INTERDISCIPLINARITY SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT EDUCATION FOR BUSINESS STUDENTS: THE CASE OF ALBANIA
Achieving sustainable development goals (SDGs) is among top national priorities for Western Balkan countries even if the efforts and awareness remain low especially in Albania. Sustainable development education has been integrated to different levels of the curricula of pre-university education and it is part of the curricula of higher education institutions (HEIs) in Albania. Sustainable development education is considered catalyst in raising awareness on SDGs especially among young people. In business related university degrees sustainable development education has been traditionally linked to corporate social responsibility (CSR), business ethics courses or circular economy (CE) courses. The number of dedicated courses and degrees focused in sustainable development has increased over the years. The teaching and learning approach remain traditional. Sustainable development is interdisciplinary. Courses related to sustainable development lack of interdisciplinary approach. The aim of this paper is to explore the integration of interdisplinarity in sustainable development in Albanian HEIs. The approach of this study is qualitative, case study method is used. The study focuses in business ethics course offered by the Department of Management at the Faculty of Business, Aleksandër University of Durrës. The findings suggest that interdisciplinary in this course is needed in order to build transversal competence in terms of sustainable consumption, sustainable production, gender discrimination, sustainable spaces and digital and AI competence

The paper addresses the UN sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through the lens of English language instruction, centred around English for law enforcement. It elaborates on the link between SDGs and law enforcement and English language instruction, offering ideas for presenting SDGs-related topics and vocabulary in the classroom. It focuses on classroom activities for presenting vocabulary on gender-based violence in English, in the context of SDG5 - Gender Equality. The suggested activities are aimed at raising learners’ awareness of the importance of the issue of gender equality through elaboration of this topic and acquisition of gender-based violence vocabulary. They will help them identify the semantic nuances between different concepts related to gender-based violence and will also enhance their professional skills necessary for their future profession, including the achievement of the SDGs linked to law enforcement
QUALITATIVE ANALYSIS OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI) PLATFORMS IN EDUCATION
Education is one of the basic pillars of a society and as such people, institutions and companies tend to develop continuous reforms for sustainable progress. With the high technological advancement, an increase in AI services is observed and it also affects the educational process. This paper is an attempt to research the latest news regarding the development of special AI services in education. We study the platform that has developed its own AI systems, which are related to the automatic preparation of exam questions and the creation of interactive automatic answers, called the Eklavvya platform. During this research we see that there is an increase in platforms that offer training, courses or help increase knowledge on how to use AI in education. While we estimate that more work needs to be done in developing special platforms that are only related to education and all the services related to it. While we have not found other platforms dedicated only to education, we have researched and carefully addressed the impact of GPT-3 and Gemini on education. Finally, we conclude that AI platforms innovate and provide a positive impact on improving all areas of education, being quite productive in terms of security, exam preparation, answering questions through AI, contributing to sustainability objectives in promoting quality education and promoting innovations in both education and society
А COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF FIRST-PERSON PRONOUN USE IN AI AND HUMAN ESSAYS
This study comparatively analyzed the use of the personal pronoun “I” in AI-generated and human-written essays through an AntConc analysis of two self-made corpora of texts, to (dis)prove the hypothesis: AI-generated essays will use the first-person pronoun "I" significantly less frequently than human-written essays. The first corpus of essays in this study, all generated by ChatGPT, consisted of 100 essays totaling 29,442 words. The second corpus of 100 essays, written by humans, included texts with a total word count of 39,878. The frequency analysis revealed a significant disparity in the use of the pronoun “I” between the two corpora. In the AI-generated essays, "I" was used only 15 times, contrasting sharply with the human-written essays, where “I” appeared a total of 523 times. These findings showed the noteworthy differences in the narrative styles of AI and human writers, showing the potential limitations of free Generative AI models in replicating human-like self-reference and subjectivity in written discourse
FACTORS INFLUENCING THE READINESS AND IMPLEMENTATION OF E-MARKETING IN COMPANIES IN THE REPUBLIC OF NORTH MACEDONIA
In the context of today’s rapidly evolving marketing landscape, it is imperative for companies to remain proactive and respond effectively to the needs and interests of consumers. They must continuously adapt their strategies to the dynamic digital marketing arena to attract new customers and sustain their loyalty and support. The application of e-marketing offers an avenue for innovation, constantly generating new opportunities driven by the introduction of emerging technologies, modern business models, and cutting-edge communication approaches. This paper aims to identify the most influential factors that impact the capability and readiness for e-marketing implementation, as well as the key determinants that influence the actual application of e-marketing in companies within the Republic of North Macedonia. Moreover, the study explores the correlation between various segments (groups of factors) related to capability and readiness, and distinct segments associated with the practical application of e-marketing in the companies under investigation. The results of the correlation and regression analysis revealed a statistically significant and positive correlation between all latent variables and readiness, as well as between all latent variables and the actual application of e-marketing. Both correlation analyses confirmed the results obtained from the descriptive statistics concerning respondents\u27 attitudes. A key focus of this analysis was determining the relationship between the latent variables of readiness and the actual implementation of e-marketing. A strong correlation was found between business and IT resources and the application of e-marketing. Conversely, there was a moderate correlation between human resources and the application of e-marketing. The summary correlation highlighted a strong relationship between readiness and the actual implementation of e-marketing in the examined companies, covering North Macedonia
A THREE SEAS VIEW OF THE UNITED NATIONS – THE POTENTIAL IMPORTANCE OF THE THREE SEAS INITIATIVE FOR IMPLEMENTATION OF THE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS AND RELATED INSTRUMENTS OF INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION
In 2015, on the sidelines of the 70th General Assembly of the United Nations (UN), the Three Seas Initiative (3SI) was established. It is a format of economic cooperation between 13 countries in Central, North- and South-Eastern Europe that are the eastern part of the European Union (EU). However, the Three Seas Initiative can also evolve using instruments of the United Nations (UN) and play a significant role within this international organization in the context of infrastructure. The author will focus on the research problem of international infrastructure cooperation in the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and related forms of partnership based on the Three Seas Initiative. The objectives of the article are to analyze the possible impact of the Three Seas format on the evolution of the above-mentioned forms of cooperation and to explain possible actions taken within their framework for the development of the Three Seas Initiative. The issues mentioned will be clarified primarily based on specific Sustainable Development Goals and actions taken within their scope in the countries covered by the SGDs, also neighboring the 3SI area, which are part of the transregional infrastructure projects of the Initiative. In addition, this issue will also be explained using the example of Resolution 77/282 "Building global resilience and promoting sustainable development through infrastructure connectivity", adopted on 26 April 2023 by the UN General Assembly, which draws inspiration from the 3SI format and its current and potential further impact on international infrastructure cooperation. Possible joint actions of the countries that are co-authors of this document and which could implement projects related to the Three Seas Initiative will also be discussed. Moreover, the possible use of other existing UN infrastructural instruments will be indicated. The conducted research will be based on the analysis of initiatives at the UN forum concerning communication, energy and digital infrastructure, correlated with the Three Seas. In this context, investments for the implementation of the SDGs according to specific goals (including their subject and geographical scope) and Resolution 77/282 and possible actions related to it will be analyzed. The final part of the publication will present conclusions resulting from the conducted analyses and recommendations regarding further undertakings and directions of actions that should be taken in these aspects within the Three Seas Initiative and the United Nations
SEASONAL FLUCTUATION IN THE DIVERSITY OF MACROPHYTES AND THEIR ABUNDANCE IN LAKE PRESPA
In the littoral region of Lake Prespa there are distributed different populations of macrophyte vegetation in zones (belts). The qualitative composition and abundance of macrophyte vegetation are one of the most relevant indicators for the quality of water ecosystem. This group of organisms is characterized by a wide range of environmental tolerances and preferences that characterize indicators of water quality over a long period of time. The sampling of macrophytes was conducted in 4 seasons (spring, summer, autumn and winter) in 2023, in 7 different localities in the Lake (Oteshevo, Stenje, Ezerani, Asamati, Krani, Konjsko, and Nakolec). The results showed that a total of 10 macrophyte species were recorded during the research, with different densities at different depths and seasons. The density of macrophytes is highest at a depth of 2 m, during the summer period. The increased anthropogenic influence and nutrient load, as well as changes in the climate generally caused the seasonal fluctuation and the changes in the diversity and the biomass in all macrophyte species
ANALYSIS OF SOCIAL MEDIA PUBLIC RELATIONS MANAGEMENT IN MACEDONIAN AND TURKISH FOOTBALL CLUBS IN SEASON 22/23
Public relations essentially represent one of the most effective ways to communicate and promote sports clubs. Two-way communication is a key element of well-organized and orderly public relations. With the emergence of social networks, due to the opportunities they offer, public relations represent an important link in the successful management of every sports club. The main goal of the research is to present the current state of public relations management on social networks among football clubs from the First Macedonian League and football clubs from the First Turkish Super League, as well as to make a comparison between the two leagues. In order for the data source to be objective, we applied the following research methods: observation method, analysis method, comparative analysis and synthesis method. After analyzing all segments that indicate the level of success of public relations management through social media, we can conclude that football clubs from the First Macedonian football league do not work enough on public relations and are far less successful compared to football clubs from the First Turkish Super League who recognized the importance of successfully managing public relations through social media for their club
FEMALE CHARACTERS’ RELATIONSHIP TOWARD THEIR BEAUTY IN LITERARY WORKS
The research question in this paper is related to the way female characters are described in the literary works of foreign and domestic famous authors with the aim to showcase their relation with the beauty specifically personal, self perceived beauty, and their differences and similarities. Sampled are 11 female characters from different time periods, starting from ancient times to the present day. The analysis rests on the actantial model and on the qualitative content analysis in which the coding is the base. Five categories of female characters, i.e. women who treat their personal beauty in a different way are distinguished: women who perceive themselves as unmatched beauties or who are vain or narcissistic in the world, then there are the opposite types of narcissists, those beauties who remain indifferent to their own beauty, then women who fear their beauty, cold beauties and finally, those whose beauty is untouched by time
