Issues and Developments of the Government's Dowa Policy
application/pdfIn the first half of Article 14 Paragraph I of the Japanese Constitution, it is solemnly declared that all people are equal under the law and that there shall be no discrimination in political, economic or social relations because of race, creed, sex, social status or family origin. Therefore the Constitution explicitely prohibits all forms of discrimination based on social status, including discrimination against Buraku people. Although it was originally sopposed to embody the objective of Article 14 in the legislation, this long-held vision has yet to become reality. There are concerned about the persisting de jure and de facto discrimination against minolity groups, and inparticular against the Buraku communities, the indigenous Ainu people, and peopie Korean descent. However, recent human rights policies are beginning to show some signs of change: 1) Government's Dowa policy 2) Human rights education and public awareness-raising 3) Creation of a system to rehabilitate and redress the injuries suffered by victims

The Effect of Evaluation Apprehension on Students Ratings of Teaching. - When students have no evaluation apprehension for the teacher -
application/pdfThis study was designed to examine the effects of evaluation apprehension on students ratings of teaching and student self-ratings. This study targeted a single lecture by a guest instructor who has nothing to do with grading the students taking this course. Ninety undergraduate students took part in a survey by completing a questionnaire. Forty-five students filled out the questionnaire signed, and the rest of the students filled the questionnaire out anonymously. The signed ratings of teaching and anonymous ratings of teaching were compared. It was hypothesized that there was no difference in student ratings of teaching between two kinds of ratings because the students do not have evaluation apprehension. The results were as follows : (1) There was no difference in ratings of teaching between an anonymous questionnaire and a signed questionnaire. (2) There was no difference in student self-ratings in class between those two kinds of ratings. These results supported the hypothesis

application/pdfThis study was designed to research on the breakups in heterosexual romantic relationships. This study targeted the Japanese young people who have experienced the breakups. Three hundreds and forty-four undergraduate students took part in a survey by completing a questionnaire. The results were as follows : (1) Many young couples break up their romantic relationships in March. In those cases, Males tend to say good-bye to females. (2) Many young couples have the last meeting about their breakup from 9:00 p.m. to 11: 00 p.m.. (3) Young couples break up their romantic relationships mainly because of their gaps in values. However, males tend to break up their relationships because they have other lovers, and female tend to break up because they come to dislike their lovers

Included is a discussion of major influences to their theories. application/pdfA purpose of this study aims at Chugoku and Shikoku college handball league, puts a focus by the game of Takamatsu University handball team, and observes a characteristic of attack by analyzing the game with VTR, and is that recognize a new subject. The result can be summarized as follows. 1) Attack frequency is 61. 4 times on average of all games. 2) The frequency of swift attack of Takamatsu University was 157 times, and other university was 47 times, and there was more attack frequency of Takamatsu University 3 times than that of other university. 3) Attack success rate and shot success rate of Takamatsu University were 58.0%, 58.7%, and those of other university were 19.2%, 36.0%, and those of Takamatsu University exceeded it more greatly than other university. 4) Failure frequency and failure rate of attack of Takamatsu-University were 52 times. 5) There were many score by a swift attack both Takamatsu University and other university, and a score of swift attack is 44. 4% in case of Takamatsu University.
