Designing a Blockchain-Based E-Business System for Tracking Honey Production
Increased awareness in importance of organic food and its impact on human health brings out new challenges that consumers face in the market when making their decision whether or not to buy natural products. Since organic products usually cannot be easily distinguished from conventional ones, lack of information about the origin of the product is the main obstacle for gaining customers trust. Using blockchain technologies could provide transparent and non-editable information about the origin of the product and its journey to the end-user. This paper gives an example of blockchain-based system for tracking the process of organic honey production. Focus will be put on individual producers and consumers, but system can be expanded to include different stakeholders, such as distributors and retailers
Implementation of agile management and business agility
Od pojave Agilnog manifesta kreiranog za uspešniji razvoj softvera, agilni koncept razmišljanja u upravljanju je evoluirao i danas imamo daleko razvijenije forme agilnog upravljanja, agilne alate i metode koje su pomogle mnogim timovima i kompanijama da usvoje i primene agilne prakse. Cilj ovog rada je da sagleda različite nivoe implementacije agilnog upravljanja i prikaže glavne prednosti implementacije alinog upravljanja. Kroz pregled literature prikazuje se koncept agilnog upravljanja projektima i organizacione agilnosti i razmatra poslovna agilnost kao najviši stadijum implementacije agilnog koncepta u kompanijama. U radu su analizirani klasični i agilni koncept upravljanja projektima, prikazan je proces agilnog upravljanja projektima kao i glavne uloge i benefiti. Organizaciona agilnost je prikazana kroz organizacione uloge i strukturu kao i kroz najčešće načine agilne realizacije poslova. Na kraju je objašnjena poslovna agilnost i razmotrene glavne oblasti u kojima treba izvršiti promene da bi se uspostavila na nivou kompanije.Since the appearance of the Agile Manifesto for more successful software development, the agile concept of thinking in management has evolved and today we have far more developed forms of agile management, agile tools and methods that have helped many teams and companies to adopt and apply agile practices. The aim of this paper is to review the different levels of implementation of agile management and show the main advantages that the implementation of agile management has. Through the literature review, the concept of agile project management, organizational agility and business agility as the highest stage of implementation of the agile concept in companies are presented. The paper analyzes the classic and agile concepts of project management, shows the process of agile project management as well as the main roles and benefits. Organizational agility is shown through roles and organizational structure, as well as through the most common ways of agile work management. Finally, business agility is explained and the main areas where changes need to be made to establish it at the company level are discussed
Efficiency analysis of textile companies in Serbia
Svrha istraživanja u ovom radu je da se primenom racio analize utvrdi nivo efikasnosti preduzeća koja se bave proizvodnjom tekstila u Republici Srbiji u periodu od 2017. do 2019. godine. Istraživanje je sprovedeno na uzorku od tri preduzeća koja se bave proizvodnjom tekstila, a čije su akcije listirane na Beogradskoj berzi. U radu je posmatrana njihova efikasnost upravljanja: ukupnom imovinom, stalnom imovinom, obrtnom imovinom, zalihama, potraživanjima od kupaca i obavezama prema dobavljačima. Istraživanjem je utvrđeno da su tokom posmatranog perioda prisutne fluktuacije vrednosti korišćenih pokazatelja efikasnosti. Takođe, utvrđeno je da postoji značajan prostor za unapređenje efikasnosti posmatranih tekstilnih preduzeća. Rezultati istraživanja mogu biti od značaja za menadžment preduzeća, vlasnike (akcionare) preduzeća, investitore i poverioce.The purpose of the research is to use the ratio analysis to determine the level of efficiency of companies engaged in the production of textiles in the Republic of Serbia in the period from 2017 to 2019. The research was conducted on a sample of three companies engaged in the production of textiles, whose shares are listed on the Belgrade Stock Exchange. The paper observes their management efficiency: total assets, fixed assets, current assets, inventories, trade receivables and trade payables. The research determined that fluctuations in the values of the used efficiency indicators were present during the observed period. Further, it was determined that there is a significant space for improving the efficiency of the observed textile companies. The results of the research can be important for the management of the company, owners (shareholders) of the company, investors and creditors
Anticipating the impact of sharing economy drivers on consumer intention for using a sharing economy service
This paper explores main drivers that influence consumers' decision related to the usage of a sharing economy service: trust, interaction, and experience. These three driving forces are put together in the functional form in order to explore its synergy influence on potential consumers' interest in SES. The theoretical contribution of the paper is reflected in the design of the original simulation model for predicting the number of potential sharing economy users. Our findings and qualitative cluster analysis provide an insight into the behaviour of sharing economy customers which might help sharing economy providers to thoroughly analyse target users in order to meet their preferences. The proposed approach is tested through a small-scale experiment for the peer-to-peer carsharing service
A study on ski groups size and their relationship to the risk of injury
This paper addresses a novel topic in ski injury research - how a ski group size indicates the risk of ski injury. There is evidence in research literature that people ski in groups. However, the relationship between group size and the risk of injury has remained unexplored. Based on ski lift entrance data, we use the density-based clustering algorithm OPTICS to identify groups of skiers and discuss the advantages of using this algorithm. We show that the ski group size can be used to improve the identification of skiers who experience ski injury. The results of the identification of ski groups at Mt. Kopaonik Ski Resort in Serbia show that skiing alone is most susceptible to ski injury, while skiing in couples or in bigger groups reduces the risk of injury by 46%. In addition, it is confirmed that ski injuries are an early failure event phenomena. Based on the CHAID decision tree analysis, spending a small amount of time at the ski resort and skiing alone are associated with the: 6 times greater ski injury risk than the average ski injury risk
A Multi-Criteria Decision-Making Framework for Prioritizing and Overcoming Sectoral Barriers in Converting Agricultural Residues to a Building Material
Biological products utilization are increasingly encouraged in different sectors such as building construction to facilitate moving towards a circular economy. However, this task is facing several barriers in supply chain and construction sectors. This study identified common barriers in converting agricultural residues to building materials and products in the agriculture sector, transportation, and manufacturing, as well as construction and operation phases in the building sector. The feasibility level to overcome the barriers has been scored. In addition, the barriers and sectors have been prioritized through ordinal priority approach. The results ranked the priority of the barriers as technology (0.3083), policy (0.2211), knowledge (0.1972), cost (0.1500), social and cultural (0.0739), and infrastructure (0.0494). Sectors were ranked in feasibility level to overcome the barriers from lowest to highest as operating, construction, manufacturing, transport, and agriculture. It is recommended to local communities to give priority to the building sector rather than supply chain and work under an integrated framework to enhance the feasibility level, which should include localization, prevention, collaboration, and digitalization. In particular, Chile should promote converting agricultural residues to building products as the project aligns with several initiatives existing in its circular economy roadmap
Codes over Lattice-Valued Intuitionistic Fuzzy Set Type-3 with Application to the Complex DNA Analysis
In this article codes over lattice valued intuitionistic fuzzy set type-3 (LIFS-3) are defined. Binary block codes and linear codes are constructed over LIFS-3. Hamming distance and related properties of these newly established codes are examined. The research findings are applied to genetic codes. The set L of sixty-four codons is converted into a lattice and then codes are created over the set S of twenty amino acids by defining membership and nonmembership functions from the set of twenty amino acids to the sixty-four codon set. Comparison of codes over L-fuzzy set and LIFS-3 conducted in terms of hamming distance for codon system that ensures the efficiency of newly established codes
Soft Outer Measure and Soft Premeasure
Molodtsov introduced the concept of soft set as a new mathematical tool for dealing with problems treating uncertainties, and, later, Riaz at al. developed various concepts of soft sets. Here, we study the concept of soft semiring and soft premeasure and explore their basic properties. We define a [0, infinity]-valued function on some soft set 8, that is not a soft sigma-algebra, and then we extend this function to a measure on the soft sigma-algebra generated by 8. We also introduce various set functions like soft content and soft premeasures, and give their basic properties
