No full textเป็นหนึ่งในพิพิธภัณฑ์ชั้นนำของประเทศสหราชอาณาจักร แห่งหนึ่งนอกเหนือจากลอนดอน กล่าวถึงประวัติศาสตร์พิพิธภัณฑ์ยุคเริ่มต้นในปี ค.ศ. 1816 ของ Viscount Fitzwiliam of Merrion ริชาร์ดที่ 7 จนถึงปัจจุบัน ซึ่งได้กำหนดหรือมีบทบาทต่อคนในตระกลู Fitzwiliam ต่อ ๆ มาด้วย ในด้านของพัฒนาการของพิพิธภัณฑ์ของประเทศสหราชอาณาจักรในด้านเนื้อหา รูปภาพ
