Navigating the Landscape of Sharing Economy: Servitization-based Business Model Innovation

    No full text
Contemporary business environment alongside the advancement of digital technologies inspires organizations to adopt different business model innovations, embracing concepts like product-service systems (PS systems) and sharing economy. Both approaches are primarily about the creation of added value for those involved in the ecosystem by focusing on providing access to goods and services rather than pure ownership. Consequently, this leads to achieving resource optimization, step-forward sustainable development and advancing overall user experience. While a shift toward models enriched by services, promises enhanced customer value, it also entails uncertainties, organizational challenges and various risks, including managerial, operational or financial. Therefore, this paper examines and compares servitization-based business models grounded on recognized features from the available literature. This should be a starting point for a better understanding of the mutual value of these approaches and the corresponding effects of their application

Pravednost i jednakost u algoritamskom odlučivanju

    No full text

Segmentation of Ride-Sharing Consumers: The case of BlaBlaCar Users From the Republic of Serbia

    No full text
Shared mobility can be defined as transportation services and systems that allow individuals to access and use vehicles or means of transportation on a shared basis rather than owning them. Forms of shared mobility encompass ride-sharing, carpooling, bike-sharing, car-sharing, and others. The question that tackles practitioners in the field is how users of these services can be segmented. Therefore, this study aims to segment Serbian users of a ride-sharing platform, BlaBlaCar. The data utilised in the paper was collected through an empirical study conducted from May to December 2023. Employing the k-means clustering algorithm, the resulting segments provide insights into the differences in behaviour, experience, and satisfaction with the BlaBlaCar platform and service among users. This research serves as a potential catalyst for further exploration of segmentation analysis in the fields of sharing economy and shared mobility

Sharing economy value perception and employees’ workplace satisfaction in co-working spaces

    No full text
The sharing economy paradigm inspires changes in various work-related domains by imposing the values of social cohesion, collaborative lifestyle and sustainability. The embodiment of this value system is seen in the evolving trend of co-working space. In order to investigate the relation between the perception of the presence of these specific values in office spatial features and the capacity of the workspace to satisfy the psychosocial needs of occupants, we conducted research on 81 employees working in different office types. It was found that employees recognize availability, collaboration, ability to create networks and openness, as more represented values and satisfaction with personalisation and territoriality more linked with them Results also show that there is a correlation between perceived values and workspace satisfaction with the focus on the needs for status congruency that becomes more emphasized in traditional shared offices along with the identification needs, which becomes the challenge for modern co-working offices

Towards the Utilization of AI-powered Assistance for Systematic Literature Review

    No full text
Systematic literature review (SLR) serves as a cornerstone of evidence-based research, yet its execution often proves time-consuming and labor-intensive. The advent of ChatGPT has sparked interest in harnessing artificial intelligence to streamline various tasks. This paper aims to evaluate the efficacy of two GPT-based tools, Elicit and SciSpace, in automating the SLR process. We assess their usability and reliability in two SLR steps: literature search and citation screening. Through testing via conducted SLR, we examine the benefits and limitations of these tools. Our findings suggest that while Elicit and SciSpace offer significant assistance in literature retrieval and study selection, their integration with human expertise is essential to ensure the thoroughness and accuracy of the review process

To impute or not? Testing multivariate normality on incomplete dataset: revisiting the BHEP test

    No full text
In this paper, we focus on testing multivariate normality using the BHEP test with data that are missing completely at random. Our objective is twofold: first, to gain insight into the asymptotic behavior of the BHEP test statistics under two widely used approaches for handling missing data, namely complete-case analysis and imputation, and second, to compare the power performance of the test statistic under these approaches. Since complete-case approach removes all elements of the sample with at least one missing component, it might lead to the loss of information. On the other hand, we note that performing the test on imputed data as if they were complete, Type I error becomes severely distorted. To address these issues, we propose an appropriate bootstrap algorithm for approximating p-values. Extensive simulation studies demonstrate that both mean and median approaches exhibit greater power compared to testing with complete-case analysis, and open some questions for further research. The proposed methodology is illustrated with real-data examples

Evaluation of the performance measures in manufacturing cell formation

    No full text
In this work, the Cell Formation Problem (CFP) within manufacturing systems is evaluated, seeking to optimize production processes. Accordingly, the appropriateness of the existing evaluation measures for use in dynamic manufacturing scenarios is investigated with the view of enhancing their accuracy and efficacy. The obtained findings indicate the need to reevaluate the commonly adopted evaluation measures for CFP, potentially replacing them with data-driven and context-specific approaches. A quantitative methodology is successfully used to defines parameters that quantify the quality of evaluation measures, rendering such evaluation more robust and adaptable to specific contexts. While grouping efficacy is a commonly accepted measure in this research field, it was shown to exhibit drawbacks that do not justify its widespread popularity. In response to the identified research gaps, a refined objective function is proposed for the core CFP problem. This novel function is designed to enhance solution efficiency and accuracy, ultimately contributing to improved manufacturing processes. The aforementioned findings present a significant advancement in the understanding and application of evaluation measures in the CFP domain, offering a foundation for further research and potential enhancements in manufacturing optimization practices.Articles in Press, Accepted Manuscript, Available Online from 22 January 202
