Evaluation of cost-sharing incentives to promote adoption of conservation tillage
An ACP cost-share program for conservation tillage was made available to some Oklahoma winter wheat producers for the 1983 crop. Previous studies have found that the primary deterrent to adoption of conservation tillage in the region is lower expected wheat yields which result in lower expected net returns. The average subsidy of 20/acre) should provide ample incentive to encourage producers to experiment with conservation tillage
