Comunidades indígenas aymaras y el Estado peruano (1820-1870)
No full textThe article analyzes how in the southern Peruvian and Andean space, considered peripheral and inhospitable to the ruling elites of the State based in Lima, the use of republican rhetoric, the instrumentalization of the condition of taxpayers and the appeal to ancestral customs, emerged as the means through which the Aymara of the communities inhabiting the Andean mountains made themselves heard. This capacity for adaptation, typical of a culture of resistance – fundamental to favor negotiation and participation in the processes of national construction – allowed this ethnic group to fight for the defense of their lands, goods and cultural specificity, inserting themselves in the long process of national construction. For this reason, this article considers the Aymara indigenous people represented by their communities as active subjects in the political and socio-territorial sphere. Based on the analysis of various judicial and notarial documentary sources, we will visualize how, through the defense of their communal rights and the space appropriated for centuries, the Aymara were able to develop an alternative political praxis to the liberal citizenship that the State sought to establish, allowing them to the extent that they recognized and participated in the expansion of the liberal institutionality of the nation-state. adapt to a context that was not of the Ancien Régime without losing the essential aspects of its cultural ethos.El artículo analiza cómo en el espacio sur peruano y andino, considerado como periférico e inhóspito para las élites dirigentes del Estado asentadas en Lima, el uso de la retórica republicana, la instrumentalización de la condición de contribuyentes y la apelación a las costumbres ancestrales, se erigieron como los medios a través de los cuales los aymaras de las comunidades habitantes de las serranías andinas se hicieran escuchar. Esta capacidad de adaptación, propia de una cultura de la resistencia -fundamental para favorecer la negociación y su participación en los procesos de construcción nacional- permitió a este grupo étnico pleitar por la defensa de sus tierras, bienes y especificidad cultural, insertándose en el largo proceso de edificación nacional. Por esta razón, este artículo considera a los indígenas aymaras representados por sus comunidades, como sujetos activos en el ámbito político y socioterritorial. A partir del análisis de diversas fuentes documentales judiciales y notariales, visualizaremos cómo a través de la defensa de sus derechos comunales y del espacio apropiado por siglos, los aymaras fueron capaces de desarrollar una praxis política alternativa a la ciudadanía liberal que el Estado buscó instaurar, permitiéndoles en la medida que reconocían y participaban de la expansión de la institucionalidad liberal del Estado-nación, adaptarse a un contexto que no era de Antiguo Régimen sin perder los aspectos esenciales de su ethos cultural
The Work Songs Remembered by the Formerly Enslaved in Slave Narratives from the Federal Writers' Project, 1936 to 1938
No full textIn the mid-1930s, a wide variety of programs and projects were developed in the United States as part of the Works Progress Administration to provide more employment opportunities. One such project was "Born in Slavery: Slave Narratives from the Federal Writers' Project." Between 1936 and 1938, more than 2,300 interviews were conducted with formerly enslaved individuals from around 17 states. These sources were created with significant shortcomings, which explains why scholars have long ignored them. This study seeks to fill that lacuna in the history, arguing that these memoirs can also be regarded as historiography. Using oral history methodology, this article aims to uncover the music that the enslaved created in the final years of slavery, focusing on work songs. While these interviews do not contain recorded musical data, they provide valuable insight into the context in which the songs were performed and the purposes they served for this group
En torno a una metodología interpretativa para la detección de neologismos de registro en lengua alemana
No full textThe incessant lexicogenesis in the German language, whether primary or secondary, in the registers of the digital tourist promotional genre, frequently poses a major challenge to the German language researcher (neologist or translator). In this sense, the purpose of the present research is to find useful coding tools for the detection of neological output in the specialized field of wellness tourism. To this end, paralinguistic, linguistic and cognitive strategies and resources are proposed to recognize and assist in the manual sorting and verification of neologisms in German as a foreign language.La incesante lexicogénesis en lengua alemana, ya sea primaria o secundaria, en los registros del género digital página comercial turística hace que la frecuencia con la que se tope el estudioso de la lengua alemana (neólogo o traductor) sea muy elevada. En este sentido, el propósito de la presente investigación estriba en hallar herramientas de codificación útiles para la detección de eductos neológicos en el ámbito de especialidad del turismo de bienestar. Para ello se proponen estrategias y recursos paralingüísticos, lingüísticos y cognitivos que puedan ayudar a reconocer dichas entidades para su posterior validación como neologismos en alemán como lengua extranjera

No full textIn the field of American comics, the thesis that affirms the simultaneity and communication between formats (daily and Sunday newspaper strips, comic books, magazines, graphic novels) through a channel in which different currents also flow and communicate (classic, mainstream, underground, alternative) serves as a key to interpreting the entire work of the Hernandez brothers. It is a difficult simultaneity, not exempt from exclusions and appropriations, which is configured by the principle that links the result with the origins of the comic. This article focuses on the elements shared by the comics of the Gilbert and Jaime Hernandez brothers, particularly related to the deconstruction of stereotypes.En el ámbito del cómic estadounidense, la tesis que afirma la simultaneidad y comunicación entre formatos (tiras diarias y dominicales de prensa, comic book, revista, novela gráfica) a través de un cauce en el que fluyen diferentes corrientes también comunicadas (clásicos, mainstream, underground, alternativos) sirve como clave de interpretación del conjunto de la obra de los hermanos Hernández. Es una simultaneidad difícil, no exenta de exclusiones y de apropiaciones, que se configura por el principio que enlaza el resultado con los orígenes de la historieta. No full textThe decision of an author who chooses to develop his entire narrative work in the same fictional world deserves to be considered with some interest. That is the case of Beto Hernandez, who has created with his histories an expanding universe, taking the small Latin American town of Palomar and its characters as its origin point. This essay aims to explore some notable particularities of this process. One of the axes on which it will revolve points to the choice of an appropriate generic framework, which may allow the continuous progress of the stories lacking the expectation of reaching a definitive horizon, and thus constructing a fiction that acquires the realism of what is permanently in progress. Another will point out the importance of family genealogy as a structuring factor of those stories that are perpetuated over time, unfolding on a chronology that runs parallel to that of the world inhabited by the author and his readers. The thread that will serve to weave these thoughts will also run through the eventful bibliographical history of publication in which the universe of Beto Hernandez has unfolded and at some point will use as a resource the possible worlds theory developed for literary fiction.La decisión de un autor que elige desarrollar toda su obra narrativa en un mismo mundo ficcional merece ser considerada con cierto interés. Ese es el caso de Beto Hernández, que crea con sus relatos un universo en expansión, tomando como origen de coordenadas el pequeño pueblo latinoamericano de Palomar y a sus personajes. Este ensayo pretende explorar algunas particularidades destacables de ese proceso. Uno de los ejes sobre los que girará apunta a la elección de un marco genérico apropiado, que permita el continuo avance de las historias sin la expectativa de alcanzar un horizonte definitivo, construyendo así una ficción que adquiere el realismo de lo permanentemente in progress. Otro señalará la importancia de la genealogía familiar como factor estructurante de esos relatos que se perpetúan en el tiempo, desplegándose sobre una cronología que discurre en paralelo a la del mundo que habitan el autor y los lectores. El hilo que servirá para entretejer estas reflexiones recorrerá el azaroso historial bibliográfico de publicaciones periódicas en las que se ha ido desplegando el universo de Beto Hernández y en algún punto se recurrirá también a la teoría de los mundos posibles en la ficción literaria

Politización de la inmigración con fines electoralistas: contraste entre los programas electorales de Vox, Fratelli d’Italia y O Chega
Get PDFIn this study, the electoral programme of the far-right party Vox for General Elections in Spain (June 23, 2023) will be analysed, in order to identify their treatment of the issue of immigration. The data will be compared with those published by two European parties of similar ideology: Fratelli d'Italia (Elezioni Politiche in Italy, 2022), and O Chega (Eleições Legislativas in Portugal, 2022). Our hypothesis is that similarities will be observed in their negative view of the phenomenon of immigration. For the analysis, the data provided by Sketch Engine will be used. The results show that they all place the emphasis on the fear of immigrants prompting a ‘mass invasion’, but each party focuses on a different aspect: the association between immigration, crime and citizen insecurity (Vox and Fratelli d'Italia), patriotism and the loss of national identity (Vox), and the potential replacement of the in-group by immigrants (O Chega).En este trabajo, analizaremos el programa electoral del partido de extrema derecha Vox en las Elecciones Generales de 2023, para comprobar cómo se aborda discursivamente el tema de la inmigración. Los datos serán contrastados con los de otros dos partidos europeos de ideología similar: Fratelli d’Italia (Elezioni Politiche 2022) y Chega (Eleições Legislativas 2022). Partimos de la hipótesis de que se observarán similitudes entre ellos, asociadas al nativismo y a una visión negativa de la inmigración. Para el análisis crítico de los discursos, se combinará el análisis cualitativo con los datos obtenidos de Sketch Engine. Los resultados reflejan que, si bien todos defienden una política nativista, cada partido se centra en determinados aspectos: el carácter ilegal de los inmigrantes y su asociación con la delincuencia y la inseguridad ciudadana (Vox y Fratelli d’Italia), el patriotismo y la pérdida de la identidad nacional (Vox) y el reemplazo demográfico del endogrupo (Chega)
