Analysis of the Western-style bookkeeping textbooks used by the Ministry of Finance in the Early Meiji Era
application/pdfThe aim of this research was to reveal the introduction of Western style bookkeeping (double-entry bookkeeping)into the Ministry of Finance in the early Meiji Era, by analyzing and comparing these textbooks(Nichiyo-Boki-Ho(A Method on Bookkeeping), the manuscript Jinjyo-Boki-Ho, the original(Hutton’s textbook of bookkeeping), and the first Western style bookkeeping textbook published by the Ministry of Finance Ginko Boki-Seiho(A Detailed Treatise on Bank Bookkeeping)), and going over the context of these texts published.
As a result of this analysis, it was deemed that Nichiyo-Boki-Ho and Jinjyo-Boki-Ho didn’t supplement some obscure explanations in Ginko-Boki-Seiho. But, these textbooks fulfilled a definite role of introducing the basic concepts of double-entry bookkeeping.
According to the educational institution of the Ministry of Finance timetable, students learned the basic bookkeeping by using these texts before they studied the applied concepts of bank bookkeeping, using Ginko-Boki-Seiho. Therefore, it was conjectured that students could more easily understand the bank bookkeeping, which is one of the main courses in the school
Practical business education through problem solving learning in a Secretarial Department
application/pdfThe Japanese year Heisei 25, or 2013, was the first year after the introduction of the new Course of Study for high schools, under which practical business education was introduced. In higher education, a high quality of education for undergraduate courses is now required. Furthermore, emphasis has been placed on the new Active Learning style of learning which encourages students to study more actively, or assertively, in class. Taking this into consideration, this academic year the Secretarial Department has reformed its curriculum for Practical Business Education and has begun to employ active learning in this course.
In this paper, we first examine the teaching contents of the departmentʼs Introduction to Practical Business Education course that is taught by utilizing learning through problem solving. This is one of the types of active learning at the department. This paper then discusses the effects and problems we encountered in carrying out these changes. Results indicate that there were positive results for the Practical Business Education course in implementing this type of problem solving learning
The movement characeristics in handball games and daily technical training of Takamatsu University handball team
application/pdfThe purpose of our study was to design training programs close to handball game in Takamatsu University handball team, by measuring movement distance, maximum running speed and number of sprints(① 10.8Km/h ~ , ② 7.0Km/h ~ 10.8Km/h)in handball game and daily technical training.
The main results were as follows
1)In handball game of our team, movement distance and maximum running speed of CenterBack were the longest in the other positions. This was considered that our tactics and personal characteristics of CenterBack were closely related.
2)Movement distance, maximum running speed and number of sprints of CenterBack were higher even in daily technical training.
3)The comparison of game and daily technical training, movement distance, maximum running speed and number of sprints ① of daily technical training were higher than game. So in daily technical training we could design training programs close to the game situation. But number of sprints ② of daily technical training was less than game. This result indicated that we should take care to put pressure and accurately to estimate the situation in every play in daily technical training

A Research for Image Composition Technology by using Homography Matrix
application/pdfThis research proposes a new image composition technology using a homography matrix. In image composition, a method for dividing an image into foreground and background and replacing the area of background with a different image is generally. But, big surface with the homogeneous color is necessary for this method. Therefore, environment which can be used is restricted.
So, in this research, the homography matrix calculated from each images taken by two cameras is used. Without needing big surface with the homogeneous color, I think that it is possible to compose an image casually into a room. As the 1st step, we try to evaluate the accuracy of extracting the background area by experiments in this paper
A Study of the way of communication and teaching in Business Education.
application/pdfIn commercial education (business education) in Japan, we have not developed students’ communication skills well enough to meet the demands and the expectations of companies and the society of the times. In the future commercial education (business education), it will be necessary to deal with the contents which further emphasize developing students’ communication skills. In classes, we should intentionally and positively create scenes where students can communicate with teachers and each other by increasing the opportunities for the students to speak and express themselves. It is necessary to incorporate language activities into commercial classes in which students can deepen their interests in a language and understand the “role of a language”

One consideration on the roles and the methods of “drawing and manual art” education
application/pdfThe objectives of “drawing and manual art” education have changed with the passage of time. The philosophy by Herbert Lead - the objective of “drawing and manual art” education is to cultivate learners’ creativity, personality and sentiment in developing expressive abilities – has been succeeding until now. That is the most important objective in “drawing and manual art” teaching.
According to Brunner’s concept, the main role of teacher is to encourage students to participate in their study actively. This concept has given suggestions to active learning which is now very popular. I believe“drawing and manual art” education has an important role of cultivating sensitivity for the formation of character through many kinds of teaching activities
