Optimizing inventory classification: a multi-criteria approach based on ordinal sums of conjunctive and disjunctive functions
Inventory management plays a significant role in manufacturing organizations as it balances supply and demand, i.e. ensures the continuity of production, the satisfaction of customer demand and the minimization of costs inventory level optimization. Efficient inventory management highly depends on the categorization of inventory items to simplify the management process and decide on an appropriate inventory management policy. In this paper, two different methods are used to classify 290 inventory items with the aim of examining the differences between them. The first method is the classical single-criteria ABC analysis based on consumption value, while the second is a multi-criteria ABC classification based on ordinal sums. Both classification methods categorize items into three classes, A, B and C, based on their importance. Although both classification methods have a relatively high agreement rate (73.84%), a third of all misclassification cases are cases that could lead inventory managers to neglect the items of the highest importance. Therefore, it is recommended to pay special attention to these items and make a timely decision on an appropriate inventory management policy for them. Finally, this article discusses topics for the future improvements of this first attempt to apply ordinal sums in this field
A Counterfactual Approach to Measuring Impact of Policy Intervention on Efficiency - Synthetic Control Method and DEA
This paper investigates the combination of the Synthetic Control Method (SCM) and Data
Envelopment Analysis (DEA), to evaluate the effect of policy intervention on the efficiency of
decision-making unit. Specifically, the study was conducted to assess the efficiency of Serbian banks
over a period of 12 years, focusing on the influence of acquisition of Credy bank, and answering a
counterfactual question whether efficiency of a bank would be the same if the acquisition had not
happened. The study demonstrates that SCM in combination with DEA can be an effective method
for analyzing the repercussions of policy measures on decision-making unit efficiency. In other words,
we suggest combining these two methods in the future, in order to conclude whether an intervention
really has an impact on efficiency

Primena algoritma veštačkih kolonija pčela u optimizaciji investicionog portfolija
Основни циљ рада је да истражи могућност примене алгоритма вештачких колонија пчела
при оптимизацији портфолија, конструисаног од 10 хеџ фонд индекса, који представљају различите
инвестиционе стратегије. Извршена је глобална једнокритеријумска оптимизација по основу 4
одабрана критеријума ризика и конструисана су 4 портфолија. Евалуација успешности спроведена је
поређењем приноса конструисаних портфолија са 2 општа хеџ фонд индекса током периода од 3
године и ребалансирањем портфолија на сваких 12 месеци. Портфолио оптимизован по основу
критеријума условне вредности под ризиком бележи најбоље перформансе према свим анализираним
метрикама, као и најкраће време у зонама негативних приноса. Резултати су показали да се помоћу
алгоритма вештачких колонија пчела може конструисати портфолио који нуди упоредиви ниво
перформанси у односу на стандардне хеџ фонд индекс
Mogućnosti primene 8D metodologije za poboljšanje kvaliteta u IT kompanijama
Rad istražuje primenu 8D metodologije za rešavanje problema u organizacijama, sa posebnim fokusom na IT kompanije i unapređenje kvaliteta usluga. Cilj rada je pružiti dublji uvid u samu metodologiju i proceniti njenu primenljivost u IT industriji. Iako prvenstveno razvijena za potrebe automobilske industrije, može se pretpostaviti da, zahvaljujući svojoj širokoj primeni, može naći svoje mesto i u drugim industrijama. Koristeći se teorijom kao osnovom i simulacijom procesa implementacije 8D metodologije, autori objašnjavaju njenu prikladnost za rešavanje velikog broja žalbi klijenata u uslužnoj IT kompaniji. Poseban akcenat stavlja se na značaj žalbi klijenata, na šta upućuju i standardi ISO 10000, kao i na analizu uticaja žalbi na proces rešavanja problema
IMPROVEMENT OF SALES MANAGEMENT IN RETAIL FACILITIES BY APPLICATION OF KPI
U ovom radu je prikazana primena ključnih indikatora performansi (KPI) za
unapređenje upravljanja prodajom u maloprodajnim objektima u preduzeću iz oblasti
modne industrije. Svrha rada je definisanje skupa KPI za unapređenje upravljanja
prodajom u maloprodajnim objektima. Cilj rada je uporedna analiza rezultata
poslovanja u oblasti upravljanja prodajom u preduzeću u 2021. i 2022. godini primenom
definisanog skupa KPI. Namera rada je definisanje mera za unapređenje upravljanja
prodajom u maloprodajnim objektima u preduzeću iz modne industrije. Na osnovu
dobijenih rezultata, može se zaključiti da je posmatrano preduzeće postiglo bolje
rezultate u upravljanju prodajom u maloprodajnim objektima u 2022. godini u odnosu
na 2021. godinu, ali da je potrebno da primeni neke od mera za unapređenje
upravljanja prodajom koje su predložene u radu, kako bi u velikoj meri unapredilo svoje
poslovanje
THE PERCEPTION OF E-LEARNING QUALITY IN HIGHER EDUCATION: SEM-ANN APPROACH
The pandemic resulted in lockdown measures worldwide, which forced humanity to seek online alternatives to almost every human activity, including the education system. This research aims to develop a new integrated model to determine the predictors of the quality of E-learning during the pandemic disruption. This paper provides the development of the traditional approach based on Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) into the prediction method based on the Artificial Neural Network (ANN). This research was conducted on a sample comprising 1,254 students of the University of Belgrade. The results show that Authority initiative had the most important influence and significance in predicting the perception of the Quality of E-learning during the pandemic. At the same time, the Information Security predictor had the most negligible impact. The findings contribute to the raising the academic community and policy-makers awareness to the necessity of dealing with quality in E-education to a greater extent, especially in emergencies such as pandemics. The suggested combination of constructs that predict the Quality of E-learning has never been analysed in previous research by applying SEM-ANN methodology, which represents the additional contribution of this study
OPTIMIZATION BASED DETERMINATION OF THE SET OF CONTINUOUS-STATE COMPONENTS CRITICAL TO THE MECHANICAL SYSTEM STATE
This paper proposes a new approach to determining the set of the most critical continuous-state components in continuous-state mechanical systems. Unlike traditional importance measures, which determine the criticality of individual components, our approach provides selection of the entire set of critical components. In addition, it enables determination of the minimal budget for achieving full or any required performance level of the mechanical system. We start from the continuum structure function and the system state definition through minimal cut sets. The problem defined in this paper is formulated as a determination of a set of components whose states maximize the system performance level under the budget constraint. Further, we prove that the solution of the formulated problem can be obtained based on the solution to a weighted minimal hitting set problem. The proposed approach is applied to a group of benchmark instances and the obtained results are compared to components’ rankings obtained by using traditional importance measures
APPLICATION OF SAP ARIBA SOFTWARE AS WEB EDI SOLUTION IN THE AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY
Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) presents a necessity for successful communication between stakeholders, enabling fast data interchange without human intervention. However, the Internet-based version of EDI, Web EDI, provides new business opportunities, especially for small and medium-sized companies. This paper presents the application of SAP Ariba software as a Web EDI solution in the company from the automotive industry from the Republic of Serbia. The aim of this paper is to emphasize the advantages of the application of Web EDI, as well as to present the importance and implementation process of SAP Ariba software as a Web EDI solution in the observed company. The intention of this paper is to present the significance of SAP Ariba software for small and medium-sized companies that are cooperating with companies from the automotive industry, in terms of acceptance and follow-up of automotive standards and requirements. This paper explains the connection and main cooperation process between two companies in the automotive industry with the usage of SAP Ariba software as a Web EDI solution. This paper is valuable for all companies that are considering the implementation of Web EDI, especially for ones that are cooperating with companies from the automotive industry
Backer Profiling: What Drives Engagement in Crowdfunding?
Crowdfunding represents a contemporary paradigm in project financing, wherein capital is sourced from a multitude of individuals, termed backers, via online platforms. Given the pivotal role of fundraising in project outcomes, comprehending backer attitudes assumes paramount significance. This study endeavours to delineate distinct backer profiles predicated on the underlying motives guiding their engagement in crowdfunding. To achieve this objective, empirical data was acquired through a structured questionnaire and subsequent analysis employing fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA) was undertaken. The findings of this investigation furnish insights into the heterogeneous nature of backer motivations, thus enabling the formulation of targeted recommendations for campaign creators aimed at effectively engaging diverse backer profiles
