    Detour bridge across Live Oak Creek

    Image shows a creek bed while signs tell motorists to drive slowly over the temporary detour bridge across Live Oak Creek west of Lake Worth took on added significance when the rain-swollen waters of the creek washed most of the structure away. Two steel girders remained in the bed of the creek when the flood receded. Some of the scaffolding of the new bridge under construction at right was washed away.     Westover Hills City Hall

    New town hall for Westover Hills, Texas under construction. The town hall is part of a major park development being carried out with Works Projects Administration aid in the suburban village as being only 45 days from completion. The rock wall below the building will form the edge of a reflecting pool. Between the rock wall an the terrace of the town hall will be the stage of an amphitheater, with seats for the audience on the opposite side of the pool. About 155 WPA workers now are engaged on the project, which calls for development of an entire section of Roaring Springs Creek.
