Human Rights Museums : Critical Tensions Between Memory and Justice
No full textHuman Rights Museums presents case studies that trace how calls for historical and social justice, and the commensurate rise of a rights regime have led to the emergence of a new museological genre: the human rights museum. Presenting innovative field research conducted in new and emerging human rights museums across Asia and Latin America, the book adopts a broad museological approach. It does so by including national and community museums, as well as public and private museological initiatives, within its purview. Drawing on in-depth case studies about museums in Taiwan, Japan, Paraguay and Colombia - all discussed within their political and cultural contexts - the book examines the paradigmatic shift that has occurred within the museum field in the wake of the larger global transformations that have shaped contemporary geopolitics over the last 50 years. The diversity of geographical and political contexts, and the attention to lesser-known institutions within the canon of English museum studies literature, presents readers with a valuable opportunity to learn more about innovative museological models in non-English-speaking and non-Western contexts. No full textA newly naturalized genus and species, Sidastrum paniculatum (L.) Fryxell (Malvoideae Burnett, Malvaceae), native to the New World Tropics, was found in Qiaotou District, Kaohsiung City, southern Taiwan. The genus Sidastrum Baker f. is closely related to the genus Sida L., and its schizocarp has only one seed per mericarp. The genus Sidastrum can be differentiated from the genus Sida by its calyx without ribs and relatively fragile mericarps. A detailed morphological description and photographs of this newly naturalized species have been provided to facilitate identification.CONTENTS -- Sidastrum paniculatum (L.) Its aim is to efficiently disseminate original research results in computer science. All CIS proceedings are available in electronic form from the SpringerLink digital library, and as printed books, and reach libraries and readers worldwide via Springer's distribution network.
Besides globally relevant meetings with internationally representative program committees guaranteeing a strict peer-reviewing and paper-selection process, conferences run by societies or of high regional or national relevance are also considered for publication. Application-oriented and interdisciplinary conferences are also welcome.
The topical scope of CCIS spans the entire spectrum of computer science ranging from foundational topics in the theory of computing to information and communications science and technology and a broad variety of interdisciplinary application fields.
CIS proceedings can be published in time for distribution at conferences or as revised proceedings after the event. The publication is free of charge and an Open Access option is available at a fee. The language of publication is exclusively English.
CCIS is abstracted/indexed in DBL, Google Scholar, El-Compendex, Mathematical Reviews, SCImago, and Scopus. CCIS volumes are also submitted for inclusion in ISI Proceedings.

No full textลงใน FB museum siam : วันที่ 8 พฤศจิกายน 2566เชื่อว่าช่วงนี้หลายๆท่านน่าจะสนใจเรื่องราวของประวัติศาสตร์ยุคสมัยกรุงศรีอยุธยา โดยเฉพาะในรัชสมัยของสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัวท้ายสระ รวมไปถึงในรัชสมัยของสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่อยู่หัวบรมโกศ วันนี้ห้องคลังความรู้มิวเซียมสยาม ขอแนะนำหนังสือพระราชพงศาวดารกรุงศรีอยุธยา ฉบับหมอบรัดเล เพื่อผู้ที่สนใจจะได้รับรู้ประวัติศาสตร์ในยุคนั้นได้มากขึ้น
สำหรับหนังสือพระราชพงศาวดารกรุงศรีอยุธยา ฉบับหมอบรัดเล (เลขเรียกหนังสือ DS578 พ47 บ45 2549) เป็นพระราชพงศาวดารที่มีการชำระแล้วในสมัยกรุงรัตนโกสินทร์ และมีการจัดพิมพ์โดยดอกเตอร์ แดน บีช บรัดเล มิชชั่นนานรีชาวอเมริกัน ซึ่งเนื้อหาของพระราชพงศาวดารในเล่มนี้พูดถึงตั้งแต่สร้างกรุงศรีอยุธยา จนถึงเสียกรุงครั้งที่ 2 สำหรับในยุคสมัยของขุนหลวงท้ายสระนั้น พระราชพงศาวดารได้มีการบันทึกเรื่องของการโปรดเสวยปลาตะเพียนไว้ว่า
“ครั้นนั้นสมเด็จพระเจ้าแผ่นดินทรงประพฤติเหตุในอโนตัปปธรรม แลเสด็จเที่ยวประพาสทรงเบ็ดเหมือนพระราชบิดา แล้วทรงพอพระทัยเสวยปลาตะเพียน ครั้งนั้นตั้งพระราชกำหนดห้ามมิให้คนทั้งปวงรับพระราชทานปลาตะเพียนเป็นอันขาด ถ้าผู้ใดเอาปลาตะเพียนมาบริโภคก็ให้มีสินไหมแก่ผู้ผั้น เป็นเงินตราห้าตำลึง”
ซึ่งนอกจากเรื่องโปรดเสวยเรื่องปลาตะเพียนแล้ว ห้องคลังความรู้อยากชวนทุกท่านลองเปรียบเทียบการบันทึกช่วงเวลาสวรรคตของขุนหลวงทั้ง 2 พระองค์ ซึ่งในสมัยสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัวท้ายสระ มีการบันทึกช่วงสวรรคตไว้ว่า
“ลุศักราชได้ ๑๐๙๔ ปีชวด จัตวาศก สมเด็จพระเจ้าแผ่นดินทรงพระประชวรหนักลง ก็ถึงแก่ทิวงคตในเดือนยี่ข้างแรมไปโดยยถากรรมแห่งพระองค์นั้น พระเจ้ากรุงศรีอยุธยาบังเกิดในปีมะแม อายุได้ยี่สิบแปดปี ได้เสวยราชสมบัติยี่สิบหกพรรษาเศษ พระชนมายุได้ห้าสิบสี่พรรษาเศษกระทำกาลกิริยา ผู้ใดมีเมตตาไม่ฆ่าสัตว์อายุยืน ไม่มีเมตตาฆ่าสัตว์อายุสั้น”
แต่ในสมัยสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัวบรมโกศ ได้มีการณ์บันทึกช่วงใกล้สวรรคตไว้ว่า
“ณ วันเดือนสิบสอง แรมสองค่ำ ปีฉลู นพศก กลางคืนลมว่าวพัดหนัก พระมหาธาตุซึ่งเป็นหลักวัดโพธิ์โทรมลงทลาย ทั้งอากาศสำแดงร้ายอาเพศ ประทุมเกตุตกต้องมหาธนูลำพู่กัน อนึ่ง ดวงดาวก็เข้าในวงพระจันทร์ ทั้งดาวหางคลองช้างเผือก ประชาชนก็เย็นยะเยือกทั้งนคร ด้วยเทพเจ้าสังหรณ์ให้เห็น ด้วยพระองค์เป็นหลักชัยในกรุงพระมหานครศรีอยุธยา

หนังสือเล่มนี้เป็นหนังสือที่อ่านง่ายและเหมาะกับทุกวัยเพราะเป็นเนื้อหาที่เบาสมอง สามารถอ่านเพื่อผ่อนคลายได้ทุกเวลาและตัวหนังสือยังมีอนิเมชั่นที่ถูกสร้างขึ้นมาให้ผู้คนได้ดูอีกด้วย
“ ฉันจะเจริญรอยตามแม่ไปเป็นช่างเสริมสวยละ กิกิจึงเริ่มคิดเรื่องการเจริญรอยตามแม่บ้าง ถึงอย่างนั้นกิกิก็คิดไม่ตก เพราะไม่อยากคิดง่ายๆแค่ว่าในเมื่อแม่เป็นแม่มด ฉันก็ต้องเป็นเหมือนกัน”
ประโยคที่สำคัญของเรื่อง แสดงให้เห็นถึงการคิดตัดสินใจครั้งสำคัญของกิกิ ในการจะเลือกสิ่งที่จะเปลี่ยนชีวิตเธอไปตลอด ระหว่างการเป็นมนุษย์ธรรมดาแบบพ่อของเธอหรือเป็นแม่มดตามแม่ของเธอ กิกิจะเลือกอะไรทุกคนสามารถหาคำตอบได้จากหนังสือเล่มนี

No full textลงใน FB museum siam : วันที่ 12 มกราคม 2566จากกระแสละครลายกินรีที่เพิ่งลาจอไปได้ไม่นาน ซึ่งเป็นละครที่สร้างจากนวนิยาย เรื่อง ลายกินรี ผู้เขียน คือ คุณหมอพงศกร จินดาวัฒนะ เนื้อเรื่องหลักของละครกล่าวถึงในช่วงปลายรัชสมัยของสมเด็จพระนารายณ์มหาราช เน้นเป็นการสืบสวนตามหาข้อเท็จจริงจากเหตุปริศนาฆาตกรรมกัปตันเรือชาวฝรั่งเศส โดยนวนิยายเรื่องนี้ยังมีการสอดแทรกเกร็ดประวัติศาสตร์ และเหตุการณ์สำคัญที่เกิดขึ้นในช่วงเวลานั้น รวมถึงยังมีตัวละครที่มีตัวตนอยู่จริงในประวัติศาสตร์ปรากฏอยู่ในนวนิยายอีกด้วย
วันนี้ทางห้องคลังความรู้ จึงขอแนะนำเรื่อง “สังคมอยุธยาในสายตาฝรั่งเศส ในรัชกาลสมเด็จพระนารายณ์มหาราช” โดย ผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์ ดร.ปรีดี พิศภูมิวิถี ซึ่งอยู่ในวารสารศิลปวัฒนธรรม สำนักศิลปะและวัฒนธรรม มหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฎเทพสตรี ห้องคลังความรู้จัดทำเป็นหนังสือ Call no. DS577 ส63 2558 ภายในเนื้อหาของหนังสือมีการรวบรวม วิเคราะห์ และเรียบเรียงความรู้ทางประวัติศาสตร์ในสังคมอยุธยาในด้านต่าง ๆ ที่ปรากฏในเอกสารที่เกี่ยวข้องทั้งของฝั่งประเทศไทยและทางฝั่งของประเทศฝรั่งเศส มีการรวบรวมหลักฐานชั้นต้นจากฝรั่งเศสกว่า 36 ฉบับ โดยผู้ที่สนใจในด้านประวัติศาสตร์หรือแฟน ๆ ละครลายกินรีที่อยากศึกษาประวัติศาสตร์เพิ่มเติมเพื่อให้ได้อรรถรสในการรับชมละครเพิ่มขึ้น เมื่อท่านได้อ่านหนังสือเล่มนี้จะสามารถเห็นสภาพสังคม การค้า การเมือง และวิถีชีวิตของผู้คนในอยุธยาในสมัยพระนารายณ์ฯได้อย่างชัดเจนมากยิ่งขึ้

No full textMurray Hudson is the Managing Director and Chairman of Gratnells and founder of the Gratnells Learning Rooms project, which campaigns to improve educational outcomes by maximizing the beneficial effects of the learning environment. He sits on the Executive Council and Management Committee of the British Educational Suppliers Association, and was chairman of the British Educational Furniture Manufacturers Group from 2012–16.
Terry White (BPhil, MEd, FRSA) has a passion for excellence in the design of schools and environments for learning. He is committed to sharing good practice in the UK and through his international projects and study visits, working directly with learners, teachers, co-educators and design professionals. He has extensive experience in schools and colleges as a headteacher and principal. He has worked in the public and private sectors of education, with national and local government, schools, industry, universities, contractors and design professionals. He was a director of WSP Buildings and a founding director of Edunova. He has been the lead Education Design Advisor on large-scale building programmes, developing and delivering the design brief for over 40 schools.
