SEIR model simulation and dynamical behaviour for rabies transmission in dog populations
No full textLink to publisher's homepage at https://amci.unimap.edu.my/Dogs are the primary source of human rabies deaths, contributing to up to 99% of all human rabies transformations. The infection has caused tens of thousands of deaths every year all around the world. This paper discussed rabies transformation in dog populations and how the absence and presence of vaccination will transform the disease dynamics of rabies. Different control mediums like vaccination, culling and birth rate of dog populations are considered to reduce rabies transmission. By applying both the SEI and SEIR models, stability analysis for disease-free and endemic equilibrium points is determined by means of Maple and MATLAB software. The findings suggested that the spread of rabies can be reduced by increasing dog vaccination, expanding dog culling within acceptable ranges, and reducing annual newborn puppies simultaneously. In this regard, high vaccination rates must be implemented to control and, in turn, eliminate rabies transmission
The influence of product packaging on students’ purchasing intention

customers to purchase a certain product. There was an increase in the amount of
competition between different packaged products. This is because product packaging
has a significant impact on the consumer’s purchase intention. This study seeks to
investigate the influence of product packaging on the purchase intention among
students in one of the Malaysian universities. A quantitative approach was used, with a
total of 331 respondents drawn from the populations. This paper used descriptive
analysis, frequency analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and multiple
regression analysis. All analyses were developed using the Statistical Package for Social
Science (SPSS) software. The finding shows that all the hypotheses were accepted. The
results indicated that product packaging influences purchasing intention among
university students depending on the four dimensions: packaging colour, packaging
material, packaging design, packaging size, and shape

Malaysia and the issue of unemployment has become a social problem that has
always been positively linked to criminal activity. However, the crime index in
Malaysia showed a decrease over the period of the Movement Control Order
(MCO). Therefore, this study aims to explore this issue using secondary data taken
from various sources such as journals, books, proceedings, and press reports. The
results of the study found that the crime index decreased even though the number
of unemployed increased because it was in line with the theory of crime
opportunity. As the community needs to stay at home during the MCO period, the
chances of committing index crime are low because the home as well as property
are monitored as well as individuals are not exposed to violent crime. However,
the domino effect is non -index crime is reported to increase due to the stress of
life that makes the individual is motivated to commit non-index crime. The results
of the analysis of this study are expected to help the government, especially the
Department of Social Welfare to be more efficient by helping and supporting the
victims of non-index crime. In addition, the results of this study are also expected
to provide an explanation to the community on the question of why the
unemployment rate is negatively related to index crime as well as remove the
negative impression of the report given by the Royal Malaysian Police (RMP).
However, the results of this study are only a preliminary analysis, and it is
suggested that empirical studies can be conducted to support the results of this
analysis
