It examines the background and exercise of this function since 2018, evaluating compliance with the obligation to report evidence of anti-competitive conduct to the National Economic Prosecutor’s Office, and proposes alternatives to strengthen the independence and continuity of this work.Este artículo analiza la evolución de la función de monitoreo de la competencia del mercado eléctrico, asignada al Coordinador Eléctrico Nacional. Se examinan los antecedentes y el ejercicio de esta función desde 2018, evaluando el cumplimiento de la obligación de reportar indicios de conductas anticompetitivas a la Fiscalía Nacional Económica. Asimismo, se proponen alternativas para fortalecer la independencia y continuidad en el ejercicio de esta función

Perspectiva transnacional como educación para la paz en Mistral
Get PDFThis article examines Gabriela Mistral’s peace-oriented perspective through her proposal to forge cultural communities that transcend the confines ofbelligerent nationalisms. To this end, Mistral exhorts us to relinquish the Eurocentric mindset that inhabits us, thus inviting us to embrace a renewedengagement with the great Latin American intellectuals. Concurrently, the poet urges us to imagine ourselves beyond the North American model of “BlondAmerica” and its logic of appropriation. This “transnational” outlook permeates both her prose and her poetry, sketching a sensibility which is different fromthe conventions of martial epic. To substantiate this interpretation, three of Mistral’s works are analyzed: “El grito” (“The Cry,” 1922), “Menos cóndor y máshuemul” (“Less Condor and More Huemul,” 1925), and “Agua” (“Water,” 1938).Este artículo aborda la perspectiva mistraliana por la paz, desde su propuesta de creación de comunidades culturales que trasciendan el marco de los nacionalismos bélicos. Para lograr este propósito, Mistral exhorta a abandonar la conciencia eurocéntrica que nos habita, invitándonos a volver sobre los grandes intelectuales latinoamericanos. Junto con lo anterior, la poeta nos impulsa a pensarnos fuera del modelo norteamericano, de la “América rubia”, y su lógica de apropiación. Esta mirada “transnacional” de la escritora se inscribe tanto en sus textos en prosa como en sus textos poéticos y dibujan una sensibilidad diferente de la épica bélica. Para demostrar esta interpretación, se abordan tres textos de Mistral: “El grito” (1922), “Menos cóndor y más huemul” (1925) y “Agua” (1938)
Compartilhando o sonho americano no TikTok: as representações sociais dos latino-americanos sobre a migração.
Get PDFLatin American migrants have found a great ally in digital media to organize their ressetlement, access key information, and connect with support networks. Through their daily digital networking, they have built virtual communities to stay in touch with their culture in their home countries. These communities foster the construction of collective visions, meanings and representations about their conditions, context and status as migrants. This article aims to understand how Latin Americans have created social representations (SR) about migration in social media related to the American dream by analyzing the audiovisual discourse in videos created, commented, and shared on TikTok. We found that social interaction between users of this platform creates a collective representation associated with latent promises of prosperity, but also with potential risks, dangers and disappointment about migration to the United States.Latin American migrants have found a great ally in digital media to organize their ressetlement, access key information, and connect with support networks. Por meio de uma interconexão digital diária, eles construíram comunidades virtuais para permanecerem conectados à cultura de seu país de origem. Essas comunidades promovem a construção de visões, significados e representações coletivas sobre suas condições, contexto e status como migrantes. Este artigo tem como objetivo compreender como os latino-americanos constroem representações sociais (RS) sobre migração nas redes sociais, particularmente em torno do sonho americano, por meio da análise do discurso audiovisual em vídeos criados, comentados e compartilhados no TikTok. Observa-se que a interação social entre usuários nessa plataforma origina uma representação coletiva que mistura promessas latentes de prosperidade, mas também riscos potenciais, perigos e um sentimento de desencanto frente à migração para os Estados Unidos
Percepción de los estudiantes de traducción sobre la traducción automática neuronal
Get PDFThe launch of the online neural machine translation (NMT) tool from DeepL in 2017 has revolutionized the translation world. As a result, many translation students have started to use it indiscriminately, without taking into account the weaknesses that this online translator brings with it. The learners unanimously stated that this tool produces quality texts. To see if DeepL really translates with higher quality parameters than a human translator, the lecturer conducted an experiment with students of the back translation subject Spanish-German, taught in the last year of the Bachelor of Translation and Interpretation at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. For this purpose, the participants have been divided into two groups, with the aim of post-editing the translation of DeepL, as well as the translation of the same text but without technological assistance. This article presents both, the performed activity as well as its results and the conclusions that can be drawn from this didactic exercise.El lanzamiento de la herramienta de traducción automática neuronal (TAN) en línea de DeepL en 2017 ha revolucionado el mundo de la traducción. Tanto es así que muchos estudiantes del grado de Traducción e Interpretación han comenzado a utilizarla de forma habitual, sin tener en cuenta las debilidades que este traductor en línea puede traer consigo. De forma unánime los aprendientes defienden que esta herramienta produce textos de calidad. Para ver si DeepL realmente traduce con parámetros de calidad superiores a las de un traductor humano, la docente ha realizado un experimento con estudiantes de la asignatura de traducción inversa español-alemán, del último curso del grado de Traducción e Interpretación de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Para ello, se ha dividido a los participantes en dos grupos: uno tendrá como objetivo la posedición de la traducción de DeepL, y el otro, la traducción sin ayuda tecnológica. En este artículo se presenta tanto dicha actividad como sus resultados y las conclusiones que se pueden extraer de este ejercicio didáctico
Creativity and social networks in English language learning: a systematic literature review
Get PDFThis systematic review explores the intersection of creativity, social networks, and English language learning, with a focus on how multimodal content creation impacts learner motivation and linguistic development. Following the PRISMA guidelines, 25 peer-reviewed studies published between 2021 and 2025 were selected from the Scopus and Web of Science databases. Inclusion criteria focused on empirical studies related to English as a foreign language, creativity, motivation, and the use of social networks in educational contexts. The findings reveal that social media platforms—particularly Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube— positively influence learner motivation, engagement, and linguistic competence through creative tasks such as video production, storytelling, memes, and infographics. These tasks foster collaborative learning, digital literacy, and self-expression. However, the assessment of linguistic and creative outcomes remains a challenge due to the lack of standardized frameworks. Social networks offer multimodal, interactive, and learner-centered environments that enhance English language learning. Future research should focus on developing reliable evaluation methods and exploring how social media can be systematically integrated into formal language education
