Get PDFapplication/pdf本稿の目的は,オーストラリアにおいて認知症支援を担っているDementia Australiaの支援活動について紹介し,我が国の診断後の軽度認知症の人の支援について考察することである．まずはオーストラリア全土での活動を担っているDementia Australiaの活動を紹介する.次にニューサウスウェールズ州における診断後の軽度認知症の人に対する支援プログラムについて紹介する．本稿に示す情報は,2019年7月Dementia Australia への視察訪問時に得られた資料及び各部署の担当者へのヒアリングとDementia Australia のホームページから得た．Dementia Australiaの活動は認知症の人や支援者である家族や友人,地域住民,専門職者などを対象に時代のニーズに応じた知識や情報の提供から,認知症とともに生活することを支える活動であった.診断後の軽度認知症の人を対象とした心理教育プログラムは,各々が認知症とともに生活する中で直面する身体・心理・社会的問題に対応する力を治療的なグループを活用することで育んでいた．我が国においても診断後の軽度認知症の人への個別対応や治療的な心理教育グループを提供できる専門職者チームによる体制づくりが望まれる.The purpose of this paper is to introduce Dementia Australia and to consider support systems for people with mild dementia diagnosed in Japan. This article introduces Dementia Australia's activities across Australia and support programs for people with mild dementia who have been diagnosed with dementia in New South Wales. The information presented in this paper was gathered from materials obtained during the inspection visit to Dementia Australia in July 2019, interviews with the person in charge of each department, and the website of Dementia Australia. Dementia Australia's activities are aimed at people with dementia and their supporters such as family members, friends, local residents, and professionals, by providing knowledge and information that meets the needs of the times and supporting people living with dementia. A psychoeducational program for people with mild dementia after diagnosis nurtures the ability to deal with the physical, psychological, and social problems they face while living with dementia by utilizing therapeutic groups. In Japan it is also desirable to develop a system that can provide individual support from a team of specialists who can develop support from physical and psychosocial aspects after the diagnosis of dementia, and also therapeutic group activities
