A maioria cursava o 3° e 9° semestre. The COVID-19 pandemic has potentially affected the quality of life of many students in Brazil and around the world due to changes in routine, loss of family or friends, changes in routine, increased fear and insecurity, among other factors. Thus, it is suggested that dentistry students were the most negatively affected by dealing directly with the mouth, which is the focus of transmission of this disease and by having to adapt to online classes. Knowing this, the objective of this study was to evaluate the prevalence of anxiety and depression symptoms during social isolation due to COVID 19 in undergraduate Dentistry students. The target audience were Odontology students at Centro Universitário Christus, some 820 students (N). Considering a degree of trust of 95 percent and a 5 percent error margin, it was mandatory to research 262 (N) students. The Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HAD) and the Fear Questionnaire related to COVID-19 were used. Data collection was performed through a virtual semi-structured questionnaire on the Microsoft Forms platform. Data were analyzed using SPSS 21.0 and statistical tests were applied to verify relationships and significance of responses. As a result, we had that, of the total, 28.1% of the sample is male and 71.9% female. Most attended the 3rd and 9th semester. According to the HAD scale, the students showed probable levels of both anxiety and depression. In addition, when analyzing the COVID-19 Fear Questionnaire, the questions “I am very afraid of COVID” and “Thinking about COVID makes me uncomfortable” resulted in the highest averages, configuring a moderate fear. However, it was possible to conclude that students have probable cases of anxiety and depression, in addition to the fear of COVID being moderate. Nevertheless, the fear of Covid increases the levels of anxiety and depression in these students, independently from gender, age and year in course
Development and usability evaluation of a application for multiprofessional ICU visits
Intensive care is an area of multiprofessional convergence within the hospital care system. The
results of their activities depend on the close relationship between team members and
interdisciplinary collaboration. Efficient communication between professionals is considered
the key to the safety culture of acute patients. The Multiprofessional Visit or Round is a critical
clinical activity to provide patient safety and high-quality care. For its proper development, it
is necessary to use a checklist to avoid omissions and neglect essential points of care. The
objectives of this work were to develop an application for mobile systems to carry out the
multiprofessional visit in an ICU for adults and to evaluate its usability by professionals with
experience in the area. This was a two-phase study: Phase 1, application development, and
Phase 2, observational and cross-sectional evaluation of the application's usability by specialists
in intensive care in the ICU of a tertiary and teaching hospital. The application was developed
in PWA (Progressive Web App) format, compatible with iOS and Android platforms. For the
second phase, the System Usability Scale (SUS®) questionnaire was used. By applying it,
specialists (two intensive care physicians, a physical therapist, a nutritionist, and two nurses)
evaluated it, obtaining an average score of 95.42 with a confidence interval of 90.89 – 99.93
and a standard deviation of 4.31, a mean score representing A+ classification on the Sauro and
Lewis scale (method for interpreting the SUS score). Observers made important suggestions to
improve the content, including adding a discharge option: “Discharge to home”; options to
justify why the patient did not reach the caloric and protein nutritional goals and present them
separately; a stopwatch for counting time; generating a device utilization rate and, based on the
data, the suggestion of daily goals with an open field to add other items. A mobile application
was developed for health professionals to facilitate the daily multiprofessional visit in an adult
A Visita
importantes para aprimorar o conteúdo incluindo: acrescentar opção de alta: “Alta para casa”;
Analysis of the costs of a company in the hotel segment for decision making in pricing
The hotel segment is increasingly more competitive, with more demanding clients and
opinion formers, with a decreasing contribution margin and irregularity in the employment
tax. Given the uncertainty of the management of the costs and the adequate formation of the
sale price, it is of great importance for the maintenance of the company to remain profitable
and offer quality services. This activity has a large participation in the generation of
employment and income in the country. This research was carried out in a hotel located in the
interior of the State of Ceará with the general objective of analyzing the reflections of
customer analyzes in a company in the hotel sector for decision-making in precision. The
methodology that was used to approach the problem is qualitative, the typology does not refer
to the procedures and case study and bibliography and the typology of research and
description. The data analysis was collected through a semi-structured interview and
observation, from May 2021 to April 2022. The results found suggest that the daily value
calculated for the mark-up was higher than the price practiced It is also considered that the
company does not account for the effect of its result or cost of opportunity for the investment
made and the salary of the managing partner or that it compromises or plans the occupation of
its structure and management decision-making

Hypothyroidism is characterized as a systemic endocrine disorder which is caused by a dysfunction of the thyroid gland. This produces the thyroid hormones T3 and T4 which are responsible for performing the normal functions of the physical body, that is, changes in the secretion of these hormones may be related to some maladjustments in the stomatognathic system. The most common manifestations of congenital hypothyroidism, also known as cretinism, are thick lips, macroglossia, malocclusion, and delayed eruption of teeth in both dentitions. This study aims to report the case of a 9-year-old female child whose main complaint was delayed eruption of teeth. On clinical examination, a marked delay in the timing of tooth eruption was observed, and the patient had to be referred to a medical geneticist, who ruled out any syndromic abnormality. Thus, the patient was referred to an endocrinologist, whose opinion was hypothyroidism. Thus, the patient was treated with levothyroxine 25mg, and with the rebalance of these hormones, the process of tooth eruption followed the normal and expected process
Development and evaluation of an interactive educational platform for application in problem-based learning
Active teaching methodologies have been increasingly used in medical education. Among the active methodologies, Problem-Based Learning (PBL) is one of the most used in higher education in health. Despite the extensive literature, the challenge regarding this method involves both the logistical and economic issues. This study aimed to develop and evaluate a mobile platform for use in teaching sessions that use the active PBL methodology for undergraduate students. The first phase of the study was the development of a platform composed of the iTutoria Professor and iTutoria Student softwares, with the participation of a multidisciplinary team. The first one being a WebView-like tool, accessed via the internet and used by the teacher to allow the display of contents within an application. The second is for use by students during the steps of the tutoring session. The second phase of the study consisted of evaluating the usability of the iTutoria Student software developed through the System Usability Scale (SUS) instrument and its acceptance through a questionnaire based on the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) by a group of students. Thirty-six randomly chosen students who attended the third to sixth semester of the medicine course at a University Center during the period of November 2021 participated in the study. The evaluation of the reliability of the responses to the acceptance questionnaire identified a Cronbach's alpha coefficient of 0.96; and these revealed that the platform was easy to use, useful, with attractive visual characteristics, with adequate functional characteristics and with satisfactory guidelines for use (icons and links), having also identified a behavioral intention to use the application, in addition to having deemed adequate the training carried out for its use. The evaluation of the reliability of the responses to the SUS instrument identified a Cronbach's alpha coefficient of 0.86 and the usability of the platform was considered good by the students, with an average SUS score equal to 70.1. The iTutoria tool was considered to have good usability and acceptance by students, having a potential for use in tutorial sessions with the application of multimedia resources such as videos and sounds, as well as for the application of PBL in large groups of students.
Cryptocurrencies and tax evasion
The goal of this study is to discuss the effectiveness of Brazilian regulations on tax evasion by cryptocurrency investors. The use of cryptocurrencies has grown over the years, whether as a type of investment or currency in everyday transactions. Faced with the increasing use of this new form of investment, questions arise in the area of tax accounting in relation to businesses carried out through cryptocurrencies, especially with regard to the government's ability to tax or the possibility of preventing foreign tax evasion. The present paper then used a qualitative approach in order to make possible the accomplishment of a bibliographic study, whose execution took place through the reading of scientific articles, analysis of regulations and bills under discussion in the scope of Brazilian law. In such manner, it was possible to identify that the current rules and under discussion still do not have the power to prevent cryptocurrencies from working as a form of tax evasion, mainly due to the absence of tools that make it possible to identify such transactions. Concluding, then, that government bodies still do not have adequate tools to effectively monitor and prevent tax evasion through cryptocurrencies, whether by individuals or legal entities

Several chemical substances have been used in the disinfection and hygiene process of polymer-based devices, however, many of these substances are used empirically. The objective of this study was to evaluate the physical and mechanical properties, through the color stability and surface roughness of different polymers, polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA), polyamide and polyetheretherketone (PEEK), after immersion in different disinfectant solutions. A total of 105 samples of each material (n=15) were made in a cylindrical shape (15mmx4mm) and the groups were divided according to the type of material: Conventional Acrylic Resin (PMMA), Polyamides and Polyetheretherketone (PEEK), which were subjected to immersion in disinfectant media such as Listerine (LI), Cepacol (CE), Corega Tabs (CT), 10% paracetic acid (AP), 1% sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl), 0.12% Periogard (dichlorhexidine digluconate) and distilled water (AD) as a control. Applications of 12/12hours were simulated for 2 weeks, which is equivalent to a period of 2 years. All samples were weighed before and after exposure to the treatment in order to analyze the mass loss. Five parallel lines (1 mm) were recorded on each sample to measure the surface roughness (Ra). And color stability was measured by a handheld colorimeter. Data were analyzed by being expressed as mean and standard deviation, submitted to the Kolmogorov-Srminov normality test and compared using the 3-way ANOVA test for repeated measures followed by the Bonferroni post test (p<0.05 , SPSS 22.0). It was observed that in relation to the surface roughness analysis, polyamide showed a greater difference (p<0.001), when compared to the other polymers, after simulated 1 year of immersion. There was a significant difference in color change (ΔE) for all experimental groups but with greater changes in PMMA and polyamide when treated with 1% NaClO, cepacol and 10% paracetic acid (p<0.001), compared to PEEK. There was a change in the mass in relation to the immersion times (p<0.05), where the Corega tabs showed a greater ability to change compared to the materials (p<0.05). It can be concluded that PEEK appears more stable against wear and discoloration than PMMA and polyamide. More research and clinical trials are needed to confirm these results
Investigation of the expert process in tailings dams in Brazil
The need for an abundance of ores due to industrialization has meant that existing tailings dams have to be expanded to meet this sudden need, as well as the precision of new constructions of this structure model. With these expansions carried out, the dams suffer high levels of pressure, causing possible failures. These accidents cause irreversible damage to both the population and the environment. The present work aims to disseminate the expertise process in tailings dams with a focus on the causes and origins of collapses. The analysis of the main forensic processes carried out in investigations of the two biggest dam failures that occurred in Brazil was used as a methodology, namely the Mariana and Brumadinho claims. Due to the occurrence of tailings dam failures that have occurred in Brazil in recent years, it is necessary to verify the main reasons for their failures, showing ways to prevent these disasters. The process of expert analysis involves planning, inspection of the accident site, examinations performed, documental study of the case and preparation of the report based on the information collected. With this, it is possible to evaluate the divergences of complexity existing in the causes of dam ruptures, when compared to the evaluation methods contained in the present work. It was concluded by the analysis of the causes and by the process of expertise that failures and accidents are linked to negligence in the design stage, related to the particular characteristics of the construction methods of the dams, and the maintenance process
The use and perception of medical clinic residents about the podcast as a teaching tool in leprosy
The main objective of this research paper is to understand how medical residents perceive the use of the podcast as a leprosy teaching tool. As secondary objectives, the research evaluates the previous experiences of doctors in the care of patients with leprosy, presents the process of creating a podcast for medical education, verifies how e-learning is inserted in the daily lives of research participants and presents the conditions and preferences for using the podcast. The study proposes as a methodological approach a transversal, exploratory investigation, with a qualitative approach. Data collection was performed through a focus group technique, followed by content analysis, with speeches categorization, according to the method of Bardin (2009). The group interview was conducted at Hospital Geral Dr Waldemar Alcântara, in Fortaleza city, Ceará. Fourteen clinical medicine residents participated. Regarding leprosy teaching, we found that throughout the medical training process, from undergraduate to continuing medical education, the evaluators reported little practical experience with leprosy, as well as insecurity in diagnosing and managing patients. Digital technologies are strongly embedded in the medical teaching-learning process. The podcast was evaluated as a promising complementary tool to traditional teaching methods, with the blended learning format being an alternative for medical education in the coming years, recognizing the weaknesses and potentialities of traditional and digital teaching. We considered the strengths of the podcast in the study: the choice of topics, the short duration and subdivision into topics of the subject and as a weakness the absence of images. There is a need for further validation studies of podcasts against the gold standards of medical education teaching
