Its focus is on the theory and practice of nursing and midwifery, specifically focused on nursing research, clinical nursing, nursing education, evidence-based nursing, nursing ethics, and the psycho-social implications and problems encountered in nursing and midwifery. The journal accepts original research papers and reviews in English. Each manuscript is peer-reviewed by two reviewers independent on each other; the process is double-blind. All articles are published open access, with payment of article charges

Je zaměřen na otiskování původních autorských textů, věnovaných především problematice historické bez dalšího chronologického nebo tematického omezení. Záměrem je publikovat hlavně texty, které vznikly na pomezí různých vědních oborů, např. historie a sociologie, historie a ekonomie, historie a demografie, historie a dějiny umění, resp. kultury, historie a ekologie, historie a etnologie apod. Časopis by měl rovněž přispět k informování české čtenářské obce o stavu domácího i zahraničního výzkumu

No full textThe peer-reviewed journal Acta Facultatis Philosophicae Universitatis Ostraviensis Studia Germanistica continues in the tradition of the collections of studies published by the Faculty's Department of German Studies in 2006 and 2007. Studia Germanistica was launched as a peer-reviewed journal in 2008 and has been issued biannually since 2009. From the very beginning, all papers submitted to Studia Germanistica have undergone a process of standard independent double-blind peer review. The members of the editorial board are all renowned scholars of German language, literature and culture based at universities in the Czech Republic and abroad. Studia Germanistica only accepts original papers that have not been published or submitted for publication elsewhere

No full textStudia Slavica is a reviewed scientific journal the origins of which go back to 1993. Until 2017, it was published by the Department of Slavonic Studies at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Ostrava and the University of Opole. Since 2002, the Studia Slavica has been published regularly once a year and since 2013 the periodicity increased to two issues a year. The journal publishes original scientific articles from the field of Slavonic literature, Slavonic linguistics, didactics of Slavonic languages, cultural and translation studies and it illustrates the current state and development in the field of Slavonic philology. The journal also includes reviews, information on new publications and a chronicle. Since the very beginning of its existence, all contributions published in the Studia Slavica journal have undergone an independent review procedure. Papers are published in all Slavonic languages, including an English-language abstract and summary
