For this reason, the government through the Ministry of Energy and Hydrocarbons decided to carry out numerous hydroelectric plants in the Bolivian Amazon. The expressed objective is to turn the nation into the energy heart of the Southern Cone and thus export the energy produced to different bordering countries, among which is Brazil. However, due to the large size of the dams a discussion was developed in the population about the impacts that would be generated in the environmental, social and economic aspects.Bolivia está realizando una transformación significativa a su matriz energética. Por tal razón, el gobierno a través del Ministerio de Energía e Hidrocarburos decidió realizar numerosas hidroeléctricas en la Amazonia Boliviana.
