Replication Data for: Optimizing sparse testing for genomic prediction of plant breeding crops
In plant breeding, sparse testing methods have been suggested to improve the efficiency of the genomic selection methodology. The data provided in this dataset were used to evaluate four methods for allocating lines to environments for sparse testing in multi-environment trials. The analysis was conducted using a multi-trait and uni-trait framework. The accompanying article describes the results of the evaluation as well as a cost-benefit analysis to identify the benefits that can be obtained using sparse testing methods
Replication Data for: Genomic-regions associated with cold stress tolerance in Asia-adapted tropical maize germplasm
Maize is increasingly being grown in the winter season in South Asia when there are low prevailing temperatures and frequent cold snaps. Therefore,.elite varieties must have cold resilience as an important trait. The current study identified a suite of genomic loci associated with grain yield along with agronomic traits such as flowering time and plant height under cold stress environments in a panel of advanced tropically adapted maize lines In addition, the study also identified four lines with potential cold resilience that could be used as breeding starts in the tropical maize breeding pipelines
17th Karnal Bunt Screening Nursery
The Karnal Bunt Screening Nursery is a single replicate nursery that contains diverse spring bread wheat (Triticum aestivum) germplasm adapted to ME1 (Optimally irrigated, low rainfall environment) with total 50-100 entries and white/red grain color
22nd Fusarium Head Blight Screening Nursery
The Fusarium Head Blight Screening Nursery (earlier Scab Resistance Screening Nursery - SRSN) is a single replicate nursery that contains diverse spring bread wheat (Triticum aestivum) germplasm adapted to ME2 (High rainfall environment) and ME4 (Low rainfall, semi-arid environment) with total 50-100 entries and white/red grain color
