With missing portions along the right edge and a nearby fold, perhaps due to pest infestation, stains and soiling, the condition is poor

    A lantern slide, "237 (13723) Irrigating Endless Avenues of Orange Trees, Redlands, Calif.," Keystone View Company, Meadville, Pennsylvania, USA, circa 1910s. The image shows a Latino farmworker standing next to a concrete irrigation ditch that runs along the right side of an aisle between rows of orange trees extending far into the distance. The accompanying card explains the process of growing and irrigating the trees and notes that the navel orange was introduced in 1870. With some wear to the mount of the slide and browning and creases to the card, the condition is good

    A panoramic real photo postcard of the Elks Parade, Los Angeles, 1909. In the foreground is a horse-drawn float with "Mexico" in flowers on the side and covers on the animals with the word "Mexico" on them. Several men in hooded garb walk alongside and about ten persons in varying Mexican costumes are on the covered vehicle. A band and other floats are further down Broadway, which is lined with throngs of spectators. Portions of buildings, including Bullock's, an Owl Drug Store, a jewelers and others are in view. On the reverse is a printed title for the event, "Midsummer Floral and Allegorical Festival, B.P.O.E., Reunion, Los Angeles, Cal. '09." The unused card has light soiling, fading to the left that is moderate and minor rubbing and is in good overall condition

    "Fountian [sic] in Plaza," stereoscopic photograph, Los Angeles, California, USA, Thomas E. Stanton, circa 1880s. Taken from the northeastern portion of the historic center of Spanish and Mexican-era Los Angeles, the view takes in walks, lawns, trees and shrubs, as well as the iron fence at the center of the park, within which is the fountain. In the distance is a multi-story commercial structure, the Plaza House, built in 1883. On the reverse is a stamp from John Meister, a book dealer, stationer and confectioner on Spring Street. With soiling, stains, rubbing and a pinece missing from the matte at the bottom, the overall condition is fair
