    This speech welcomes attendees to a roundtable discussion on Artificial Intelligence (AI), e-governance, and access to information, convened by Nigeria's National Committee on the Information for All Programme (IFAP) in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy. It highlights the unprecedented speed of AI development and the global challenge of implementing AI, e-governance, and access to information for sustainable national development. The roundtable aims to brainstorm benefits and risks, harness opportunities for empowered citizens, and promote inclusive approaches for information access and open data. The speech outlines IFAP's role in promoting access to information, supporting training, fostering local content, and encouraging international standards and networking. It notes that while Nigeria excels in these areas, a unified approach at UNESCO conferences is needed. The IFAP committee, with the National Librarian/CEO as Chairperson, includes various national stakeholders and has contributed to achievements like facilitating the Freedom of Information Bill.     In accordance with the provision of Section 9 of the land use act of 1978, Delta state have established user friendly property registration process for the purpose of the issuance of statutory right of occupancy (SC of O) and customary right of occupancy (RC of O) respectively through the ministry of lands and survey and the local government council respectively. For the purpose of clarity: Certificate of occupancy (SC of O) is a land title document issued by the governor evidencing the grant of a statutory right of occupancy on land in urban areas. Customary rights of occupancy (RC of O) is a legal document issued by the local government chairman evidencing the grant of customary right of occupancy on lands in rural areas.
