方言論争一考察
No full text沖縄県学務部と民芸協会の柳宗悦との間で繰り広げられた方言論争は、政治・社会・文化と多方面にわたって、錯綜した問題を提議した。事大主義による沖縄の日本への同化政策のなかで進められる標準語励行は、方言を文化として捉える民芸協会側と激しくぶつかることになる。この論争をとおして、琉球人の抱える近代化と言語の苦悩が明らかになった。それは戦後沖縄の国語教育につながる問題点を内包するものでもあったのである。As for the dialect controversy between Okinawa Prefecture School Affairs Division and Souetsu Yanagi from folkcraft society, proposed some complicated problems to the politics, society, culture, and others. パーソナリティ特性の評定－パーソナリティ認知の心理測定的研究－
No full text本研究は､パーソナリティ表現に用いられる特性語について対人的な好ましさの観点から検討を試みたものである｡予備調査によって425のパーソナリティ特性語のうち熟知度､使用頻度の高い140項目を選択した後､大学生120名､看護学生110名による好意度評定を行った｡その結果､最も好意的に評価された特性は｢心の広い｣｢信頼できる｣であり､最も非好意的に評価された特性は｢うそつき｣｢だます｣であった｡このように基本的な信頼関係を重視する傾向は､同性の親友､恋人､大学教員を想定させた場合にも同様に認められた｡好意度評定に関する因子分析の結果､『社交性』『自己中心性』『信望』『消極性』『軽率さ』『情緒的安定性』の6つの因子が見いだされた｡This study investigates personality-trait words in terms of likableness rating. The Subjects consisted of 120 university students and 110 nurse training school students. They were asked to rate 140 personality-trait words on likableness as personality characteristics. These had been previously selected by other subjects from a list of 425 trait words as being both understood and commonly used. The two most favorable trait words were "open-minded" and "reliable", and the least were "liar" and "deceitful". This reliability-related emphasis was supported by the results obtained when the subjects were asked to imagine the trait words being applied to a close friend, lover or university teacher. In factor analysis of the likableness ratings of these personality trait words, six factors were extracted and named as follows: sociability, self-centricity, confidence, passivity, carelessness, emotional stability.departmental bulletin pape
The Discovery of Wordsworth in Japan: Wordsworth as a Moral Teacher
No full textIn the 20s of the Meiji period (1887-1896) Wordsworth was the most popular English Romantic poet especially among the Christian leaders of Japan. Yoshiharu Iwamoto (1863-1943), Sohō Tokutomi (1863-1957), Kanzō Uchimura (1861-1930) and Masahisa Uemura (1861-1963) discovered Wordsworth as a moral teacher in a Christian sense as well as a great Romantic poet. Through such journals as The Women's Journal, The Nation's Friend, The Critical Essays of Japan and The Gospel News Week, these Christian leaders introduced the poet's views on man, life and nature to Japanese readers so as to propagate Christian doctrines. Through his poetry and poetic theory they also proposed to reform Japanese literary conventions as a phase of the movement of "Civilization and Englightenment" in order to foster Wordsworthian poets in a new Japan.明治20年代(1887-1896)､ワーズワースはキリスト教指導者間に最も人気を博した詩人であった｡巌本善治(1861-1930)､徳富蘇峰(1863-1957)､内村鑑三(1861-1963)､ならびに植村正久(1861-1963)等は､偉大なロマン派詩人として､また､キリスト教的な意味において道徳的教師としてのワーズワースを発見した｡『女学雑誌』『国民之友』､『日本評論』そして『福音週報』等の雑誌を通して､これらのキリスト教指導者たちは､キリスト教の教義を布教するために詩人の人間･人生･自然観を日本の読者に紹介した｡なお､彼の詩論を通して新日本にワーズワース的な詩人の育成を図るために文明開化運動の一環として伝統的な日本文学の改革運動をも提起した｡departmental bulletin pape

No full text当初インターネットはメールの転送とか公開資料の送受信などオープンな環境での使用を目的として開発された。しかし最近ではインターネットのビジネスでの利用形態が世界中で“イントラネット”の形で急速に広がっている。この拡大しつつあるアプリケーションの一つが電子商取引である。ここでインターネットのセキュリティが大きな問題となっている。我々は電子ショッピングの取引きにおいて、インターネット上でクレジットカードの内容を送るときに盗まれる危険性がある。“セキュリティ”はインターネットの概念及びそのオープンシステム・アーキテクチャーとは相反するものであるが､これは企業の財産を守るための基本である。この論文では電子商取引における暗号化技術へのゲームロジックに基づいた独自のアプローチを考案した。Originally the internet was developed for use as an open environment for such purposes as mail transfer and public document exchange. But recently business use of the internet has grown rapidly throughout the world in the form of intranets. One increasingly widespread application is the support for electronic commerce. The growing problem currently is security; we are at risk when sending our credit card details over the internet in a virtual shopping transaction. Although the concept of "security" is against internet philosophy with its open system architecture. it is fundamental to the protection of company assets. No full textコンピュータ・ビジョンは人工知能の一分野で、視覚の基本となる原理を理解したり、人間の視覚系の能力をもつ機械を提供しようとするものである。ロボットの環境認識や医療での画像解析に応用されている。われわれ人間は自然に環境を認識しているが、コンピュータにとってこの環境世界は複雑で、環境認識の技術は限定された領域の中でのみ応用されている。 本稿では、監視員が室内をモニターする状況を想定し、計算機による動画・静止画処理の実装例とセキュリティシステム（カメラを利用した監視システム）への応用事例を示す。 今回設計したセキュリティシステムの概要は次のとおりである。１）部屋の中を２台の監視カメラが常時画像をとり続ける。２）監視カメラからの画像はコンピュータで処理される。３）部屋に人が入ってきたら（画像に変化が起きたら）警告音を発する。４）人が部屋に入ってから出るまでの人の位置を測定しつづける。５）異常と思われる変化があれば、警告音を発する。６）入室時刻、退出時刻とその人物の動きがデータとして記録される。Computer Vision is the field of Artificial Intelligence concerned with understanding the principles of vision, and reproducing the functions of human vision in a machine. It is being applied in such areas as robotic environment recognition and medical image analysis. Whereas we humans perform environment recognition almost unconsciously, it is in fact a complex process for computers to mimic, and is only feasible under controlled conditions. We consider the situation where a security officer monitors some internal environment, and propose a videobased security system utilizing the computerized processing of still and moving images. The system entails: 1) looped recording of the scene in a room with two security cameras; 2) a computer processing stage; 3) automatic sounding of an alarm when an intruder enters the room (actually if there is any change in the image of the scene); 4) continuous recording of the position of the person while inside the room; 5) a further alarm triggered by suspicious movements; 6) a permanent record of the intruder's entry and exit times, and of the person's movements.departmental bulletin pape
沖縄北部地域におけるホテル産業の現状と課題－宿泊需要とホスピタリティ情報との相関分析－
No full text本論文は、沖縄北部地域のリゾートホテルを中心とした最近5年間（1996-2000）の経営状況を客室稼働率や季節変動を時系列に考察し、ホテル独自のホスピタリティ情報であるホームページとの相関関係を分析したものである。 まず、北部地域における宿泊需要の現状を把握するためその指標である稼働率と季節変動を年度別に分析する。次に、19軒ホテルの独自のホームページを数量化理論1類によって統計分析を行う。最後に各ホテルの経営状況を年次別に把握し、両者との関連性や今後の位置づけを検討する。The purpose of this research is to analyze the statistical correlation between accommodation demand and hospitality information in the northern region of Okinawa prefecture. Study 1 focuses on the monthly demand of 13 resort hotels with respect to room occupancy and the coefficient of variation during 1996- 2000. Study2 dealt with 19 resort hotel homepages as sampled from May to June, 2001 and works out a hospitality information model by the quantification method of the first type.departmental bulletin pape
沖縄県名護市名桜大学周辺のリュウキュウハシブトガラスのねぐら入りの季節変化
No full text名護市市街地から名桜大学北側丘陵の雑木林方向（裏山）のねぐらへ移動するリュウキュウハシブトガラスの飛翔個体数の季節変化を調べた。また巣立ち後の営巣木を調査し，基礎的なデータの収集を行った。ねぐら入りの調査は2003年5月～2005年1月の21ケ月間，ほぼ月1回行った。16:00～18:30までの2時間半，国際学部研究棟5階東側の非常階段より、目視によって名護市街地方面から裏山に帰ってくるカラスの数を5分毎に集計した。また，ねぐら立ちからねぐら入りまでの動向を探るため，2004年2月に04:00から19:00までの15時間連続観察を行った。裏山方向への月毎の飛翔数が最も多かったのは，2004年1月であった。2003年5～9月および2004年3～10月の期に16:00から18:30までの観察でカラスの数は18羽以下しか観察されなかった。2004年2月18日の15時間連続観察の結果，夜が明ける6:45に裏山のねぐらから市街地方向に飛び始め，最初の10分がピークとなった。市街地から裏山方向への飛び立ちは，18:05-18:10がピークとなり，18:30以降の飛翔は観察されなかった。営巣木は学内で4本，学外で1本確認した。いずれも沢沿いの高木の地上から10m前後の梢に巣があり，学内の1本がイジュその他はイタジイであった。The number of jungle crows flying over Meio University, Nago, Okinawa, Japan was counted monthly from May 2003 to January 2005．Observation was done from 16:00 to 18:30 every month on the 5th floor of the university building．The maximum number（197inds.) was recorded in January, 2004. In spring and summer including breeding season, a smaller number of crows was observed flying over the university. The number of flying crows between a roosting place and the urban district was counted for 15 hours on 18 February of 2004 to investigate the daily movement pattern. The results showed that crows roosted in a forest behind the university started to fly at O6:45, and the largest number of crows（24 and 27 inds.）was observed during the first 10 minutes. The maximum number of crows returning from the urban district to roosting place sreaching 21 inds. was observed at 18:05, and no crows were observed after 18:30. Four of five nest trees were itajii, or pasania tree（Castanopsis cuspidate var. sieboldii）and another was iju（Schima wallichii liukivensis). タンマユット派の確立－国王による後援を中心に－
No full textモンクット親王によって創始されたタンマユット派は,親王の地位が確立したことにより教義的にも形式的にも充実したが,1851年に親王が国王ラーマ四世として即位したことを契機に,強く国家と結びついた集団となった｡本論はラーマ四世の治世17年間を通じて,タンマユット派が国王からどのような後援を受け,社会からどのように看徹され,どのような社会的な役割を果たすようになったのかを一次資料を用いて考察を行うものである｡ラーマ四世は寺院を五ケ寺建立したが,それらはことごとくタンマユット派の寺院である｡一方,寺院修復事業についていえば,51件の修復事業の中で地方の寺院を修復し,それを契機として国王との新しい関係を結ぶ場合が少なくなく,タンマユット派の僧が居住する寺院となることが多い｡また,ラーマ四世の治世になってから,王子は勿論,王族の子弟はその多くがタンマユット派寺院で一時出家を行うことになった｡ラーマ四世の出家時代の弟子であり,タンマユット派の長老である王族僧ボウォーンランシースリヤパン親王は,仏教教団が行う国家規模の行事には常に教団を代表する役割を果たした｡当時,教団の代表者としての法王は任命されておらず,ポウォーンランシースリヤパン親王とタンマユット派が教団の正統的な存在としてみなされていた｡ラーマ四世即位の時点では国王と個人的に強く結びついた集団にすぎなかったタンマユット派は,国王の治世中の後援のために,王族･官僚と深い関係をもち,国事にも恒常的な役割をもつ｢国教｣となったのである｡Through all 17 years of the reign of King Rama 4, since 1851 to 1867, Thammayut group had received strong patronage from the king. Five temples that Rama 4 built were all devoted to Thammayut group that was founded by King Rama 4 before his enthronement and lead by Bowornransisuriyaphan who was a high ranked member of the royal family and was a disciple of King Rama 4 since the king was in the monastery. Many members of royal family chose Thammayut temples when they were ordained. Strong connection with the king made Thammayut group that was only a little group or movement of practice of Vinaya in 1851 become the most important Buddhist sect that was strongly connected to the state in 1867.departmental bulletin pape
移住政策にみる地域のブランド化についての一考察～長野県移住政策に学ぶ～
No full text本稿は､長野県庁にて移住政策についてヒアリング調査を行なったものの報告書である｡調査の目的は,他県の先駆的な移住政策から,沖縄県にとって有用な要素を学ぶことである｡調査から,長野県ではニーズの高まりに対し移住政策を立ち上げ,｢田舎暮らし案内人｣という専門の人貝を配置して,人的なサポート体制を強化していたことが明らかになった｡ 沖縄県も,こうした政策や人的サポートを学び,観光地としてだけでなく,地域の魅力を地域のブランド価値としてさらに高めるべきである｡This paper is a report on interviews with government staff in Nagano prefecture about their migration policy. The aim of the investigation is to seek valuable insights from the example of this leading prefecture for application in Okinawa. We found that Nagano prefecture has initiated a migration policy in response to a growing need, which involves preparing specialist staff known as "Guides to the Country Life", and strengthening the personal support network for newcomers. Okinawa prefecture should learn from this policy and support infrastructure, and should increase the value of the local brand in ways other than as just a tourist destination.departmental bulletin pape
The Formation of Rituals of Ancestor Worship Among the Ruan Clan in Okinawa and Their Social Implications
No full textOkinawa in Japan, previously known as Ryukyu, formally established its relationship with China during the Ming Dynasty. Hence, the Ruan and other Chinese migrated from Fujian to Ryukyu as a consequence of the changing political dynamics between Ryukyu and China. Ancestor worship in the Ruan clan today involves Buddhism, Confucianism, and Taoism. Moreover, indigenous belief systems and policies of the Ryukyu Kingdom also influenced ancestor worship…a common practice in Okinawa. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the process through which ancestor worship was formed and the context in which this process took place. It is hoped that this paper will shed light on the social implications of ancestor worship among the Ruan clan.かつて琉球とも称される沖縄は，早くも明時代に中国と国交を結んでいた。以来，両国間の政治関係により，阮氏を含む閩南諸姓は琉球に移り住むようになった。今日，中国人の血を引く阮氏の祖先崇拝には，仏教，儒教，道教などの要素が見られ，かつ古代琉球の固有信仰も含まれ，琉球王国の政策とも深く関わっている。今日の沖縄社会においても祖先崇拝は深く根づいている。本稿では，沖縄阮氏の祖先崇拝の形成過程とその原因を分析することを通して，祖先崇拝がこの阮氏一族にとって，どのような特殊的な社会意義を持つのかを理解することが出来ることを論じた。departmental bulletin pape
