PERSONALITY TRAITS AS PREDICTORS OF STUDENTS’ EXAMINATION MALPRACTICE IN PUBLIC SECONDARY SCHOOLS IN CROSS RIVER STATE, NIGERIA
The study investigated personality traits as predictors of students’ examination malpractice in public secondary schools in Cross-River State, Nigeria. To guide this study, 3 research questions and 3 null hypotheses were formulated. The study employed correlational survey research design. The population of this study comprised 11, 364 senior secondary two (SS II) students, consisting of 5,530 males 5, 834 females. The sample size for the study consisted of 377 senior secondary two (SS II) students of which 191 are male and 186 are female students. Cohen, Manion and Morrison (2018) criteria for a population of about eleven thousand, three hundred and sixty four (11, 364) at a 95 percent confidence level was used to draw three hundred and seventy seven (377) senior secondary two (SS II) students. The sample was drawn using a multi-stage sampling procedure. Two types of validity were employed in the study, construct and face validity. To determine the reliability coefficient of the instrument Cronbach Alpha was used. Simple linear regression was used to answer research questions and regression-test was used to test the null hypothesis. All the null hypotheses were tested at 0.05 level of significance. Based on the analysis of data in the study, the following findings emerged: openness to experience predicts or accounts for up to 2.4% of students’ examination malpractice in secondary schools in Cross River State. Further analysis revealed a significant predictive power of openness to experience on students’ examination malpractice in public secondary schools in Cross River State; the 8.1% of variation in students’ examination malpractice in secondary schools in Cross River State is attributed to conscientiousness. Further analysis revealed a significant predictive power of conscientiousness on students’ examination malpractice in public secondary schools in Cross River State; and extraversion predicts or accounts for up to 1.7% of students’ examination malpractice in secondary schools in Cross River State. Further analysis revealed a significant predictive power of extraversion on students’ examination malpractice in public secondary schools in Cross River State. Recommendation made included; schools should incorporate character and personality development programs aimed at fostering positive traits such as responsibility, self-discipline, and ethical reasoning among students.  
TEACHER’S QUALIFICATION AND SCHOOL FACILITIES AS DETERMINANTS OF ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE OF STUDENTS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS IN OYO STATE
Education is a fundamental tool for societal progress, and for students with special needs, qualified teachers and appropriate school facilities are crucial in achieving optimal academic outcomes. This study examined the influence of teacher qualifications and school facilities on the academic performance of students with special needs in Oyo State, Nigeria. Two research hypotheses were tested in the study. Descriptive research design was adopted for the study. The population consisted of 2,815 students from five secondary schools that mainstreamed students with special needs in Oyo State, with a sample of 373 students purposively selected from these schools. Data were collected using a selfdesigned questionnaire, tagged “Teacher’s Qualification and School Facilities as Determinants of Academic Performance Questionnaire” (TQPFSAPQ). The instrument was subjected to face and content validity by the experts in the fields of special education as well as measurement and evaluation. Test re-test reliability method was used to establish the reliability of 0.85. Inferential statistics of regression analysis was used to test the hypotheses at 0.05 alpha level of significance. The findings revealed that both teacher qualifications and school facilities significantly affect the academic performance of students with special needs. These results underline the importance of well-trained teachers and adequate school infrastructure in fostering a supportive learning environment for students with special needs. The study recommends enhanced teacher training, improved learning materials, inclusive school environments, and increased resource personnel to support students with special needs in secondary schools. 
AWARENESS AND READINESS OF UNIVERSITY STUDENTS TOWARDS EMERGING TECHNOLOGIES FOR OPTIMUM LEARNING OUTCOMES IN UNIVERSITIES IN ANAMBRA STATE
The research is anchored on assessing the level of awareness and readiness of university students of Federal and State Universities in Anambra state. Specifically, the study provided empirical evidence on the current state of technological knowledge and preparedness of university students in Anambra state universities towards embracing emerging technologies for the purposes of improving learning in 21st century education. A descriptive survey research design was adopted for this study. The study were guided by three research questions and three null hypotheses. The target population consisted of regular undergraduate students from universities in Anambra state at the tune of 30,000 students. The sample size comprised four hundred students’ across two public universities; Nnamdi Azikiwe university, Awka (NAU) and Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu university, Ighariam (COOU). Multi stage sampling technique was used to draw target audience. A 30 item researchers’ constructed and validated questionnaire was used for data collection at 5-point likert scale. The reliability of the instrument was established using Cronbach\u27s alpha, and the reliability index was found to be within the acceptable limit of 0.81 indicating a high level of internal consistency. An online survey using Google Forms and physical forms were used to collect the data. Mean and standard deviation were used to analyze the research questions while the null hypothesis was tested using ANOVA at 0.05 level of significance. The findings revealed that the level of awareness was weighted at 3.04, therefore showing that awareness is moderately high. On the other hand, readiness was weighted 2.44, which indicated slightly ready. Finding also revealed the extent of usage was 2.93, this revealed small extent usage of emerging technologies for learning purposes. Results of the hypotheses showed that there were no significant difference between male and female university students in their level of awareness, readiness and usage in universities in Anambra State respectively. The study recommended amongst others, a periodic sensitization programme where university students will be educated on the relevance of these emerging technologies for their academic and professional development.  
EFFECT OF GEOMTRIC CONSTRUCTIONS TEACHING STRATEGY ON STUDENTS’ ACHIEVEMENT AND INTERESTS IN LEARNING GEOMETRY IN PUBLIC SECONDARY SCHOOLS IN JALINGO LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA, TARABA STATE, NIGERIA
This study assessed the effectiveness of mathematics Geometric construction on cognitive learning outcomes of public secondary school students in geometry concepts. The study adopted quasi experimental research design using mathematics Geometric construction and the conventional strategy. The population of the study consists of all the ss 2 students in all the public schools in Jalingo local government area of Taraba state. A random sampling technique was used to select 100 students drawn from five (5) selected public secondary schools in Jalingo local Government Area of Taraba State. Three (3) schools were selected from the urban areas, while two schools were selected from the rural areas, with 20 students from each selected school. Conventional teaching method and a validated item of Geometric construction Achievement Test (GAT) instrument for students with reliability of 0.93 was used to collect data from the subjects. Three research questions and two null hypotheses were postulated and tested at 0.05 significant level using. Descriptive statistics of mean and standard deviation and Inferential statistics of t-test were used in analyzing the data. The experimental group that utilized mathematics Geometric constructions performed better than the control group. School types and gender was found to have no significant effect on the mean achievement scores of the students. The mean achievement scores of both male and female students were better improved on the use of mathematics Geometric constructions establishing that the use of Geometric constructions was independent of gender. The researchers recommended that mathematics Geometric constructions instructional strategy should be given more emphasis when teaching geometry concepts. 
Design of e-module based on eXe-Learning on human movement system material
The human movement system material is one of the most difficult materials, this requires the use of certain media so that the teacher\u27s ability to master technology is required to develop a learning media. This research aims to design or develop E-Module media based on eXe-Learning on human movement system material intended for class XI Science students in order to increase motivation and learning outcomes. The method used is the Research and Development (RnD) method which applies the development model from Alessi and Trollip, which includes the planning, design and development stages. The research results show that the E-Module design for planning starts from identifying the problem, studying the problem, determining sources and components, and brainstorming. The design stage consists of downloading and installing the application, selecting the format, changing the main title of the E-Module, determining the appearance design, creating a product design, collecting sources and components, preparing a draft of the E-Module and creating a storyboard. The development stage includes the stage of bringing together the concept, the editing process. The E-Module media design is designed to help teachers prepare teaching materials that have difficulty with high scientific language
Design of an induced roller magnetic separator for mineral value addition
Material separation is critical in value addition process especially in mining and other related industry. There are several methods employed in separating material into different classes. Magnetic separator as a separation technique/method leverages the magnetic properties of materials and is employed in various industries, including mineral processing industries, recycling, and resource recovery. Researchers and Engineers have conducted numerous studies to comprehend how different types of paramagnetic minerals behave when separated using various separator technologies. However, despite these efforts, these separators have not been widely adopted for processing different paramagnetic minerals because most of the existing induced roller magnetic separator have poor efficiency, cost-effectiveness and adaptability for different paramagnetic minerals. This paper examines the current state of these separators, providing an overview of their operational mechanisms, practical uses, and theoretical models. It goes further to design an induced roller magnetic separator after considering various factors such as magnetic susceptibility, cost, adaptability and performance efficiency, while observing certain industry specifications. The resulting design will be able produce a magnetic field of about 2.2 Tesla that can be used to separate certain minerals for a reasonable period of time. Further implementation and modification of this design will hope to yield an increase in the extraction and processing of various minerals internally within Nigeria, minimizing dependence on importation of machines, providing jobs and improving the economic status of this countr
Temperature-Driven Dynamics of Small Spherical Particle Adhesion on Submerged Substrates: Mechanisms and Interfacial Interactions
Understanding the adhesion dynamics of small spherical particles on submerged substrates is crucial for various applications in colloidal science, materials engineering, and industrial processes. This study investigates the force required to initiate the rolling motion of glass spheres on an inclined glass surface in water and ethanol, examining the effect of temperature on this force. The results confirm the presence of van der Waals attractions between the spheres and the substrate, which are weakened by thermal energy. As temperature increased, the liquid matrices expanded, reducing density while decreasing the angle of inclination needed for particle motion. This reduction was attributed to a decrease in the coefficient of friction with rising temperature. The Hamaker coefficient, derived from the experimental data, ranged from 1.986 × 10⁻¹⁵ to 5.296 × 10⁻¹⁵ mJ/m² in water and 2.262 × 10⁻¹⁵ to 5.278 × 10⁻¹⁵ mJ/m² in ethanol, suggest agreement with literature values and showing a tendency to increase with temperature. Similarly, the coefficient of friction decreased from 0.0680 to 0.0400 in water and from 0.0480 to 0.0326 in ethanol, further supports the role of thermal energy in modifying interfacial interactions. These findings provide insights into the thermally driven adhesion mechanisms of submerged particles, with implications for optimizing material handling, coating technologies, and microfluidic system
Synthesis and Structural Characterization of Polyaniline–Tin-Oxide Nanocomposite for Device Application
In this research, polyaniline (PANI) and tin (iv) oxide (SnO2) nanoparticles and polyaniline/SnO2 nanocomposites were successfully synthesized by chemically oxidative polymerization of aniline in the presence of hydrochloric acid using ammonium persulfate as an oxidizing agent. The purpose of this study is to synthesize and investigate polyaniline/tin (iv) oxide nanocomposite for optoelectronics application. The synthesized nanocomposites were characterized to ascertain possible applications of the nanocomposites. The x- ray diffraction (XRD) analysis was carried out using x-ray diffraction machine. The results of the structural analysis showed that the formed polyaniline is a polymer, while SnO2 showed tetragonal rutile phase. The average crystallite size of was obtained for SnO2. PANI/SnO2 nanocomposites have structural pattern of tetragonal rutile phase and an average crystallite size range between and were obtained. The obtained results in this study revealed good results which are comparable with results obtained by other researchers in literature. These results obtained suggest the possibility of using the material in optoelectronics devices like LEDs, solar cells, transducers, and photodetectors. 
EFFECT OF ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY PRACTICES ON INNOVATION DEVELOPMENT OF LISTED MANUFACTURING FIRMS IN NIGERIA
Material and waste management practices are critical components of environmental sustainability practices, particularly in the manufacturing sector. This study examined how these practices drive innovation among Nigerian manufacturing firms, focusing on their impact on research and development (R&D) expenditures. Using secondary data from the 2013 – 2023 annual reports of 38 listed manufacturing firms sampled in this research, the study investigated the role of effective material utilization, recycling, and waste reduction strategies in fostering innovation. The findings suggest that firms that integrate sustainable material and waste management practices achieve significant improvements in product innovation and operational efficiency. The study recommends that Implementing Just-In-Time (JIT) inventory practice can help manufacturing firms reduce excess inventory holding costs while ensuring that the necessary materials are available when needed for research and development projects. Moreso, embracing lean manufacturing principles can help manufacturing firms identify and eliminate waste throughout the production process and support sustainable industrial practices
IMPACT OF AUDIT QUALITY ON ORGANISATIONAL SURVIVAL OF FINANCIAL FIRMS IN NIGERIA
This study examined the impact of audit quality on organizational survival of financial firms in Nigeria. The reason for this study was that, investors are now unable to make informed financial decisions that will have a positive impact on businesses as a whole due to the apparent lack of audit quality. The specifics objectives of the study are to evaluate the relationship between audit quality, to examine the influence of audit independence and to ascertain the effect of audit firm size all on financial performance of banking sector in Nigeria. Secondary data was used in this study and Ordinary Least Square (OLS) multiple regression was used to analyzed the data with the aid of Statav13 2024 output statistical software. The study employed an ex post factor research design because the data for the study was extracted from annual report and account of the Nigerian financial firms. A purposive sampling technique was employed to select 10 financial firms listed on the Nigerian Exchange Group as at 31st December, 2023. The study covered a time frame of five (5) years, starting from 2019 – 2023. The study found out that audit independence, and audit firms size has negative effect on the organizational survival, while audit quality has positive effect on financial performance. From our analyses and findings, the study therefore recommends that Invest should engaging reputable audit firms with proven track records of quality and independence, implement stricter guidelines to ensure audit independence and transparency across the banking sector and audit firms should provide continuous training and development programs to their staff to enhance audit quality in their wor
