A Study on Students' Image of Sports through Quantitative Text Analysis
Get PDFapplication/pdfThe purpose of this study is to clarify students' images of sports through quantitative text analysis, and to obtain data that will be useful for teaching practice. For this purpose, we conducted a survey of students taking sports practice classes at Takamatsu university and collected and analyzed free description data regarding their sports image. As a result, it was found that the students mainly had a positive image of sports, particularly, "fun" was the most frequently used word. This suggests that for students to become lifelong sports practitioners, it is important to strengthen, deepen, and amplify their positive sports image, and to this end, it is necessary to develop classes that allow students to experience a greater variety of "fun"
Basic Research on J-League Players’ Past Teams
Get PDFapplication/pdfThe purpose of this study was to quantitatively identify the relationship between J-League players' former teams and current divisions, and to discuss the outcomes and issues in player development. Therefore, this study analyzed 1,973 J-League players for the 2022 season. The main findings are: 1) that a relatively high percentage of high school graduates belong to J1 and J2 teams, university graduates to J2 and J3 teams, and players with amateur or overseas experience to J3 teams, 2) that a large number of players belonged to J academies or regional clubs in the U-15 season, and 3) that a large number of players belonged to J academies or private high schools in the U-18 season. Based on these results, it is argued that future research should clarify the career patterns of J-League players in their developmental years and focus on those who did not become J-League players
