Initiative Towards Sharing Economy in Serbian Agriculture: A Case Study of Farmit Startup

    No full text
This paper presents the main business outline of the Farmit startup. Farmit is an online platform aimed at connecting customers from urban areas with small farmers. Using the app, customers create their virtual garden and choose vegetables they would like to have planted. Farmers plant that ratio of vegetables on their fields and deliver the vegetables from that ratio strip to the customers. This paper gives a theoretical outline of the sharing economy and the Farm to Fork concept and describes their similarities. Using a case study approach, it proposes a business model to fit into strategic directions based on the abovementioned concepts

Comparative analysis of ISO 3744 and ISO 5305 standards for UAS noise measurement

The rapid development and expansion of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) necessitate stringent regulatory frameworks to mitigate their environmental and societal impacts, particularly noise pollution. This paper presents a comparative analysis of two key ISO standards—ISO 3744 and ISO 5305—used for measuring noise emissions from UAS. The study aims to explain the strengths, limitations, and applicability of each standard within the context of the unique acoustic challenges posed by UAS operations. ISO 3744, traditionally applied to various noise sources, provides a general framework for determining sound power levels based on sound pressure measurements. In contrast, the more recent ISO 5305 offers a specialized approach tailored specifically for UAS, taking into account the distinct acoustic profiles and operational contexts of UAS. Through a detailed examination, this paper highlights the differences in measurement methodologies and their respective capacities to address the unique noise characteristics of UAS. The findings underscore the importance of standardization in reducing noise pollution from UAS, which is crucial for minimizing their impact on both the environment and residential communities. The paper concludes with recommendations for the adoption and further refinement of these standards to better serve the needs of industry stakeholders and policymakers

Methodology of creating NFT fashion projects

    No full text
There is a lot of misunderstanding about what non-fungible tokens represent. They are usually associated with some kind of ownership or certification, but it is much more than that. This document aims to inform the readers about different use cases of NFT in the real and virtual world, with applications in the fashion industry. The paper aims to propose a methodology for creating NFT fashion projects. According to the proposed methodology, modelling of the ecosystem for the fashion industry based on NFT is presented. An example of creating an NFT collection, minting and realizing a transaction using a smart contract was also developed. The PyTeal programming language was used to develop the smart contract, and the Algorand platform and market were used to display transactions and minting

SECURING CRYPTOGRAPHIC SECRETS ON IOT DEVICES: A REVIEW

    No full text
Common attacks used to exploit vulnerabilities of IoT devices with the goal of exposing cryptographic secrets (keys, signatures, certificates) or bypassing verifications that use these secrets, include fault injection, side channel attacks and firmware extraction. Exposing cryptographic secrets in IoT can cause various problems from data breaches to malicious firmware flashing, leading to violation of data privacy and even substantial damage. The goal of this paper is to review methods for securing cryptographic secrets in IoT with some examples of microcontrollers and processors frequently used in IoT devices

    No full text
This paper examines the transformative shifts in Business Process Management (BPM) practices in Serbia over a decade, from 2012 to 2022. Research was conducted through surveys carried out in 2012 and 2022, and utilizing a comparative analysis, this study documents a significant evolution towards higher levels of BPM maturity. Initially characterized by sporadic and isolated projects, Serbian companies have increasingly embraced comprehensive, organization-wide BPM initiatives. The findings highlight a pronounced shift towards efficiency and cost-effectiveness, underpinning broader business transformation efforts. This study also reveals an enhanced recognition and adaptation to emerging challenges that differ notably from those encountered a decade ago. The findings offer valuable insights into the dynamic nature of BPM in Serbia, providing a foundation for understanding its current challenges and anticipating future developments in the field. The limitation of this study lies in the changes that occurred over 10 years, including economic changes, technological advancements, and the impact of COVID19, which could have influenced the research results. This paper not only maps out a decade of BPM evolution in Serbia but also highlights the need for ongoing research into the influences shaping business processes in the region
