Text je snahou o představení možnosti jak lze metodu HAE (Horse Assisted Education) reflektovat v pedagogice a jak ji uvést do školní a volnočasové praxe dětí. Autorka textu vidí potenciál HAE v oblasti environmentální výchovy. Tento proud je možné začlenit do široké skupiny metod a přístupů zážitkové pedagogiky využívající programy se zvířaty pro podporu rozvoje přírodovědné a environmentální gramotnosti a také osobnostního rozvoje.he present text has the ambition to introduce the reader to a more general level of the current of educational and training activities referred to as Horse Assisted Education. The text is an attempt to present the possibility of how the HAE (Horse Assisted Education) method can be reflected in pedagogy and how to introduce it into children's school and leisure practice. The author of the text sees the potential of HAE in the field of environmental education. This stream can be integrated into a wide range of experiential pedagogy methods and approaches using animal programs to support the development of science and environmental literacy as well as personal development
Estonian Male Journalists’ Experiences with Abusive Online Communication
Get PDFSeveral studies have established that female journalists experience (sexual) harassment and online abuse considerably more than their male colleagues. Understandably, this has resulted in a gap in research – male journalists’ experiences with abusive online communication have not yet been thoroughly studied. This paper seeks to understand how abusive communication is contextualised and defined by male journalists in the context of hegemonic masculinity, and to explore which coping strategies are employed to overcome such experiences. From qualitative in-depth interviews with male journalists (n=15), we found that participants considered different forms of abusive online communication from readers/sources a normalised practice, “feedback” that one must just ignore or overcome. Experiences are interpreted predominantly in the frame of hegemonic (complicit) masculinity, but the results also indicate that shifts in these rigid norms are emerging and can be embraced when acknowledged and supported by surrounding structures
Conditional connection explored: the case of Sicilian "cusà"
Get PDFStemming from a wh-question, the Sicilian marker cusà (cu sa ‘who knows’) expresses several epistemic meanings, which can also reach the realm of conditionality. The paper explores the discourse profile of cusà as it emerges from the analysis of diachronic data (18th-19th centuries) and present-day spoken written Sicilian (web data). These data suggest the possible development path leading from the wh-question to new functions. We propose that the origin of this development can be explained in the light of the strategy of “impossible question”, while the diverse functions of cusà emerged through concomitant processes of desemantisation, reanalysis and subjectification
Rozhodnutí o pozemkových úpravách a jejich přezkum v České republice
No full textPříspěvek pojednává o rozhodnutí o schválení návrhu pozemkových úprav a o rozhodnutí o výměně nebo přechodu vlastnických práv jako výsledku pozemkových úprav v České republice. V textu příspěvku jsou postupně analyzovány jednak podmínky zákonnosti, ale též podmínky vydání obou těchto rozhodnutí, přičemž je též kladen důraz na možnosti vlastníka pozemků dotčených pozemkovými úpravami bránit se proti těmto rozhodnutím ve správním řízení i v případném následném soudním přezkumu. V příspěvku jsou též vymezeny specifické procesní souvislosti správního a soudního přezkumu pozemkových úprav v českém právním řádu. Na základě provedené analýzy související soudní judikatury je též uvedeno, na základě jakých argumentů české soudy v těchto případech obvykle rozhodují. The text of the paper gradually analyses the conditions of legality and the conditions for the issuance of both decisions while also emphasizing the possibilities of the landowner of the land affected by the land consolidation to defend against these decisions in administrative proceedings and any subsequent judicial review. The paper also defines the specific procedural context of administrative and judicial review of land consolidation in the Czech legal system. Based on the analysis of the related case law, it is also shown based on which arguments Czech courts usually decide in these cases. Finally, the paper answers whether the possibility of protection against interference with the owner’s property rights is sufficient for this owner

Articulatory network reorganization in Parkinson ? s disease as assessed by multimodal MRI and acoustic measures
Get PDFIntroduction: Hypokinetic dysarthria (HD) is common in Parkinson?s disease (PD). Our objective was to evaluate articulatory networks and their reorganization due to PD pathology in individuals without overt speech impairment using a multimodal MRI protocol and acoustic analysis of speech. Methods: A total of 34 PD patients with no subjective HD complaints and 25 age-matched healthy controls (HC) underwent speech task recordings, structural MRI, and reading task-induced and resting-state fMRI. Grey matter probability maps, task-induced activations, and resting-state functional connectivity within the regions engaged in speech production (ROIs) were assessed and compared between groups. Correlation with acoustic parameters was also performed. Results: PD patients as compared Tto HC displayed temporal decreases in speech loudness which were related to BOLD signal increases in the right-sided regions of the dorsal language pathway/articulatory network. Among those regions, activation of the right anterior cingulate was increased in PD as compared to HC. We also found bilateral posterior superior temporal gyrus (STG) GM loss in PD as compared to HC that was strongly associated with diadochokinetic (DDK) irregularity in the PD group. Task-induced activations of the left STG were increased in PD as compared to HC and were related to the DDK rate control. Conclusions: The results provide insight into the neural correlates of speech production control and distinct articulatory network reorganization in PD apparent already in patients without subjective speech impairment
Towards an Efficient Detection of Pivoting Activity
Get PDFPivoting is a technique used by cyber attackers to exploit the privileges of compromised hosts in order to reach their final target. Existing research on countering this menace is only effective for pivoting activities spanning within the internal network perimeter. When applying existing methods to include external traffic, the detection algorithm produces overwhelming entries, most of which unrelated to pivoting. We address this problem by identifying the major characteristics that are specific to potentially malicious pivoting. Our analysis combines human expertise with machine learning and is based on the inspection of real network traffic generated by a large organization. The final goal is the reduction of the unacceptable amounts of false positives generated by the state of the art methods. This paper paves the way for future researches aimed at countering the critical menace of illegitimate pivoting activities
Stream-Based IP Flow Analysis
Get PDFAs the complexity of Internet services, transmission speed, and data volume increases, current IP flow monitoring and analysis approaches cease to be sufficient, especially within high-speed and large-scale networks. Although IP flows consist only of selected network traffic features, their processing faces high computational demands, analysis delays, and large storage requirements. To address these challenges, we propose to improve the IP flow monitoring workflow by stream-based collection and analysis of IP flows utilizing a distributed data stream processing. This approach requires changing the paradigm of IP flow data monitoring and analysis, which is the main goal of our research. We analyze distributed stream processing systems, for which we design a novel performance benchmark to determine their suitability for stream-based processing of IP flow data. We define a stream-based workflow of IP flow collection and analysis based on the benchmark results, which we also implement as a publicly available and open-source framework Stream4Flow. Furthermore, we propose new analytical methods that leverage the stream-based IP flow data processing approach and extend network monitoring and threat detection capabilities

No full textento příspěvek věnuje pozornost první pracovní verzi navrhované právní úpravy krypto-aktiv v rámci Evropské unie. První část příspěvku se věnuje za využití metody syntézy a kompilace popisu základních kategorií krypto-aktiv a podmínkám výkonu činnosti vydavatelů krypto-aktiv, ale také poskytovatelů služeb krypto-aktiv, kdy jejich činnost přechází jak do úpravy kapitálového trhu, tak do oblasti platebního styku. Mimo vymezení povinných aspektů uvedených činností a jejich výčtu následně článek přistupuje k analýze chybějících prvků v zájmu propojení s existující úpravou zejména kapitálového trhu a platebního styku. Právě tady je možné vidět zbylé prvky, které budou vyžadovat pozornost zákonodárce
