Improvement of lesson content for education of children with illnesses n teacher training : Focusing on the diverse educational needs of children with illnesses
application/pdfEducation for children with illnesses is conducted in various learning places, including special support schools for children with illnesses , special support classes for children with illnesses and physical weakness, and regular classes for elementary and junior high schools. Currently, in the education of children with illnesses , the number of independent special support schools for children with illnesses is decreasing and the number of schools in parallel is increasing, the length of hospital stays are shortening and becoming infrequent, illnesses and disabilities are diversified, and psychosomatic disorders and mental illnesses are increasing. There are many issues such as responding to school attendance and support for children returning to school. In this article,based on the current issues of education for children with illnesses , we focused on the diverse educational needs of children with illnesses and considered the content of the education for such children

Report on an Open Class “General Theory of the Contents of Child Care”: Consideration of the class which can improve students’ child understanding
application/pdfIn this research note, I reported on the open class, which was held at the Department of Child Care, Takamatsu Junior College on 7/22/2020. In this class, we reflected and organized what we had learned in the previous classes, then tried to improve our understanding of children. The research question of this note was whether this class could make the students improve their understanding of children.
First, in this note, I described my thoug hts as a lecturer of the course “General Theory of the Contents of Child Care.” Secondly, I reflected the contents of the class, then summarized students' understanding by referencing what they had written down on their worksheets.
Finally, based on sugges tions which came from colleagues who observed the class and attended the follow up meeting, I examined the contents, methods and so on of this class, and summarized the topics and directions which became clear

A Consideration on the Practice of Reading Stories to Children in Story-telling Events
application/pdfThe purpose of this paper is to clarify the significance of‘Ohanashi Kai’,or story-telling events, an activity of reading to children. The National Curriculum Standard for Kindergartens (2017) states in “the Ideal Image by the End of Childhood” that “children will enjoy communicating through words as they become familiar with picture books and stories while communicating with their teachers and friends through words [1],” indicating the importance of interactive relationships.
