An Appraisal of Gender Justice and Legal Reforms in Nigeria: Assessing the Efficacy of Legislative Frameworks and Societal Impact
The intersection of gender and law in contemporary Nigeria raises complex and pivotal issues that profoundly impact individuals\u27 lives. This paper delves into the historical context of Nigeria as a patriarchal society, where men predominantly wield power, and the legal framework mirrors this gender imbalance. Despite the existence of laws that prohibit discrimination, women continue to experience marginalisation in areas such as education, employment, and inheritance rights. This underscores the disparity between policy and execution, exacerbating the intricacies of gender and law in Nigeria. An analysis of the intricacies of gender and law in modern Nigeria indicates that much progress is still required to attain gender equality and justice for all. The data was collected using the doctrinal method, employing an analytical approach to review various statutes, court cases, journals, and online materials. The findings underscore the urgent need for the government to review and amend discriminatory laws, enforce gender equality legislation, and advocate for equal representation of women in decision-making roles. Moreover, there is a pressing need for a shift in societal attitudes towards gender roles and norms to achieve genuine gender equality in Nigeria.

A Legal Examination of Persistent and Contentious Issues on the Obtaining and Application of Evidence in Courts’ Proceedings in Nigeria
Adjudication is carried out on relevant, admissible and available evidence before the law court. These pieces of evidence are obtained, kept and tendered in court based on carefully laid down laws, rules, procedure and processes by statutorily established institutions and individuals. Evidence could be physical, documentary or oral in nature. It can also be classified as primary and secondary evidence in which case; different requirements of the law must be met for their acquisition and admission by courts. Evidence can be obtained by search of premises with or without search warrants or through investigation that include interrogation of suspects or witnesses by law enforcement agencies and the tendering of evidence in court by witnesses. Issues relating to the obtaining of evidence, legality or otherwise of the means of obtaining this evidence and the requirements for tendering them in court for considerations are recurring and seems irresolute, despite the creation of new agencies and laws saddled with these crucial duties. This work is therefore targeted at having an in-depth study of the laws in the area of obtaining and presentation of evidence before the law court for the resolution of disputes and declaration of rights between contending parties. This is of importance, since cases are decided on preponderance or weight of evidence presented by parties in court. Doctrinal research methodology is employed in this work. It is the findings of the work that, most cases in court end in dismissal due to lack of evidence, or improperly obtaining and handling of it, and wrongful or lack of proper adherence to laid down procedure of tendering evidence in court. The research recommended among others, a streamlining of the laws and institutions regulating evidence in Nigeria and a proper training of officers or personnels in charge of evidence law in Nigeria
MODERATED MEDIATION OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP EDUCATION, SATISFACTION WITH ENTREPRENEURSHIP EDUCATION AND ENTREPRENEURIAL INTENTIONS IN VOCATIONAL EDUCATION AND TRAINING
Career, vocational, and higher education literature have relatively established that entrepreneurship education (EE) has direct link with entrepreneurial intentions (EIs) and has also considered the role of attitude in link, yet scholars rarely take into account the nomological network of the link with specific attention on the role of student satisfaction with EE. Supported with the theory of planned behaviour (TPB), this study explored the sequential roles of satisfaction with entrepreneurship education (SWEE) and personal attitude (PAT) in the link between EE and EI among higher education students (HES). The study further explored the moderating role of gender in the nomology. To cover HES with varieties of specialties who have been engaged in EE in more than one academic semester, the participants (N = 165) were drawn from technology and business education programmes in a university in Nigeria. By employing structural equation modelling, the findings of the study revealed direct association of EE with EIs, with no sequential indirect effects of SWEE and PAT. The result showed that PAT mediated the pathway from EE to EIs. However, gender moderated how EE influences EIs. Implications are therefore discussed
THE ROLE OF EMPLOYABILITY SKILLS IN ENHANCING WORKFORCE RESILIENCE AND ADAPTABILITY IN A DISTRESSED ECONOMY
In distressed economies characterized by unemployment, inflation, technological disruption, and global uncertainties, employability skills have become critical for fostering workforce resilience and adaptability. This paper explores how competencies such as problem-solving, critical thinking, communication, teamwork, adaptability, and digital literacy enable individuals to withstand economic shocks, navigate job transitions, and sustain career growth in dynamic labour markets. It highlights how economic challenges intensify the demand for workers who can embrace lifelong learning, leverage both soft and technical skills, and adapt quickly to evolving roles. The discussion positions employability skills as survival tools, examining their role in resilience, adaptability and workforce sustainability, while also considering stakeholder perspectives and implications. The paper argues that individuals, employers, and policymakers share a collective responsibility to prioritize skill development in addressing graduate unemployment, bridging skills gaps, and enhancing national productivity. Ultimately, it concludes that deliberate investment in employability skills is essential not only for individual career success but also for sustaining organizational competitiveness and strengthening long-term economic resilience in a volatile global environment

Findings revealed that students perceived AI tools as beneficial in enhancing the quality, speed, quality and structure of students’ project writing. However, impediments such as lack of technical know-how, over-dependence on AI, concerns about originality, and ethical implications were reported. The study recommends among others that institutions should incorporate AI literacy into the curriculum, train students on responsible AI use, and establish clear ethical guidelines for AI-assisted project writing for better academic performance.
