A Companion to “Jabberwocky” in Translation
Lewis Carroll’s “Jabberwocky” stands as the most famous nonsense poem of all time. Frequently seen as untranslatable, it has nevertheless (or for that very reason) become a touchstone of translation. Yet, although there are several language specific studies of “Jabberwocky” in translation, a broader comparative approach has not been attempted before. With this companion volume we provide insights into the translation history of “Jabberwocky” from its 1871 publication in Lewis Carroll’s Through the Looking-Glass up to the present. The book includes articles by scholars, critics, translators and poets from across the world. For the first time, it will be possible to compare translation strategies and solutions between more than forty different languages, each contributor focusing on one or a few critically and poetically interesting translations of “Jabberwocky.

Lifelong learning and Higher Education: New (and Old) Perspectives: Proceedings from the 2022 Lund University Conference on Teaching and Learning
This is the proceedings volume from the 8th biannual teaching and learning conference at Lund University, LUTL-22. The conference theme, Lifelong Learning and Higher Education: New (and Old) Perspectives, gave rise to a rich spread of presentations and discussions. The volume in your hand holds 13 contributions based on keynote addresses, papers, panels, and roundtable discussions from the conference.
The pedagogical objectives, practices, and challenges of supporting lifelong learning have become pronounced elements in the fabric of higher education in recent years. What does this entail for the teaching staff: for our missions, our methods, and our own professional learning? These issues, and more besides, are approached between these covers
Traces of Sound: Reflections of Sounds Unheard
What is sound when it is not heard? How does this unheard sound affect us? What might such sound reveal to us and how would we know? How do we recall sounds when their sources are no longer accessible? Traces of Sound. Reflections of Sounds Unheard invites scholars of music archaeology, German literature, media technology, sound art, human perception and theoretical physics to reflect upon these questions from their various positions within the broad field of sound studies. The contributors’ answers, empirical material and methods are highly diverse, but they share interests in sounds that are not necessarily heard, how these sounds can be traced, and what stories they might tell. The book is an outcome of the symposium Spår av Ljud (Traces of Sound), organized on the occasion of The Swedish Royal Academy of Music’s 250th anniversary in 2021

Genusvetenskapliga forskningsmetoder
