A Method for Online Participatory Information Sharing in an Event
Get PDFRecently new ways of using networks and new communications connecting people have developed, owing to the high-level functions offered by mobile phones-- for example the availability of global positioning systems, network access and picture taking. We conducted research in this field, focusing on information sharing and support for exhibition events using mobile phones.This approach enabled participants to stimulate each other by obtaining a wide range of opinions and comments through the sharing of information between attendees and exhibitors.
Based on this research, we would also like to propose an information sharing system for exhibition events with mobile phones. Our objectives are to discover and share new values by encouraging not only researchers and observers, but also the general public to participate in this system. "Project of Shepherd" - A Possibility of Art Documentary-
Get PDF"Project of Shepherd" is an artwork in which panels that depict "animals without heads" are set in public spaces, with specific focus on space in the street. This artwork was originally presented in Dusseldorf, Germany in 1998. Since then this artwork has been carried out in various locations both within Japan and abroad and has received high praise. Using the "Project of Shepherd" artwork as a motif, I made five art documentaries during the period from 1999-2006. Proposal of an E-mail Interface for the IT weak
Get PDFThe forms taken by existing analogue tools have strong affordance and are firmly established within our memories. Focusing on the strength of affordance in the design of certain tools and the materials used therein, we attempted to use these as the basis for the weak of an IT device. By doing so we aimed to reduce the cost to the user in remembering how to operate the device and its features. This paper offers an example of a concrete proposal for a system focused on the sending and receiving of emails. We produced a trial device that uses the affordance of mailboxes and postcards to create an email transmission system that imitates the special characteristics of the postal service. The user can send postcards by inserting them into the mailbox-like device, and can receive emails as if they were receiving postcards from the mouth of the device as well.departmental bulletin pape

The "Sekai" in "Sekai Camera" means "World" in Japanese, as Sekai Camera was thought of as a tool for handling people's view of the World. Generally speaking, augmented reality can be thought as technology that ties the real with the virtual and allows information to be manipulated in real time within the real world. But in spite of that simple story, there are many important points about the form of family at Showa-era in this film. Ozu made that film as expression ‘something’ between old and new, adult and children, men and women, and urban and suburb. We can find very contemporary perspective in that film and simultaneously find some lost scenes in which we at Heisei-era can not live. In this paper, I will analyze Ozu’s works and will compare that film with his pre work, for example “I was born, but…(Umarete wa mita keredo)” .
