No full textPendant près d’un siècle et demi, la production littéraire du tournant des Lumières et de la Restauration a été regardée avec un mépris dédaigneux par l’Histoire littéraire. Jugé nauséabonde par les uns, insignifiante par les autres (Lanson en parle comme d’ « un poids mort de notre littérature » !), ou pire encore, inexistante, ce demi-siècle de création (1780-1830, pour fixer des balises confortable mais simplement indicatives) a été effacé du patrimoine culturel français, sans autre forme de procès. Fort heureusement, depuis quelques dizaines d’années, les historiens de la littérature portent un regard neuf sur les œuvres méconnues et malmenées qui ont été publiées, et lues souvent avec avidité, dans un Ancien Régime finissant autant qu’à l’aube du grand XIXe siècle. Oblitérés par le spectre de la Révolution tout autant que par la gloire romantique, victimes d’une lecture anachronique de critiques aveuglés par une fascination irraisonnée pour les « génies » – fussent-ils contemporains et parfois proches des auteurs rejetés de façon péremptoire –, ces romans méritaient pourtant un autre sort. Ils prennent aujourd’hui leur revanche et regagnent, peu à peu, la place qui leur revient dans les études universitaires. Fruit de rencontres liées à l’élaboration de la base de données Cat19 (https://cat19.ee.ulb.be/fr), projet porté par Valérie André (FRS/FNRS-ULB) et Catriona Seth (University of Oxford), ce volume entend apporter sa pierre à l’édifice. Il rassemble des contributions de spécialistes internationaux du roman français publié entre 1800 et1830 qui, tous à leur manière, s’efforcent de corriger l’erreur de jugement qui a trop longtemps conduit à l’ignorer.0info:eu-repo/semantics/inPres

No full textThis article focuses on Han Kangbo 韓康伯 (332-380/385 CE) exegetical works on the Zhouyi 周易, especially his commentary on the Xici Zhuan 繫辭傳. It aims at developing a philosophical reading of three key terms of the Changes exegetical tradition: dao 道, taiji 太極, and shen 神. Although Han’s works represent a major step within the history of Changes exegesis, he seems to have been an overlooked thinker, simply regarded as a follower of Wang Bi 王弼 (226-249). In this article, I intend to show that Han elaborates original reading of the above-mentioned terms. The Performance of the Organisation of American States and the African Union in Democracy Protection
No full textThis chapter aims to analyse the performance of the Organisation of American States (OAS) and the African Union (AU) in democracy protection. We investigate the similarities and differences in the institutional trajectory of the agenda of democracy protection, as well as the performance of both regional organisations on the topic. Considering the relevance of the episodes, the availability of sources (particularly in relation to the AU cases), and the objectives of this chapter, we will analyse two episodes of democracy breakdown within the domain of each organisation. In the case of OAS, we will assess the cases of Honduras (2009) and Venezuela (2012–2022), cases that involve actions and challenges for the operationalisation of measures related to democracy protection. In the case of the AU, focus is given to the crises in Sudan (2019) and Mali (2020), cases that resulted in AU’s actions with different instruments. Nous présenterons les résultats d’une enquête menée en Belgique francophone auprès de 940 enseignants du supérieur sur leurs perception et attentes quant aux compétences informationnelles des étudiants à l'entrée, en cours et à la sortie des études supérieures. L'objectif de cette mini-conférence participative est de confronter les résultats de l'enquête aux perceptions des participants, en leur soumettant certaines des questions (via Wooclap) et de confronter leurs réponses à celles des enseignants, en vue d'enclencher un débat sur les modalités de mise en œuvre de nos programmes et activités de formation.info:eu-repo/semantics/publishe
IL-4 induces CD22 expression to restrain the effector program of virtual memory T cells.
No full textParasitic helminths induce the production of interleukin-4 (IL-4), which causes the expansion of virtual memory CD8+ T cells (TVM cells), a cell subset that contributes to the control of coinfection with intracellular pathogens. However, the mechanisms regulating IL-4-dependent TVM cell activation and expansion remain ill defined. Here, we used single-cell RNA sequencing of CD8+ T cells to identify pathways that control IL-4-dependent TVM cell responses. Gene signature analysis of CD8+ T cells identified a cell cluster marked by CD22, a canonical regulator of B cell activation, as a selective surface marker of IL-4-induced TVM cells. CD22+ TVM cells were enriched for interferon-γ and granzyme A and retained a diverse TCR repertoire while enriched in self-reactive CDR3 sequences. CD22 intrinsically regulated the IL-4-induced CD8+ T cell effector program, resulting in reduced responsiveness of CD22+ TVM cells and regulatory functions to infection and inflammation.
