    Economic analysis of the possibilities for business processes improvement in serbian dairy industry

    The objective of the research is to analyze the maturity model of business process management, evaluate the importance of the factors that form the basis of the model, as well as the mutual influence of certain factors on the level of maturity of business process management. In accordance with the set objective, a survey of 13 factors critical for the successful implementation of process orientation in dairy industry companies in the Republic of Serbia was conducted. A structured questionnaire containing 85 questions divided by factors and the use of Delphi method, enabled us to single out crucial factors, i.e. factors with a higher level of maturity. Based on the level of development of the observed factors and the correlation between these factors, a model was formed that can influence the increase in maturity of factors at a lower level

    Digital transformation has reshaped public administration by introducing e-government solutions that enhance efficiency, transparency, and accessibility of public services. This paper examines the transformation of public administration in Serbia through the implementation of the CEOP tool, specifically designed for issuing building permits. The study explores how digitalization facilitates streamlined processes, reduces bureaucratic delays, and improves overall service quality in public administration. The theoretical framework reviews key concepts of e-government and digital transformation, highlighting the challenges and benefits associated with the adoption of new technologies in the public sector. It also discusses the regulatory framework that guides the implementation of digital solutions in Serbia. The paper concludes that the digitalization of public administration via tools like CEOP is essential for building public trust and improving administrative efficiency. It recommends further integration of digital technologies and emphasizes the need for ongoing policy refinement and stakeholder engagement to sustain these advancements

    The Effectiveness of the Moodle Platform as a Tool for Online Student Assessment

    Distance learning, which became necessary due to the COVID-19 pandemic, led to an increased need for online knowledge assessment. This resulted in the adoption of various multimedia LMS platforms, such as Moodle. The aim of this study was to examine the effectiveness of the Moodle platform as a tool for online student testing within the course Methodology of Teaching Mathematics 1. The sample consisted of 30 third-year students of the Faculty of Education in Bijeljina, enrolled in the Primary Education program, who attended the course Methodology of Teaching Mathematics 1 during the summer semester of the 2020/2021 academic year. Content analysis showed that 61% of the participants achieved a passing grade, which confirms that the use of the Moodle platform for distance learning yields positive results in online student assessment. This study contributes to the understanding of the role of multimedia LMS platforms in higher education and highlights the importance of pedagogically designed online activities for the development of future mathematics teachers’ competencies

    Microplastics in agroecosystems : A barrier to soil health and crop productivity

    Healthy soil is the foundation for sustainable agriculture to produce stable and safe yields. Microplastics in agroecosystems affect multiple processes: they disrupt soil structure, alter water and element content, modify soil chemistry, and interfere with microbiological activities. At the same time, agriculture is also the biggest polluter of microplastics. Therefore, agricultural practices that use plastic materials are contrary to the principles of sustainability. This paper aims to give an overview of the consequences of microplastics in the soil on agricultural systems. Also, the results of alternative materials in the soil were presented to determine if the use of these materials instead of plastic can be considered to be sustainable

    Sažetakt: Cilj ovog istraživanja je analiza zadovoljstva korisnika turističkim uslugama u Republici Srbiji. Ova studija je empirijski testirala odnos između kvaliteta usluge, zadovoljstva kupaca, ponašanja potrošača turističkih usluga i turizma. Istraživanje je sprovedeno na 109 ispitanika na osnovu upitnika koji je posebno kreiran za ovu priliku i distribuiran ličnim intervijuom, čime je ostvaren bolji kontakt između ispitivača i ispitanika. Pitanja su zatvorenog tipa sa nekoliko alternativnih odgovora u prvom delu, odnosno u okviru demografskih pitanja. U drugom delu ankete ispitanici su ocenili dvadeset i jedan stav, koji su postavljeni na Likertovoj skali. Na osnovu dobijenih rezultata, autori su dali preporuke značajne kako za naučnu zajednicu, tako i za širu čitalačku publiku. Rezultati ove studije mogu se koristiti kao smernice za državne organe, turističke radnike i druge zainteresovane strane u turističkoj industriji. Proširenje podele koristi, utemeljenija konkurencija koja proizilazi iz globalizacije i deregulacije, i porast neiskorišćenih inovacija podataka ubrzali su kretanje ka ekonomiji zasnovanoj na znanju i inovacijama. Sa sve većim udelom turizma u svetskoj ekonomiji i sve većom konkurencijom u okviru svetske turističke branše, značaj kreiranja kvalitetnih turističkih proizvoda prepoznali su i državni i privatni segmenti turizma. U dogovoru o razvoju kvalitetnog turizma, organizacije treba da znaju koja je njihova konkurentska prednost i koje sposobnosti imaju da razviju i održe korak. Poenta ovog rada je da se analizira zadovoljstvo klijenata u okviru turističke ponude u uređenju zahteva za vrhunskim kvalitetom i inventivnom administracijom. Turistička industrija je globalna delatnost koja se razvija na nezavisan i decentralizovan način. Industrija raste i sazreva, čineći je profesionalnijom. Tokom proteklih decenija, turizam je kombinovao organizacije sa srodnim aktivnostima u sveobuhvatniju industriju. Definicija turizma je kratkoročno preseljenje korisnika turističkih usluga van njihovog posla ili prebivališta. Aktivnosti koje ljudi obavljaju tokom boravka na odredištu podrazumeva korrišćenje usluga službi i institucija stvorenih da zadovolje potrebe ovih ljudi. Prema mišljenju, turistička industrija je višestruka jedinstvena industrija, uključujući karaktere, aktivnosti i objekte, u kombinaciji sa javnošću. Svrha ove studije je da se diskutuje o značaju kvaliteta usluge i zadovoljstva kupaca u turističkoj industriji, kao i da se dalje objasni šest ključnih elemenata faktora uspeha u turističkoj industriji.The objective of this research is, to analyze customer satisfaction with tourist services in the Republic of Serbia. This study empirically tested the relationship between service quality, customer satisfaction, behavioral intenti ons, and tourism. The research was conducted on 109 respondents based on a questionnaire that was specially created for this occasion and was distributed by personal examination, thus achieving better contact between the examiner and the respondents. The questions are of a closed type with several alternative answers in the first part, i.e. within the demographic questions. In the second part of the survey, respondents evaluated twenty-one attitudes, which were set on a Likert scale Based on the obtained results, the authors made recommendations that are significant both for the scientific community and for the wider readership. The results of this study can be used as a guideline for government agencies, tourism industries, and other stakeholders in the tourism industry. Danas, imajući u vidu specifične pojave u životnoj sredini, štetne uticaje, nekontrolisane i neprilago ene primene mineralnih ubriva, nove zahteve sa kojima se savremena poljoprivreda suočava, rast ljudske populacije i, iznad svega, a u isto vreme, važnost i nužnost optimalne ishrane gajenih biljaka u cilju obezbe enja dovoljnih količina kvalitetne hrane, ono postaje posebno značajno i zahteva sistemski pristup. U takvim okolnostima, razumevanje mehanizma usvajanja hraniva od strane gajenih biljaka i njihove osnovne uloge, kao i identifikacija genotipova i vrsta efikasnih u usvajanju i iskorišćavanju hraniva, prilago enih gajenju u uslovima suboptimalne obezbe enosti hranivima, je posebno značajno za optimizaciju sistema ishrane biljaka.     “Are You Talking to Me?”: multimodalni semiotički pristup jezičkom pejzažu

    Linguistic Landscape is most widely accepted to represent “the visibility and salience of languages on public and commercial signs in a given territory or region” (Landry & Bourhis, 1997: 23). Interdisciplinary approach to linguistics at the beginning of the XXI century caused this area of sociolinguistic studies to thrive. Research has mostly been directed towards multilingual spaces in order to show multiple relations between how languages are employed in a specific territory and how they serve specific symbolic functions. In this paper I argue that Multimodal Semiotic approach to communication based on Social Semiotic Theory serves as suitable lenses for researching Linguistic Landscape as a specific socially engaged discourse. Multimodal Semiotic approach redefines discourse as a socially constructed meaning on specific aspects of reality which is achieved through multiple modalities. Each modality engages three different levels of communicative metafunctions: representation, interaction and composition. Thus, discourse is constructed as a socially engaged process in which all the modalities and their respective metafunctions constantly interact in creating meaning (Hodge & Kress, 1988: 5-6; Kress & van Leeuwen, 2006: 24-25). As a result, Linguistic Landscape will be presented as a multimodal discourse making use of both linguistic and visual resources for creating meaning. Next, it will be argued that Multimodal Semiotic Analysis provides necessary methodological tools for researching and analysing Linguistic Landscape on three different levels of multimodal communicative metafunctions. Finally, it is concluded that the above-mentioned interdisciplinary approach to Linguistic Landscape provides opportunities for dealing with specific burning issues in sociolinguistics such as language and gender, language and political power, language policies etc. by focusing not only on what is represented in the public signs in a specific territory but also on who these public signs are intended for.Jezički pejzaž se najčešće definiše kao „vidljivost i značaj jezika na javnim i komercijalnim oznakama na određenoj teritoriji ili u određenom regionu” (Landry & Bourhis 1997: 23). Interdisciplinarni pristup lingvistici s početka XXI veka omogućio je procvat ove oblasti sociolingvističkih istraživanja. Istraživanja su uglavnom usmerena na višejezične prostore kako bi se pokazale višestruke veze između načina na koji se jezici koriste na određenoj teritoriji i njihovih specifičnih simboličkih funkcija. Ovaj rad tvrdi da multimodalni semiotički pristup komunikaciji, zasnovan na teoriji socijalne semiotike, pruža odgovarajuće okvire za istraživanje jezičkog pejsaža kao specifičnog društveno angažovanog diskursa. Multimodalni semiotički pristup redefiniše diskurs kao društveno konstruisano značenje o specifičnim aspektima stvarnosti koje se ostvaruje kroz više modaliteta. Svaki modalitet uključuje tri različita nivoa komunikativnih metafunkcija: reprezentaciju, interakciju i kompoziciju. Tako se diskurs konstituiše kao društveno angažovan proces u kojem svi modaliteti i njihove pripadajuće metafunkcije stalno međusobno interreaguju u stvaranju značenja (Hodge & Kress 1988: 5–6; Kress & Van Leeuwen 2006: 24–25). Jezički pejzaž će biti predstavljen kao multimodalni diskurs koji koristi i lingvističke i vizuelne resurse za stvaranje značenja. Nakon toga će biti pokazano da multimodalna semiotička analiza pruža neophodne metodološke alate za istraživanje i analizu jezičkog pejzaža na tri različita nivoa multimodalnih komunikativnih metafunkcija.     Upitnik kognitivne regulacije emocija (CERQ): provera strukturne i konvergentne validnosti na srpskom uzorku

    Osnovni cilj ovog istraživanja bio je provera psihometrijskih karakteristika, odnosno strukturne i konvergentne validnosti prevoda Upitnika kognitivne regulacije emocija (CERQ) na srpski jezik, i to kroz dve sukcesivne i nezavisne studije. U Studiji 1, na uzorku od 674 mlada odrasla ispitanika (Mstarost = 19.68, SD = 1.29), proverena je stukturna validnost CERQ putem evaluacije teorijski pretpostavljene devetokomponentne strukture metodama konfirmativne faktorske analize i eksploratornog modelovanja strukturalnih jednačina. Studija 2 imala je kao cilj ponovno testiranje modela dobijenog u prethodnoj studiji na uzorku od 703 ispitanika (Mstarost = 22.96, SD = 7.05). Dodatno, proveravana je konvergentna validnost CERQ ispitivanjem povezanosti sa merama pozitivnog i negativnog afekta, zadovoljstva životom i opšte uznemirenosti. Rezultati su pokazali da CERQ predstavlja pouzdanu i validnu meru kognitivnih strategija regulacije emocija. Latentnu strukturu upitnika najbolje opisuje model koji sadrži devet teorijski očekivanih dimenzija, ali u dimenziji pozitivne preformulacije oba uzorka pokazuju iste strukturne specifičnosti, koje sugerišu dodatnu proveru kako samog instrumenta, tako i specifičnosti kognitivnih strategija regulacije emocija na našem kulturnom području.     Addressing foreign language anxiety in EFL classrooms: interventions to enhance the student performance and engagement

    Foreign Language Anxiety (FLA) is a situation-specific anxiety experienced by many language learners, characterized by nervousness and fear when using or learning a foreign language, which can hinder their academic progress and reduce their willingness to communicate in the target language. FLA can arise from a mix of individual, social, and situational factors, such as fear of making mistakes, peer pressure, or high-stakes evaluations. These anxieties result in reduced participation, self-doubt, and avoidance behaviors. This paper investigates a range of interventions to reduce FLA in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) classrooms and assesses their effectiveness in improving student performance. Our review paper highlights the most effective strategies for reducing FLA and enhancing ESL students' learning experiences and academic success. Interventions like mindfulness, collaborative learning, and teacher support can effectively reduce FLA by creating a more relaxed and supportive learning environment. Additionally, using technology and personalized strategies helps learners manage anxiety, boosting confidence and engagement. By recognizing and addressing these emotional obstacles, educators can create a more supportive learning environment for language learning.Anksioznost u učenju stranog jezika (Foreign Language Anxiety, FLA) je situaciona anksioznost koju mnogi učenici jezika doživljavaju, a karakteriše je nervoza i strah prilikom korišćenja ili učenja stranog jezika, što može ometati njihov akademski napredak i smanjiti spremnost za komunikaciju na ciljnom jeziku. FLA može nastati kao rezultat mešavine individualnih, socijalnih i situacionih faktora, poput straha od grešaka, pritiska vršnjaka ili evaluacija s visokim ulogom. Ovi strahovi dovode do smanjenog učešća, sumnje u sebe i izbegavajućeg ponašanja. Ovaj rad istražuje različite intervencije za smanjenje FLA u učionicama engleskog kao drugog jezika (ESL) i procenjuje njihovu efikasnost u unapređenju uspeha učenika. Naš pregledni rad naglašava najefikasnije strategije za smanjenje FLA i poboljšanje iskustava učenja i akademskog uspeha ESL učenika. Intervencije poput mindfulness-a, kolaborativnog učenja i podrške nastavnika mogu efikasno smanjiti FLA stvaranjem opuštenijeg i podržavajućeg okruženja za učenje. Takođe, korišćenje tehnologije i personalizovanih strategija pomaže učenicima da se nose s anksioznošću, povećavajući samopouzdanje i angažovanost. Prepoznavanjem i rešavanjem ovih emocionalnih prepreka, nastavnici mogu stvoriti podržavajuće okruženje za učenje jezika
