Regulatory support also fosters trust among supply chain partners and increases the confidence of stakeholders. The study recommends to foster the adoption of blockchain technology in supply chain risk mitigation, it is essential to improve the technology infrastructure in developing economies. The government and private sector should collaborate to invest in robust digital systems, ensuring reliable internet access and technological tools that support blockchain solutions
EFFECT OF SOCIO-PSYCHOLOGICAL FACTORS ON VOLUNTARY TAX COMPLIANCE IN GOMBE STATE
Tax authorities across the world have struggled with the question of why people voluntarily comply with tax laws. To have a better insight into the phenomena, this study explores how religiosity, moral reasoning, perception of government and peer influence affects voluntary tax compliance behaviour of self-employed. Surveying 367 self-employed individuals, the results of regression analysis showed that religiosity and peer influence have significant positive impact on voluntarily tax compliance. However, the finding of the study revealed that moral reasoning and perception of government have no significant impact on voluntary tax compliance. This study recommends that government should also engage in massive campaign that will highlight the importance of paying taxes to individuals and also emphasises the religious injunctions on tax evasion since level of religiosity was found to have an influence on voluntary tax compliance behaviour
CAPITAL MIX AND FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE OF DEPOSIT MONEY BANKS IN NIGERIA
This study looked at how the banking sector\u27s capital composition affected its performance in Nigeria. The objectives of the study were to examine how debt-to-equity ratio affects credit to the private sector (CPS), and evaluate how debts-to-total assets relate to CPS in Nigeria. The study used annual data from 1960 to 2021, sourced from World Development Indicators. It adopted autoregressive distributed lag (ARDL), fully modify ordinary least square (FMOLS) and generalized method of moment (GMM).The results showed that effective management of debt finance can greatly increase private sector\u27s access and availability to credit, which may in turn foster economic expansion. The CPS is positively impacted by both ratios of debt-to-equity and debt-to-total assets, and hence conclude that the crowding-out theory does not hold in Nigeria. The paper argues that tax benefits play a crucial role in driving the increased use of debt for credit provision. Policymakers should boost tax incentives for debt financing while ensuring robust risk management practices that prevent excessive leverage and maintain financial stability. Regulatory authorities, like Nigeria’s Central Bank (CBN), should set up guidelines that promote optimal leverage ratios, striking harmony between debt and equity to support long - term financial results

IMPACT OF GOVERNMENT AGRICULTURAL FINANCING ON NIGERIAN ECONOMY
This study examined the impact of government agricultural financing on Nigerian economy. The investigation became necessary as inadequate access to agricultural credit appears to persist in Nigeria, posing a constraint to the optimization of farming activities in the country. The study’s specific objectives were to evaluate the impact of the Agricultural Credit Guarantee Scheme Fund (A.C.G.S.F.) on Real Gross Domestic Product (RGDP) and Balance of Trade (BoT), while controlling for Domestic Capital Formation (D.C.F). The ex-post facto research design was adopted while time series data were collected from the Central Bank of Nigeria’s Statistical Bulletin. Having employed the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) model in the data analysis, the test results indicated that government agricultural financing through the A.C.G.S.F., has a long-run positive and significant impact on real gross domestic product in Nigeria for the period of study. The result showed that a 1% increase in the A.C.G.S.F., would yield about 3.3% increases in real gross domestic product in Nigeria. The results also revealed a long-run positive but insignificant impact on balance of trade in Nigeria for the period of study. The study concluded that the A.C.G.S.F if well-articulated, remains the most viable channel for government financing of agriculture in Nigeria. Thus, it was recommended that the Nigerian government should come up with long term agricultural financial development promotion plan. Also, policy measures should be used in stimulating massive and consistent financial investment in the agricultural sector to increase RGDP and balance of trade
