Personal-space invasion by other person's belongings : Relationships between psychological and behavioral resposes and anthropophobic tendency among invadees
Get PDFapplication/pdf他者の所有する物体による個人空間の侵害が明白な事態における被侵害者の心理・行動的反応として被侵害感情と対処行動の特徴を検討し、また、それらの特徴と対人恐怖心性との関連を検討した。115人の女子大学生を実験参加者とし、投映法的な質問紙実験を実施した。侵害度が大きくなるほど、被侵害者の被侵害度認知は増加した。被侵害度認知が最も大きかった高侵害条件における被侵害者の被侵害感情は、能動的否定感情と受動的否定感情の2因子構造であり、能動的否定感情の方が受動的否定感情よりも強く喚起された。また、高侵害条件における被侵害者の対処行動は、言語的対処行動と回避逃避行動の2因子構造であり、回避逃避行動の方が言語的対処行動よりも実行可能性が高かった。被侵害者の対人恐怖心性は、5因子構造であることが確認された。被害恐怖心性と能動的否定感情および受動的否定感情との間には正の関係、孤立・親密恐怖心性と能動的否定感情および言語的対処行動との間には負の関係が存在した。journal articl

【Notes】Exploring the Duolingo English proficiency test at the BECC
Get PDFapplication/pdfThis paper describes a study examining the effects of the computer-adaptive Duolingo English Test (DET) among a small group of first and second year students in the Global Communication Department at Hiroshima Bunkyo Women’s University. This test provides a specific DET score and correlates to the widely utilized English language proficiency tests Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) and International English Language Testing System (IELTS). In addition, the DET score is aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR). Therefore, by undergoing the DET, an examinee can gauge her English language level in a variety of milieu. In this project, qualitative data in the form of interviews and anonymous surveys as well as the quantitative data of the participants’ DET scores are examined in order to ascertain the participants’ English proficiency levels, as well as their motivation and confidence levels for studying English. The results indicate that utilizing this DET assessment can positively affect participants’ motivation for studying English and can be a beneficial tool for tracking English language progress.articl
